Top notch service! My first septic tank, and the first time having it pumped. Even though the…read moreinitial appointment did not go great, the follow up appointment more than made up for it. Initial service appt.- The service technician rolled up on his phone speaking to a family member or SO, looking for another job, discussing various job postings, and just overall not very interested in providing the service. The first issue was that he didn't know enough about septic tanks to locate an access lid, or at least one that would open (it was winter and the ground was frozen), and I had never gone through the process. Hoping to still get the tank pumped, I threw on my bibs and crawled under the deck, digging for another lid. The Tech was not very helpful with this. I finally located the lid, but it was frozen, so then I began filling buckets of hot water to melt the ice. Tech went back to his phone call. I eventually had to give up because the lid was just getting damaged any time he attempted to lift it. I told him I'd call to reschedule when the temps increased. Follow-up - I spoke with or emailed one of the owners regarding what happened during the service visit and needing to reschedule. She was shocked by the tech's behavior and put me back on the schedule for the soonest possible date. I think a day or two before the new appt. the second owner (they're sisters) called for a quick run-down, and to let me know that she herself would be out to pump my tank. They kept me updated throughout the process and even taught me a couple of things about living on septic. Finally, and the initial reason I chose Dependable Waste Solutions as my service provider is despite being located out in Cabot, their price beat out all the other septic service companies I called, even the local ones 5-10 minutes from my house. I only had to schedule during a normal route day in my area, and I was able to avoid any travel fees. I highly recommend them, and will be bringing my future business here, or rather, I will most definitely have them pumping my future business once full.

I had a leak in the drain from the washer and dryer in the kitchen so it was gray water. It's not a…read morebig leak, but it was a leak and was starting to smell under the house so I called one plumbing company and they were real busy for at least a week and I called Ray Lusk and they could be there in 30 minutes and they were and he looked at it. He took pictures. He took a video. I knew exactly what they were gonna do he said OK let me make a phone call. See how much they wanna charge you came back. This is not a big deal. It was cutting out cast-iron and putting in PVC in place so at the most maybe a two hour job at the most he came back with almost a $2000 bill which was outrageous. I couldn't believe it. I said well you know I can't afford that. I guess I'll just have to put up with it so he left. He came back with a $1200 bill and I said no I'm not doing that either. He finally came back one more time with $1000 at the most they should've called $600. It was a $15 stick. It was a 10 foot stick of 3 inch PVC I looked it up no excuse me 2 inch PVC I looked it up. It cost $15. I did it because I didn't have any choice. I needed it done that day because I was going back to work and I didn't know if there would be another plumber available. Someone had paid the money, but that is outrageous. That is outrageous that is thievery that they would even think that I would be that stupid to believe that it cost that much it's outrageous and I'll never call them back again. If I have time to get somebody else, I will not the job was top quality you ain't gonna have to worry about they did. He did a great job. He showed me pictures, but to me that was just an insult. It made me look like a fool.
