On this recent visit, we tried their mixed wine flight and we were not disappointed. I tried to swap out the Chardonnay (because normally I can't stand it) but they convinced me to give their uncorked version a shot and I am so glad I did. We ended up leaving with a couple bottles from our tasting menu because we enjoyed every sip. Always come hungry! You wouldn't anticipate it but CRW whips up some mean bites. The spinach artichoke dip and bacon-wrapped dates are a must. But the thing that'll surprise and delight are their wood-fired pizzas. Our group took down three -- excellent topping, delicious pairings, and wonderful flavors. Between the top-tier wine and the delicious shared plates, this place is worth visiting over and over again.

Thanks to a conversation with a gentleman at another vineyard, Stavalaura came highly recommended for their big reds, and they didn't disappoint ! They are fabulous. Stavalaura is just 30 minutes from Portland, with an environment that feels like hundreds of miles away, it's the perfect way to escape the city and spend a leisurely Saturday or Sunday afternoon. They serve small samples of cheese and meats with the wine. You can bring your own snacks, which I really appreciate, and have a picnic along with their wines. Looking forward to the warmer spring weather so I can spend an afternoon on the patio sipping away.
