Rude. Called to make an appt. She seemed rushed and was very abrupt. Didn't ask if it was a new or a renewal passport. Sent a text to ask a question and her response was "I'm with a client and I already talked to you." Had she asked the appropriate questions to begin with, she could have save both of us time. And just as a sidebar, for 385$, she should give her clients or prospective clients the time they need (and when she said she was with a client, I said "take your time and get back to me when you can" and she was still nasty). I also found it a bit unsettling that any authorized place only accepts checks or money orders made out the the State Dept., yet she only accepts cash, credit card, Zelle etc. Considering that the application has ALL our pertinent info (SS #, birthdate, etc.), I felt very uneasy about her having that information. Going to the post office and hoping for the best. UPDATE: This service is only good if you need a renewal. If you need a new passport, I was told by an authorized agent that you will still have to go somewhere where there is an authorized agent for you to sign in front of. What can I say about American Passport Visa Services... The best! I was in a bind, my passport was expired, and I needed to fast-track it to have it renewed. I started looking for ways to do this online, and even called a couple of places, and I didn't feel any confidence with the companies I found. About 27 hours before flying out of the country, I realized my daughter's passport had expired!! I was extremely anxious to say the least. Terrible experience. I saw the reviews good and bad but should have given more credit to the bad ones. They are spot on. Alida is rude and unprofessional. Needed expedited passports and in the end, I have no idea what I paid for. NO IDEA because I just ended up doing everything myself. Ironically she did schedule an appointment with the passport agency, but told me that was just a "favor" she did. When I asked her to explain what services she actually provided and I paid for, she just replied with "I did my job". Hate to leave a bad review for a small business, but must agree with the previous posts about lack of customer service. We had a terrible experience with this person "Lita" and found her to be very impatient, abrupt and extremely dismissive. For someone who is unversed with the passport application like myself, I asked a lot of questions and was met with an attitude at every turn which was deeply frustrating. Her "office" is also out of a UPS storefront, which was jarring all together as we were standing in a doorway exchanging personal information. My passport had expired and I needed to get it renewed quickly (within 10 days). One of my friends recommended Alida (American Passport Services) She was wonderful! It is a little pricey to expedite a passport renewal, but she took care of every thing. All I had to do is get a passport photo and print the paperwork. She set the appointment at the federal building (they were also very easy to deal with). I showed up to my appointment with all the paperwork and had my passport a few hours later. I used Alida a year ago to get a passport and China visa at the time I was a little shy and naive and I believe she knew that and took advantage of it. She told me a price, then when it came time to pay she overcharged me by $100 I didn't think much of it at the time and just thought maybe I misheard her or something. So a year later, very recently I decided to use her again but this time my whole family needed to get China Visas so they could attend my wedding in China. I call her up, she tells me what's needed, halfway goes over the pricing but keeps repeating its on the website. So I get everything together for my family, she goes over all the questions with me over the phone to make sure everything is filled out right. I quadruple checked them all and even pulled up my application from last year to make sure everything was the same. I get the visa's back in a week or so (which was pretty quick) but then I realize there is a charge for $2800. That was to do only 5 people's visa's. It should of only been $2400 at the VERY most and that's without the 10% discount that she said she'd give me. So I talk to her and explain everything and we go over pricing and she says (exact words from her text to me) "you're right I did say I was going to give you a 10% discount, ok so I will fedex it tomorrow and also send you a check for the adjusted discount." I go to China for a couple weeks come home and still no check. I reach out again and she says "sorry I have been very busy but I will soon" another couple days go by and then she sends me a text recalculating all the fees and also throws in there that she had to redo all 5 visa so that's another $40 per person. And adds a $50 fedex charge. Even tho fedex said it would only cost $36. And then she says the total refund is only $57. I try to hash it out with her to at least get my $200 back for her supposedly "redoing" the applications. She refuses. Two more weeks have gone by and I still haven't received any sort of refund what so ever. If she really had to redo the applications she should of mentioned that weeks ago instead of just randomly charging me without even first telling me. If they really needed redone I would of just redid them myself. And why wouldn't she of mentioned that when I first said I was overcharged? Instead she just said okay I'll send you a check for the refund. Sorry this is so long I just really hope people take the time to read it before using her services. She legally has a few more days left to issue my refund before I can take legal actions. At this point it's not even about the money it just about how someone can own a business and tell you one price and then say oh btw I had to charge an extra blah blah blah for This and this. I just sincerely don't want this to happen to anyone else. I hate saying all this about someone's business but this has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a business and I truly hope people STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY from her and her company. Oh which is by the way ran out of a UPS store. If you want fast service and don't mind being scammed out of a few thousand dollars then she is the right fit for you. I have been in communication with Alida at American Passport Visa Services in Sherman Oaks, for the last two days. I told her that I needed her services and she told me she could help me out. Today I sent her a text to inquire about a fee we had discussed regarding my Visa. She had said two days ago that if she herself, would fill out my Visa application, it would be an additional $60. Which led me to believe that if I did that part of the process myself, I could save that $60. This is an option that Travisa Visa Services does offer. So I reached out to her for some clarification. I was confused when she was irritated at my question. She had a very rude tone, and I no longer felt I could give her my business. She was arrogant and dismissive. By this time I had texted her a copy of my driver's license. I sent her a message to please delete my documents with my personal and confidential information. Arranged an appointment - met - filled out paperwork and before end of day then called to say she was at her maximum allowable AFTER charging my cars. Was unable to do process yet she knew this before setting appointment. and did not let us know for the two days prior then told us she would immediately credit the CC. Went back to the UPD store she " operates " from for her to credit the CC and she was GONE. Ruined a booked trip to out of the country. BEWARE. I have contacted her over several months and she simply told me to "contact the DA's office". The DA's office had no clue why she was sending me to them.
