Don't be fooled by any glowing reviews! J & J splashed concrete and asphalt on our vinyl siding. They also cut into my new driveway and broken the corners off existing sidewalk while replacing one square. A child could've cut a straighter line. When I pointed out the vinyl siding damage John said he would come back to clean the siding even after I texted him a few times he never returned. A week after the butcher job on the sidewalk I asked one of his men to have John contact me but that didn't happen either. I'm very disappointed in John. Don't be fooled...once you pay him he moves on!! read more

I appreciate ownership's attempts to rectify the situation. They reported never receiving notice about the many attempts with their front office staff to arrange for clean up. Once they saw my review, I was contacted and they sent out a crew with a power washer to try to remove the marks, which was partially successful, but a little too late to get it all cleaned up. read more

Do not use J&J wildly unprofessional and not reliable. Today the lead on the project arrived to our house and before knocking on my door to let me know he was starting he went to my neighbors house and had a beer with him on his porch. The workers doing the job could care less about our property. I asked them not to use one gate because it was recently repaired and they proceeded to use it as soon as I walked away. They used my hose and didn't put it back. DONT USE!!!! You can get more reliable and professional workers elsewhere. read more

J and J paving failed to put an adquate border between my lawn and the driveway and now grass is starting to damage the driveway. Also, they failed to properly grade the driveway and there is a puddle next to the passenger side of my car every time we have any substantial rainfall. They have failed to come out to address these issues after several requests for them to do so. They have even failed to come out to look at the issues while stating that they would come out on several different occassions. read more

We called J&J for an estimate to do some repair work on our patio. Took several calls to get a hold of someone. After making 2 appointments that no one ever showed up or took the time to call and cancel we only received an email. The email stated instead of the repairs that I asked for which I expected to be about $500. They wanted to knock out the old patio and pour a new one in excess of $5,000. This company needs to listen better and offer the customer what they want. Very disappointing for a local company. read more

I needed my driveway resurfaced due to settling. I contacted J & J for an estimate. John showed up when they said he would, gave me a written estimate to which I agreed. John told me of the probable start date. Day before I got a call to confirm. The next morning several trucks and equipment arrived. It was like D Day. These guy attacked my driveway and finished in less than 4 hours. The guys were great, they never stopped and they did a great job. J&J came out to my house to give a quote to have my driveway repaved / extended. Their quote was the second lowest and they were courteous and professional during the quote process. The snag didn't come until I called them back to accept their proposal. One week and no call back. A second follow up call to say, "I'd like to accept your proposal, what do I need to do to get the ball rolling?" Still no response. The guy we decided to go with explained that perhaps they misquoted or were no longer interested in my project. Regardless, I took the time to get the quote and they took the time to provide it. I at least expect a follow up call! I wouldn't even bother having them provide a quote for your project. They won't be the lowest, and it doesn't seem like they follow through on their bids. read more

We contacted John to have a few slabs of concrete replaced on our sidewalk and some additional miscellaneous concrete work. He stopped by (on a Sunday) within hours and provided a written quote shortly after. Once approved, he started work almost immediately. He is hard-working, communicative, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with the work he did and we will be using him again for sure. read more

A bad news contractor. Original work replacing driveway was satisfactory. John said to be sure I contacted him the following season to apply a final finishing coat. I have called the "non answering system" repeatedly. Messages are not answered. The no service is good reason to avoid this contractor despite the fact the the contractor was highly recommended. read more

J&J did a job for me and most of the concrete cracked, I made 10 calls with no reply, and on the last one told them I would call my Lawyer...I got a call back and was told the warrenty is 3 months read the bottom of your contrack. I would think 90 days is way to short of a time for $5000.00. They never did get back to me with any help, if you would like to see the job give me a call Bernie in Broomall 610-772-4655 PS I resently found out my neighbor had a concrete job from them and his also cracked. We hired them do a side walk and driveway for us. The sidewalk and driveway both cracked within a year. We have left multiple messages for them to call us to no avail. We took out a loan to have the driveway put in. We will now be paying for a driveway that's cracked like the old one. They won't return calls and don't stand behind their work. We had suggested them to a neighbor prior to the cracks and his concrete cracked too. He is also not getting any responses to his calls. How to we get them to respond? We need the driveway fixed before we go into winter. I would not recommend them at all. read more
