This review is for Kevin Green & his team at American Liberty Mortgage, Inc. I just purchased a new construction home in Denver. My loan transaction was uneventful from the initial application to close of escrow. My decision to use Kevin was deliberate. I compared 4 other lenders including my personal bank for over 20 yrs., Provident Funding, Vectra Bank, and Premier Lending (the latter two, are in fact, "preferred lenders" for the construction company who built my house). Kevin earned and maintained my trust throughout the selection process. That's a big deal to me and not something many people can accomplish. He is professional, trustworthy, reliable, and courteous. All required documents were produced on time and we were ready to close with loan approval two full weeks prior to my closing date. Without exception, he replied PROMPTLY via text email or phone call to every question. He also took time to explain fees for the lender and title company. All I had to do was provide the documents necessary to apply for and complete my loan application. The fees and interest rates he quoted me were accurate. Its been 2 months since we refinanced, I waited to post a review because I was in so shock at how smooth it all went, I kinda couldn't believe it, and wondered if maybe in a month or two id get hit with some odd fee or something, but Nope! Its all good! Jennifer Hill was Awesome! It was not easy making it to their office with the kids just because they made themselves feel at home a bit too much, so Jennifer made trips to our home when she needed paper work signed. Nick has helped us refinance our home twice over the past few years. The service he provided has really been top notch. In spite of my poor attitude in thinking we wouldn't even qualify, he carefully explained why we still would. He instructed me on how to do my part to make it happen and what his part would entail. He made it happen! The first time he was able to roll all our debt into a new loan and help set up a short-term plan for a following refinance. The second time, he was able to reduce our interest rate after we were able to pay off debt and boost our credit score enough to qualify for a lower rate. He dealt with a very frustrated and cynical woman and he did so with kindness and compassion. Nick's hard work has allowed us to free up our money to be able to pay for a child's high medical bills because we weren't saddled with our previous debt, which everyone knows sucks your money like your very own personal black hole. I saw Galinda Brown Fleming at the Winter Haven Florida branch for a consultation on how much I could afford to borrow if I sold my house. I would have to use most the proceeds to consolidate debts to qualify and would mean less money down and paying PMI. She took into consideration that I REALLY didn't want to sell my house and ran the numbers on it. She advised the difference is overall payments between selling and buying a much smaller home and keeping my house and adding a second mortgage was less than $40 a month. I can't express how much I appreciate the honesty. I could have made one of the biggest mistakes in my life thinking that selling my beloved home was the answer to my problems. Chris Surprenant did a great job. I had a hard time finding a way to refinance my house because of my second from CHFA. Chris had great advice and a good answer for our situation.
