I was referred to Arkansas Leak Detection by my local plumbing company. They came out and spent several hours attempting to locate a water leak. After their inspection, they marked a spot under my concrete slab and stated that the leak was located there. Based on their findings, my plumbing company spent an entire day cutting through and removing a section of the slab, which cost me thousands of dollars. After the slab was opened, it became clear that there was no leak in the location Arkansas Leak Detection had identified. The actual leak was more than 20 feet away from the spot they marked. I contacted Arkansas Leak Detection to discuss the issue and seek a resolution. I was told that the owner would call me back, but I never received a return call. Over the following weeks, I made several additional attempts to contact the company regarding a refund or at least a discussion about what happened. Unfortunately, neither the owner nor anyone else from the company ever followed up with me. My experience was extremely disappointing. The inaccurate leak location resulted in significant unnecessary expense, and the complete lack of communication afterward demonstrated very poor customer service. read more

This is truly a professional company. They do everything right from scheduling to showing up on time, and getting to work finding the leak (which was totally hidden underground). We have a large lot with about a 5-6 hundred foot water line. They zeroed in on the leak very quickly. They then dug it up (a small opening) and repaired the line. They stayed for more than 30 minutes to be sure the repair would hold. I was amazed at the minimal price for this repair considering they had to travel about 300 miles round trip. I have a very difficult crawlspace that has limited access. I suspected I had a leak due to slight odor and some drain flies around vent. I could not see or get to the leak, but initially called a plumber who recommended an entire new sewer line for 5K. A second opinion was in order, and I called American Leak Detector to investigate. It took Matt and Mike about 30 minutes to find the leak and also fix. Turns out it was a drain cap that had come loose or rusted off of a cleanout line and every time the kitchen sink turned on, water dribbled out of the open access. Mike even took a video with his camera to show me the problem. These guys were top shelf and could get to places I thought impossible. It was such a relief to have the problem identified AND repaired. Very professional and very nice guys. Had this company come to house to replace wax ring under toilet because it was leaking. They said it would be $40 to show up and would look at the problem. Told my wife it would be $273 to replace wax ring, unfortunately she said OK. She said it took about an hour. She questioned the price and plumber said it was standard price for that repair. So if you use these people you probably should ask the price before the come to your house. Needless to say I will not call this company again. read more
