The owners, Gary and his wife, Anna, both have amazing heart for healthcare and are both active in the field. Gary is very accommodating and works with you to figure out what the best course would be for you whether you take the accelerated day course which is 2.5 weeks or the night course which is 4 weeks. At first I was hesitant and many unexpected life changes happened that I couldn't attend in his original August cohort when I got the courage to pursue this goal. So I ended up in his September cohort. And I truly believe God himself wanted me to join the September cohort because even though I was afraid to go back and give it a try after not being available in August when I had planned to join, I finally went through with it and showed up on the first day of class and had the honor and pleasure of meeting and working with the most amazing people from all walks of life. You not only gain classmates, you gain friendships for life, and potential coworkers as you all pursue different goals for taking the class. We even made ourselves a YouTube page for our class so we can reference all our training videos we recorded in class so we can reference them when studying for the prometric exam. Whether you're in pre-nursing, opening your own care home, working at a facility already, or simply learning how to best help provide care for a loved one, I promise you will not leave this class empty handed or doubting your own ability. You will learn what it takes to do your job well, the right way, and have a newfound appreciation for everyone you encounter in this line of work. We made lifelong friendships and learned the amount of heart and compassion it takes to do this line of work. While some people may view it as "just entry level" work, you matter just like everyone else in the healthcare industry. I personally will be eternally grateful to Gary and Anna's CNA school for giving me a chance when I was too afraid thinking it's too late to give myself that chance. Gary is a genuinely caring soul and wants to see everyone succeed. He even opens his doors to allow you to train for the prometric exam before your exam date so you can take your skills test with absolute confidence and pass on the first try. He takes care of his facility on his own as well so be respectful of his property and clean up after yourselves lol. He does all his own linen/towel washing too so be mindful when using his supplies. After a while you start noticing patterns and one of the patterns that we have noticed that compared to most CNA schools, Healthcare Training & Career Consultants (HT&CC) does a GREAT job of preparing CNAs for the workforce. And it's not just me, I have heard Directors of Nursing, HR Managers, and Administrators tell me that they get excited when they see that a CNA applying for a job graduated from HT&CC because they have noticed that HT&CC students tend to come to work far better prepared than most. We have notice that HT&CC graduates seem more comfortable assisting with the activities of daily living, but it's also the little things like already knowing the importance of knocking before entering a room - this is a dignity issue, the critical need to wash hands before and after caring for a patient, providing privacy and blanket coverage when giving a bed bath, even knowing the normal ranges of blood pressure, heart rates, and breathing - things that you would expect that a RN would know but not necessarily a CNA. HT&CC graduates come to work already knowing these things that may seem small to most, but are critical to providing quality care. So when I am asked for recommendation for a CNA school or if one of my daughters wanted to become a CNA, I would without hesitation encourage them to attend HT&CC. And if you want to work as a CNA, know that when we see that a CNA job applicant is a recent graduate from HT&CC they automatically move to the very top of our interview list. I researched on a couple of companies and I reached out to Med Life Services in July 2020. Mikio promptly responded and confirmed their products and services, then we scheduled for an office visit to view the products. Chad came to the office equipped with a variety of kits (and wearing a face mask, of course). He was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for what would be best for our office. We now have a fresh new kit where we are confident that the products are in working order. They will be servicing our kit bi-annually and we only pay for what is replenished, no additional fees for the visit.
