Florals will be one of the more pricey items on your vendor list, but I promise that if you hire Posy Parties, you will be SO happy with the results. I spoke with a few other florists before deciding to book with Manu; not only was she extremely timely in her responses, but her prices were very reasonable in comparison, and our consultations couldn't have been easier. I spoke with Manu over the phone several times, and emailed her pictures of what I had envisioned. I actually NEVER personally met her, as I was so busy the day of the wedding that I never got to meet her! Manu went above and beyond everything that I could have imagined with the flowers... People kept complimenting our beautiful bouquets and asking who we used. She turned our concrete jungle ceremony site into a beautiful fairytale. Mariah (now 7) had such an amazing time at concert and already told me she wants to be in every single number next year LOL. I wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for everyone at the studio doing what you do for all of the students. I will definitely volunteer in the dressing room again next year and I will have a better idea of the flow. The concert was amazing as always and well worth it in my family's opinion. We look forward to many more concerts in the future. I noticed this year it was a hard to see the "little ones" perform because they were often behind much taller students or far off to the side. That is the one thing I noticed that could be improved on for next year but not a big deal as hopefully we will have the girls taking more classes next year allowing them to be in more numbers. I have always been meaning to learn the hula dances for few of my favorite songs, but you can only…read morelearn so much via YouTube videos, so I decided that on my next trip to Hawaii I would find a way to get a "one on one" lesson, and I found a fantastic one!!! A quick Google search led me to Sarah and "Wanna Hula?", and it was an awesome experience from the moment I contacted her, all the way to the end of my lesson. She was very quick with responding to my inquiries and I was able to arrange a private class for my friend and me at Magic Island. Hula on the beach...can there be anything more awesomely Hawaii than that? The meeting location was clearly indicated so it was easy to find and Sarah was even early for our lesson. She was great about offering suggestions on where to hold the class (comfort, view, etc.) and had the lyrics to all three of the songs I had inquired about printed up for us too. For the next hour, my friend and I got a dance tailored to our dancing experience/ability (I have danced on and off since I was 5 yrs old and my friend had NEVER done hula in her life) and I can't believe that we were taught an entire song in only an hour! We got the video recording add-on and Sarah provided a tripod that works with cameras and phones so it was easy to record the dance. The video is going to be so handy to review when I get back home :) I can't recommend this enough, especially since this will be much better souvenir of your vacation than a tiki doll or a pineapple mug :-P

There were 2 parts to the Basic Pistol Safety Course. There was classroom time and range time. David and Joey was very thorough with the information that they taught during the classroom time. They did so good that it made everyone feel confident that they can pass the test at the end of the classroom time and everyone did pass! David and Joey was also very good instructors during the range time. We were able to shoot at different distances. During the shooting, we were able to pick and choose which pistol we want to shoot. I was very pleased that they had a Glock 19 because that is the pistol that I'm looking to get in the future and was glad that I was able to get a feel for it. I was able to shoot a variety of guns, which is very useful as I now get to go and buy one, and had all of my questions answered (Regarding ownership, laws, etc) in a way that was actually easy to understand, as opposed to the way the state presents it. I must say that I'm glad we did, and these guys are great! We just finished the basic handgun safety course, and it was excellent! They covered all the basics of loading and operating firearms, safety, and laws. The classroom time is very informative, and the range time is great. We got to practice with a bunch of different firearms ranging from .22 to .45, and a bunch in between. The NRA certified instructors are very friendly, helpful, and know their stuff, You can tell that they love and believe in what they're doing. HDF is also working to help maintain and improve ownership and usage rights in Hawaii, and as an organization they have range days where the whole group will gather and enjoy some private range time. With completion of the course you're not only given your affidavit certifying completion of the course, but you become an HDF member for the year. I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of this membership, and see what else HDF has to offer!
