Today was the complete opposite. There are signs asking customers not to abuse cash back because the business incurs debit card fees--essentially asking customers to be considerate of the business's costs. Yet when I asked for one small plastic bag like the ones used for wash-and-fold, I was rudely told I would need to purchase a full-size laundry bag instead. I understand that a business is under no obligation to give me a bag. That isn't really the point. This laundromat's wash-and-fold operation also regularly occupies a significant portion of the folding area, and customers share that space and work around it. I don't mind doing that. But if a business is going to explicitly ask its customers for consideration, I think it's reasonable to expect a little consideration in return. It wasn't the bag that bothered me. It was the dismissive attitude and the inconsistency between asking customers for consideration while showing very little in return.

I was able to get a J Crew cardigan in great condition for just a dollar. The staff doesn't really interact with you much, but I don't see how they really can at a thrift store.

This is one of my go-to thrift stores in town. 2 long racks of clothes for $1, a round rack of kids…read morestuff for a buck (although not in great condition, from what I've seen for the kids stuff in the dollar rack) and a few other racks for adults and kids of stuff mostly $3-5, a bunch new with tags. Home decor items for $1-2, a large wall of shoes that I recently scored a brand new pair of boots from for $10. While their furniture can seem overpriced for a thrift store, it's mostly new items and cheaper than you will get retail even on sale. They also have a neat little craft section, Knicknacks throughout, and fitting rooms. Worth the visit every time I go. The woman who runs the store is a sweetheart and the staff, while hands off (which I personally prefer) can be helpful and have always been kind. The proceeds here benefit charity which is a bonus, too. Great place to shop and donate.

The Longview WA Housing Authority is run by a group of caring individuals!…read more Treat them with respect. They bend over backwards to help people! Once you find a place that allows your housing voucher, they help you pay rent. They work very closely with the property management, to satisfy any issues and rectify quickly. I'm so grateful to have found them. Lake Sacagawea is the best thing happening in Longview Washington!
