Edited: American Sales ignored my multiple messages for a week until I posted this review. Funny now I get a response. I have been going to American Sales for years. I recently bought a pool from them. The install was terrible. I tried to contact Jessica the manager and she ignored me. Jessica and Maia were incredibly responsive before the purchase but now that I'm complaining about their contractors I don't hear a peep. I would rather go and pay extra for what I need elsewhere. February 2025-April 2025: four service calls later, with technicians coming out and doing work - finding the leak, but then wanting to charge me overtime to fix it. 2nd service call refused to do the work, 3rd same, fourth fixed a leak but clearly not all of them as the hot tub still leaks. Won't give you an arrival time, I spent 4 days waiting for an American Sales technician to not fixed a hot tub they came out to do. What kind of business model/scam is that? Thank god I work from home but how is anyone with office hours outside of their house supposed to get this fixed? It's 3 years old, warranty expires in two years. It's a Hot Springs Aria. Rude, rude, plain rude. Every time I buy something there which is not too often I leave with a bad taste and the people that work there all suck. They act like they're doing you some big favor when you're paying good money for the products and God forbid you have a problem they just blow you off. Called the Bridgeview location this morning looking for a very specific sized solar cover. Spoke to a young man who was very professional and kind. His customer service was above and beyond. When I got to the store later on, he had the item ready and also helped me locate everything else I needed. He assisted me to my car and I asked his name. It was Melvin. Outstanding service by who I end up learning was the manager of the store, Cassie. On point. Totally obsessed with serving us above and beyond. We wanted some Xmas decor that they had run out of. She offered to call other stores to find it and then have it delivered there. Wow. Then we asked for advice with some Xmas tree questions. All honest and great recommendations. It's funny. We spent $180 dollars there, on things that we really didn't need. And we did happily because she kept suggesting wonderful ideas. If you go there ask for her. Cassie. This is a company that will treat you well when they are selling to you, and treat you with total disdain afterward. Avoid them at all costs. Our salesperson Jeff Thome was very helpful and flexible in working with us on our recent hot tub purchase. The store had a great selection. Unfortunately, that was the end of the good experience. The service team repeatedly messed up the installation of the tub and ignored our email, text, and phone requests for help for six weeks. First, they didn't ship the tub with all of the parts. Then their negligence led to the tub freezing during a storm, which broke multiple parts inside of the tub and led to leaking. Then, they decided they were no longer willing to help us repair the mistakes they caused. I was forced to bring in an outside vendor and spend $2,800 to repair all the damage that American Sale had caused. (That outside vendor confirmed all this damage was totally preventable had American Sale done their job.) It took four months from the installation until I was finally able to use the tub. When I contacted American Sale and asked them to reimburse me for the damage they caused, they responded "we feel that we have handled all your requests and communicated very effectively." Well they had no problem taking our money but the installer did not put a part on the pool so we could hook up the filter so we couldn't fill it. Many phone calls and texts 5 days later we still do not have the part . No apology- just you have people ahead of you drive 45 minutes come pick it up . I spent over 4K gee maybe fed ex it ? Oh and don't bother to fill in the bird eye survey they send they don't post the bad ones ! Thanks for garbage service Jessica ! I have mixed feeling about this place. I received great customer service when buying my pool. I received help when my pool installation was not as hoped. My issue is that they are aware that Midwest pool are not returning customers calls and are doing bad installs and are still selling pool and buyers are mot aware how many customers have cancelled their orders. My husband had an issue with our skimmer leaking 3 days after install. We went there because this is where we made our purchase and because the installers would not call us back. When the salesman informed my he understood why he was upset, and apparently wasn't the only one, told my husband they were aware of issue, " but what are we supposed to do? Planning on purchasing our first above ground pool. Like any smart consumer , we are going around and price comparing and doing our research . Our first stop was the Great Escape. Sales person , Ray was so nice and gave us great information. Prices were also marked right on each pool. They also had installation prices listed for each size pool. Didn't feel pressure or mislead. Our next stop was American Sales and was the complete opposite experience. Had to get prices on each and every pool we were interested in. I asked why the prices aren't up front and there was nothing physical I could have showing prices. She blatantly told me because there was once a Great Escape across the street and people would come in and price compare... Ummmm okay ... Well I like the upfront pricing. DO NOT GO THERE! The worst customer service in the history of mankind. These people only care about one thing only-taking your money. We purchased a pool from them in March, they had their third party installer install it. American Sale washes their hands after they deliver the pool. The pool was not level. We went to the Bridgeview store and the apathetic store manager said "you gotta call customer service". We called several times no one got back to us. Finally after talking to the salesperson, who probably is too good to work there and should find a better company to work for, we received a call from customer service. This was one month later. They said that we had to take it up with the installer. We told them that we wanted American Sale to take it up with the installer because he was a rude to my wife and had little care of our property. Six weeks after the installation, the installer calls and leaves a message. We returned the call, only to be told by an employee there that a note about our case was left by the owner that he wasn't going to come out to our house. We were left with no choice but to have the charge on the our credit card reversed. Citi granted a conditional reversal, pending their investigation. One month later, American Sale did not contest the dispute, and Citi stated that the conditional reversal was permanent. One week later, we received notice from a collection agency. In the mean time, we hired our own installer to correct the poorly installed pool. After explaining all of this to the collection agency we received an email from the field manager that they want to correct the problem. This was August now. We told him we fixed the problem ourselves. They had the original installer call at 6am wanting to come out to look at it now. We told him we fixed it ourselves and not to set foot on our property. For fear of having our credit rating affected, we paid the pool in full after paying additionally to correct their poor work. Bottom line, go somewhere else. Go to Great Escape, Leslie's Pools, Russo's Pools, or shop online. read more

