The manager was extremely unprofessional, and the driver of DT-5 was dishonest about the incident. Today, while traveling on I-495, the truck lost a significant amount of rock material onto the roadway. I was driving in the far-right lane behind the truck when rocks began falling from the bottom of the vehicle. Neither the driver nor the manager has accepted responsibility for what occurred. This situation is extremely concerning, as it could have resulted in a serious accident or injury. I am grateful that no one was hurt, but the incident appears to have been caused by a failure to properly secure or inspect the truck's load before operating on a major highway. I have reported the incident to the police and will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and DOT. Companies that transport materials on public roads have a responsibility to do so safely, and I believe this matter should be taken seriously. read more

The repaved my driveway on 10/25 - 10/27/24, in Exton, PA. They only dug up a small part of my driveway & then repaved over my old driveway leaving many low spots. They came back 2 days to just add patch spot that were low. Also the added a drain, which on estimates told me I wouldn't need. Then to get the driveway to drain properly, they made a gully in the middle of the driveway down to the low spots. I told them I wasn't satisfied. Morris senior said he would make it right & they'd come back to fix. I've called multiple times since then, but no one returns my calls. Hopefully it was just because they were closed down for winter, but now I will be calling again now that it is spring. I don't recommend the work or the customer service. Let's hope they make it right. read more

Stay away from this company! My driveway needed to be fixed after having a sewer line dug out. I hired Richard and Morris Stanley from American Paving. They came and repaired the end of the driveway that had been dug out and repaved it. Within couple of months the area where the sewer was dug out sunk. I contacted Richard who said he would come and fix it. After calls and emails they finally came and said they would fix it but needed more money. I paid them, they put a patch on the area but that did not work. The area continued to sink. I contacted them again to say the job was not satisfactory. My daughter also contacted them via phone and email. They "promised" it would be rectified. To date, a year +, later there is still a pot hole in my driveway. Do not use this company. They do shoddy work and do not stand by their promises. read more

Unfinished job! Extremely poor customer service. Buyer beware. Quoted $4,000 to have my back driveway and shed area paved. I had a car in the shed area which wouldn't start so Morris stated he would work around it and come back and finish once the car was moved. We then referred a neighbor whom Morris gave a quote of $1,000 for her area. We confirmed that we were paid and full and that Morris would return once the car had been moved. A week later, the car was towed, we reached out to Morris to schedule a return date, to finish the job as agreed. He now asked 'how do you want to pay, the area is small, so it's $600.00 only. Umm excuse me? We advised no additional monies are owed, we agreed the job was $4,000. Morris agreed and said he 'would do right by us' and finish the job. Up until this point, Morris had been communicating with my mom, as I was out of town when the work was started, therefore my mom offered to come by and oversee the work. I then call Morris after a week of my mom calling him daily and being told he's "on the way", only to not show. I spoke with Morris he now states he will 'get there, when he can squeeze us in.' He states that he is loosing money and that the small area is an additional $800.00. So it went from paid in full, to $600.00, to now $800.00. I remind Morris that he stated we were paid in full, now the amount keeps changing. Morris now states that since he gave our neighbor a discounted rate, we are responsible for the delta- which is $800.00. I again advise this is very unethical to have us pay an amount you quoted, then demand various amounts thereafter. I then asked, if the job was a higher amount, why would you accept the monies that were paid on the day of service? And why would be responsible for any outstanding balances owed by a referral? After going back and forth, Morris agrees to again "do right by us" and finish the job. To date 2 months later, he still has not finished. In conclusion please do not do business with Morris Stanley or his company American Paving, unless you have a written contract. As other reviewers(via Facebook) have stated, he has no business integrity and will not complete any work that requires him to comeback to a job. Very unfortunate, no integrity, or morals. read more

I hired American Paving to drop some new asphalt in my driveway. I think any company can do this, it just depends on price and customer service that sets them apart. Morris came over to give me a quote--$2900 for the whole job, he said. Then when they came over, the price went up with the little add-ons. The job went from $2900 to $3500. i didn't even care that much about the cost. What I did care about is the 'extra' customer service where Morris said he would take away the old asphalt they pulled up. At the end of the job, his workers started to jump in their trucks to leave. I reminded them to pick up the asphalt. Morris said "I will be back to pick it up. I promise!" You promise? I confirmed. "yes I promise and my word is my bond"! that's what he said. This even was recorded on my security system. But he never came back to pick it up. He certainly cashed the check quick enough. But never picked up the old asphalt even though he said his word was his bond. So now you know people, that his words means nothing. And he refuses to give quotes or invoices because that way he can avoid declaring the income. but since he cashed my check, i will 1099 the amount and send it into the IRS so that they know he earned income from me. IRS provides a person can file a 1099 for any person or company they paid $600 or more for services. So, yea...this is a thing and it very well may cost him more to pay the taxes than carting away the old asphalt that he said he would do, "because my word is my bond" read more

We had a very unfortunate experience with this company. Horribly sloppy work, lies, and then caught them dumping trashed concrete in the lovely woods behind our house. We will never use them again. read more
