The business holds court in a prime location in the downtown carrousel district , next to bookstores , craft beer & liquor establishments , restaurants , antique shops , an art gallery and of course the great old fashioned 56 horse carousel . City News offers freshly perked regular and flavored coffees and specialty drinks in addition to being the local tobacconist purveying cigarettes , cigars , pipes , tobaccos , novelties and the like . I have been searching for The Perfect sleep chair for two years. A friend took me to Rettig's yesterday. The recliner they had on the display floor was beyond my expectations! It has more features and benefits than Any other chairs I have seen. The service, selection and value were great. Dalton, the salesman did an excellent job of demonstrating and answering my questions. Kudos, Dalton! Mr. Tony Rettig, owner, came out of his office to shake hands. Here's what he gave me. 1. I was staying at the Westin Cleveland Downtown Hotel - the hotel does not have a convenience store inside. Asking around, I found that there was a convenience store across the street inside the Galleria building - or whatever it is called. They carry a wide variety of candy, snacks, beverages, as well as some other items. I picked up some cold bottled water, V-8 juice, and some snacks. A short walk from the hotel! #ErieviewNewsstand

Looked at a plaque across the street, and went back to the car. Passing this, looked at displays in the windows, not even noticing at first that it was open. Once we realized it was, we went right in, of course. It's mostly magazines, with a pretty good variety. We ended up getting a few. There are some books, including local ones. Also some collectibles in back. The owner was friendly but quiet. I'd be happy to have this store near my college, or frankly, in Columbus. Not fancy at all, but plenty of interesting stuff to read.

The employee/owner, is kind of esentric, yet helpful. I do enjoy the men's fitness editors editions I pick one up every time I'm in town. I love buying used books. I love everything about books. I actually came here while running errands with someone else. I don't think I would have ever known this was here otherwise. I wandered around the store while the person I was with was taking care of whatever it is we came in there for. It was such an immersive experience. I appreciate how the store is laid out. There is/was so much thought put into not just the layout of where sections should be, but where each book goes. It is so well curated. I got so many incredible recommendations from the employee picks that I have loved, shared with others, and they have loved too. It's been a month or so since my last visit, so I'm excited to see what the latest recommendations are. If you're a book nerd, this is absolutely worth a visit. I will absolutely be back.