We bought a pool from Jeff at American Sale. He was awesome, everything was done fast and he advised us of the best options. Such a kind guy and very understanding when we weren't able to make it out the first day we scheduled. He instructed us on how to do the credit application online and as we went back and forth on which pool to get, he was extremely patient. As a kid, I always loved going to this store because it was the coolest place ever to be at and look at neat stuff for your pool and outdoor stuff. Haven't been here in well over 10 years since a storm ruined our pool and this place still is really cool to visit, helpful associates, tons of great products and tons of things you'd never think you need to beautify your home or getting outdoor decor. My family bought an Intex pool 24x12x52 with sand filter system on 6/22/2022. When we bought this pool we were told it came with a 2 yr warranty as well as the filter. This information was also inside the box in the manuals. Last week my filter started to make a really bad noise. We called American Sales and were told to call Intex. We called Intex 3 times and argued multiple times because according to Intex American sale is not an authorized seller of theirs, therefore we have to go through American Sale. We called the store just to keep being told to call Intex even though we were telling them what Intex said. Finally someone named Maggie gave us American sale cooperate number. We called cooperate and they said they would have to have someone call us back within 48hrs to help resolve the issue. This was last week and we still have not heard back. DO NOT BUY INTEX BRAND FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. One of these companies is lying and no one seems to know anything unless it has to do with taking more of your money. read more

There is stuff for the inside of your house as well! The service is great! The staff are friendly, and they ask great answers if the customers have questions. I found a place long ago in Indiana,near Bremen Indiana,which I liked a lot.It was in a place they call rent town ,at Yoder's grocery store and outside benches to swing on.We really enjoyed the food and everything we bought there.It was not to far from Nap a née Indiana on US route #6.This area has a lot of Amish Farmers and the region and vicinity is very clean.And Yoder's grocery store has some of the best Amish cooks in the State of Indiana.We do like some of their food which is very delicious.If you go their you will be very satisfied with everything .Respectfully Bernard J Michalski. I will never use American sale for anything ever again. I was sold a pool by Casandra from the Bridgeview store. She was on top of every question I had and even called me on her day off.. and was very enthusiastic about making the sale. She told me via text (so I have proof of all of this) that my pool Would be installed last week of May first week of June the latest! As soon as the ink was dry on the contract it was like we were invisible. I had a few questions about my heater that came damaged and my delivery date. She refused to answer any of my texts. I also could not reach anyone at the store by phone. I emailed multiple times and did not receive any response until weeks later. Worst customer service I have ever received. I had more questions later regarding my installation, again no response. No answer to my texts, emails or phone calls. My pool was delivered almost immediately so May 14th.. it sat in my yard for almost two months! Pool just got installed today July 2nd. Pool installation was acceptable, but they are not from American Sale, they are their own company. All boxes decaying from sitting out in the rain and sun. Only response when I did finally talk to someone responding to my email is that they are very busy. Really? A busy pool season? Shocking! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I recommend that people go elsewhere to buy a pool. It was very obvious that they made the sale and I was no longer their concern. read more

I ordered a pool back in May it was delivered in the time frame they gave us been waiting on installation for over a month have called and left several messages I have emailed several times with no response I have NEVER been treated this poorly. Customer service is a joke they tell you the same thing over and over. I understand with COVID-19 installations are backed up but can only use that excuse so many times.
