Move was scheduled for 8 AM, showed up at 1PM. A one bedroom, living room and dining room... no appliances. The move was 5 miles and took over 7 hrs to complete, @ $164 per hour + an hour charge for travel time.

I'm not as young as I used to be and I hate moving, so this gave me the perfect opportunity to try…read moreout a moving company. I asked around, did some Internet searches, read some reviews and O'Connors Moving's name kept popping up. Heck, my storage unit even put in a good word for them. I called and scheduled a time to move what amounted to a one bedroom apartment's worth of items. O'Connors said three guys could do the job. Then they quoted me a price for three hours with an additional cost if the move took longer. I took their advice and away we went. The day of the move, the guys called and gave me about 15-20 minutes notice and then met me at my storage unit. After we loaded up, we went to my old place and got the rest of my things. Then we all drove to my new place and unloaded. The total time for the move was just over three hours for a fee of around $415*. I added a tip. I admit, I could have moved by myself for less money. At the same time I would have had to ask for volunteers, some of whom would probably flake, and it probably would have taken longer. ThenI would have had to find some way to compensate said volunteers. In this case, O'Connors made it easy, they did the heavy lifting and I was at work after only having to take the morning off. Trustworthy, professional and easy to work with. I'll probably move again one of these days. When I do, I'll call O'Connors for a quote. *Note: Not a huge thing, but O'Connors charged a small fee to drive to and from my move. I'm not sure if everybody does this and I honestly don't remember if it was mentioned when I made my quote, but I wanted to bring it up. It won't preclude me from using O'Connors again, because they were fantastic, but I thought a possible end user who is shopping around might want to know.

John O'Conner came highly recommended by a friend. His company is not the first moving company I've hired (for the record, the only thing I remember about the first was that they used the leg to my girlfriend's massage table as a wheel chock). I had a lot of angst about moving - there's nothing really fun about it. I took several evenings to pack and then two full days of vacation to finish. I spent a fortune on boxes and packing material - not to mention all the new stuff you have to buy for a new place. The only two good things about this experience is that I have a house I'm starting to feel at home in, and I met John O'Conner. A pretty bright guy once shared with me his theory for hiring great people by simply saying he appreciates a list of accomplishments but what he looks for is someone he'd let watch his kids. John is that guy. I'm sure I'll never move myself again, and I'm sure I'll never hire anyone else besides John and his company to do it.

Andre says this is what I do - and that is accurate. More: I had called 3 local professional movers and a college one that asked questions for 20 minutes, and Bungii, that denied service due to weight object, I found Andre through YELP. Took a few pictures of the product and the location, and he came in at 1/2 the cost, and was there early, great communication, had the appropriate help and tools. Andre talked to me yesterday regarding how much it is going to cost me to make this long-distance move? Andre told me that I need to tell him What kinds of things that will need to have his two men crew come over to my house and then they will have to pack up my stuff into these packing boxes, wardrobe bags and any other light furniture or small kitchen appliances that will be included in my move to this area. Andre said the price is determined by the quantity of the items that needs to be loaded into their truck, the weight of these total items and the location of the area I will be moving to from my city in Oceanside, CA. Andre talked to me during our cell phone conversation for about (one hour) because, I had a lot of questions to ask Andre about my long-distance move from my home to another area that I will be moving to which will be sometime after the beginning in May of 2023. Andre told me last night that he will send me a text message on my Apple IPhone XR with the estimated quote on the total price of this long-distance move to another area. Andre said I will have to put down a 20% Deposit on the (total cost) of this estimated quote to secure my reservation with him on this (specific date and time), I prefer to have his two men team come over to my house to make this move for me to another area. I did receive the price of my Free Quote this morning from Andre J. I will not list my quote on the total price that Andre the owner on World Class Movers, due to the reason that every customer is different in their needs for a long-distance move to another area.I did receive a military discount because my father is in the Marine Corps. I believe that Andre he quoted me a fair price on this long-distance move. I need to talk to my boyfriend Michael about the price if he can afford to pay this amount of money to Andre J. the owner of World Class Movers. I believe Andre gave me an excellent price for this move to transport my car and my stuff to another area sometime in May of 2023. I am giving Andre's business this World Class Movers Company, a 5 star review on just my phone conversation I had with him last night. Andre gave me excellent customer service, he was very professional and also Andre has 15 years of experience in the moving industry. I reached out, and Zack and Ryan were very quick to give a quote (super reasonable) and they were flexible with their availability with my strange schedule limitations! Overall, I will be looking to book this company again if I need to move again! First off, I was able to schedule over a week in advance easily with these guys. I had some scheduling conflicts for the Friday afternoon they could work me into their schedule, and after telling them this, they said they could do the move at 9 am that day if it worked for my schedule (which it did!). They also ended up getting to my house 15 minutes EARLY which was so helpful and better for them with the weather (it was 100 degrees forecasted for later in the day!). Even with the weather, these guys were super patient and so friendly. They really exceeded my expectations because I've heard some horror stories about movers--not these guys, they are AMAZING. They moved all my things from a first floor apartment to a third floor apartment (with no elevator--I'm so sorry!) with no issues. Everything was in the same shape as when the stuff left my other apartment. We ran into one snaffu (not any fault of theirs but mine!) when my couch couldn't fit up the stairway--they helped me move the couch back to my old apartment so that I could figure out what to do with it! Price - they quoted $150-200 for the job and finished in 45 min, for only $150. No travel fee, no 2 hour minimum - just great service at a great price. 2. Prompt - they showed up right on time. Wasn't overly satisfied with the move these guys did. They were very quick to move everything out…read moreof my old place and into my new one but before I committed to the service I was told over the phone they had tools to disassemble and reassemble. That did not appear to be the case. Everything that needed to be taken apart they just looked for a work around to fit it out of my apartment and into the truck. The only exception was my bed which was something they had zero choice but to disassemble. They're lucky the bed didn't require tools to take apart as it basically all fits together like legos. The part that dissatisfied me the most is they did not reassemble my bed when they moved it in. At least not fully. They put some of the frame together but it didn't matter much as the pieces werent put in the correct order so I had to take the whole thing apart and start over anyways. They also damaged one of my lamps and there was a big tear in it since it's one of those latern style lamps and the paper is fragile. I taped it on the inside just so it doesn't look as bad. I have two of these lamps and for some reason one of them they transported whole and the other one they flattened it and took it apart. Lastly, I contacted them about some sort of compensation and doing something about replacing my lamps and the lack of reassembling my bed. This was weeks ago and I've yet to hear back. I don't recommend this service and will probably never go with them again.
