I mean, it's a veteran club. It's not fancy nor is it brand new. You there are membership requirements to go in so it's an exclusive thing. I know they are in a perpetual fundraising cycle to improve the post but I'm sure that's most of the clubs. We have been a handful of times , mostly for Sunday breakfasts. It's reasonable prices and the food is ok. I've never had an issue with rude people or anything and I have never met the post commander. I've spoken to him on the phone a few times and he seems decent enough. If you qualify for membership, it's a nice outdoor venue for a party. We are having my daughter's graduation party and it's not over the top expensive to use for a few hours. We played bingo there yesterday and it was cheap enough. I've never been to a bingo hall and the last time I played bingo was almost 20 years ago at a church in Massachusetts. We are actually looking to be more visible at the place so I think I will be going quite a bit in the near future. read more

I have been to a few Legion Posts and to me this was probably the most dynamic with many monthly activities, especially around the holidays. I ate different meals there - Saturday breakfast buffet, Weds burger night, and Friday Riders Steak, etc meal. All were restaurant quality in my opinion (okay, we don't eat out much at fancy restaurants) , -- as the cooks with their volunteer helpers all took pride in what they were doing. The great thing is it wasn't just a bunch of "old guys" like some of the other Posts, but it seems like they are getting a good amount of younger Veterans to balance out the place. Plus, I really liked their long list of volunteer / charity work. So I joined. read more

Fantastic Sunday breakfast made to order at a reasonable price and the friendliest people. So much better than Post 161. They serve a very overpriced buffet. And I can count on one hand the friendly people at that Post. Love Lakewood, CO Legion! read more

Always enjoy our time here. Great, friendly people, not sure why anyone would not have a good time. always a lunch, Dinner or breakfast coming up, bands on Fridays, Bingo on Thursday and Saturdays. if you're a veteran, do yourself a favor and join AL Post 178.
