Dinah R. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN! I placed an order as a gift. Not expensive, approximately $150. I had it shipped to the address of person receiving the gift. Not only did AMS cancel my initial order, but they made 2 unauthorized charges to MY bank card to pay off an old balance that the person I was sending it to owed from 2020. It was not cheap, one charge for $744.39 and one charge for $100.00. They simply ran the person's name that I was sending the gift to and took the $$ from my bank account. How was I to know this person owed an old balance from years ago? I went to my bank and the reported the unauthorized charges. While I was sitting there, the banker called AMS collections. The very rude man at AMS called me a liar by saying, "She knew it, it happens all of the time." He didn't have a kind word at all and was a complete ass the whole conversation. Not only have I reported it to the bank, the bankcard company, but also the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to help get my $$ back. They all have reached out to me assuring they intend to help. Meanwhile, I'm out possibly $899.34 and the trouble, financial stress and frustration in the matter. I'm sure this is not the only time it has happened. 1. Offered pickup and was told ups would bring a box. 2. Then told by UPS they don't pickup with boxes. Called AMS and was told they made a mistase so they would overnight the new cab and I could use the box to return the 1st. Seems like a good deal. They we're going to ship the same day but if course that never happened. 3. Called back the next day after no shipping info. Was told it will definitely ship that day and was treated like I was annoying the agent. Once again of course didn't. 4. Called back again and talked to a supervisor. Was generally helpful but passively accused me of trying to rip AMS off. "They will charge you if you don't ship the original back you know. Just gotta make sure". He did finally get the package shipped but no tracking info was given. 5. Contacted again the following day to try and get tracking. Turns out it was "delivered" without FedEx so much as knocking on the door. They simply dropped it in front of the house in an emoticono driveway and it was of course stolen. 6. After waiting for 2 weeks for the stolen package to be resolved, I was shipped a replacement. This one was damaged worse than the first. Absolutely the worst experience ever trying to buy a piece of gear. I have purchased from them before but the extreme negligence in this case has turned me off forever. So I bought what I thought was a brand new Denon DJ Prime 4 Plus for $2,200. Wrong! Because I use it in poorly lit conditions, I never noticed the paint coming off the black screws around the fader. The only way I noticed it was because the fader would start moving to the right side without me doing anything. I then turned the lights on to look it over, and there it was: screws that had been tampered with. You know, when someone uses a screwdriver on painted screws, the paint comes off and you can see silver. Well, thinking I was dealing with a great company, I explained this to the representative, and he then told me I had a few months left to get the warranty company to fix it. I'm like, "What do you mean!?" I'm calling to inform you and make a complaint that I wasn't sold new equipment; it was open and damaged. Still, I was told to call them because there was nothing they could do about it. I called the warranty company for weeks and never got in contact with anybody--nobody, somebody--no return calls. I have been trying, but I haven't found any solution for my issues. It's past the warranty date, and I'm stuck with bad equipment from American Music and no help! It's safe to say I will continue to spread the word on reviews, social media, Reels, YouTube, and X. I have proof, and I will detail in video and pictures that this equipment was already damaged. read more

This was clearly a false charge and all he did was insult me and very clearly state that he is against me and will not help me because he wants to get what he feels I owe. Great service and no interest payments on equipment is a God send. My only complaint is the Guitar had some flaws like the frets not being sanded all the way. The nut is off where the g string slot is not measured and sanded down properly. The volume tone pot is not properly secured. It's a decent guitar but it needs some more TLC. Terrible Company. Absolutely ZERO Customer Service. This order started off with a mistake on the shipping address. I noticed it right after the order was placed. I called to correct the address and was told Their system would not allow for any changes. Keep in mind the guitar sat waiting to be picked up by FEDEX all day and they refused to do anything. They then told me they will put in for a reroute once it ships. The guitar ships and I call FEDEX and they tell they never received any requests from the shipper. I place it on hold so it is not delivered to an address I don't live at in another state. I contact AMS. I am then told that the shipping manager dropped the ball and never put in the reroute request and they cant do anything now cause i placed a hold on it! So the guitar sits at the FEDEX facility for 5 days waiting to be returned to shipper. Once its in route back to AMS they send me another guitar to my correct address. I receive the new guitar and its cracked at the neck. I contact AMS and just go the route of returning for a refund as its been nothing but a headache at this point. I get a shipping label and send the guitar back. I wait for the tracking to show it has been received and call AMS. I am informed that they indeed to have the guitar and a refund has been initiated and no more payments will be drafted from my account. A week goes by and no refund and another charge is placed on my account. At this point i contact AMS again. I am given a anew story how they never received the first guitar back and that the tracking label shows it as still on the fed ex truck to be delivered (this is 3 weeks ago at this point). This will have to be investigated now before a refund can happen. During this whole exchange i have been treated like i am a idiot and its all my fault. Not once has anyone acted like customer service mattered. Nobody has cared one bit about helping or doing anything. The whole time I have been treated like a nuisance and that i should be lucky that they are even talking to me. 1 star is way more than they deserve. This store is fine unless someone uses your card fraudulently. I have been round and round about this with them for over a year saying that my card was stolen and now I've got a new card and they've charged over $300 to it on products that I've never even bought. I've talked to Jason and emailed him in the finance department many times regarding this. And he denies that it's fraud even though I have proof that it is. I have no associated accounts and the credit department refused to provide proof to me after several attempts to resolve the matter. I want to say that my review is mediocre-ish and here's why: a) they never have any avail. chat representatives at pm hours- and I'm not even talking like real late, I just meant not even a time frame like 9 pm or something. Like, sometimes this is even some peoples down time to be able to shop for things like this because of their work, etc... b) Anytime I have left a message I'm really not sure any one has ever wrote me back via email or called me on my phone come to think of it... c) they pride themselves on being one of the very select few places that have a "no credit check" policy; however, when looking thru sections like controllers for djs and such for instance, their price ranges for things are ridiculous, and i understand this is competition w every where else, but shit, come on! There's a reason why we're looking at no credit check options. D) last but not least, for a short bit of time there, their website just kind of sucked looking at anything from mobile. Idk if they were troubleshooting during that time or what, but you couldn't even get it to scroll or anything unless you went on a computer. Idk how it was for android, but for iPhone it was like that at least. Also, im not sure if you guys love false advertising, or you're just completely oblivious to this, but you'll go to see a product, and itll be marked a certain nice price, and even have a pre calculated marked price on your monthly payments, for instance like such as w the no credit option part, then you actually go to click on it and add it to your cart, and it's not until you see the complete sum of the total at the bottom, that you'll get a much more accurate price.
