STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!
A few months ago, I sought therapy from American Treatment Network in Havertown, Pa. for my PTSD. After a few sessions with a therapist and two different doctors, I asked my therapist for paperwork pertaining to my treatment, which I was planning to give to my disability lawyer. This is where all of my problems with this facility started.
To make a long story short, after asking my therapist for documentation pertaining to my disability and my ongoing treatment for it, I instead received my psychological evaluation papers and their updates. I was told by the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, with whom I registered a state complaint against ATN, that this is illegal and that I should not have been given those documents. I was completely shocked to read that those evaluations and other doctor/therapist transcripts stated that I was abusing and was addicted to three separate drugs, which was and is an outright lie. Two of those PRESCRIPTION drugs that they accused me of being addicted to, I have medical prescriptions for. I told both the therapists and two doctors about them beforehand. As for the third substance, which is a highly illegal street drug, the site manager herself told me that she herself included that drug abuse 'diagnosis' to "help me get into the program". My therapist at that time had shown me the documents stating that I was a full blown drug addict during a ZOOM therapy session I had with her. Again, I was told by the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization that my therapist was not authorized to show me that documentation. Luckily for me, she made that mistake of showing me that paperwork. That's the exact moment when I realized that I was dealing with a corrupt and inept mental health/substance abuse organization. Unfortunately for me, the paperwork pertaining to my alleged abuse of a highly illegal street drug 'mysteriously' disappeared. I believe that the site manager took matters into her own hands and deleted any and all traces of her absolute fabrication of me having an addiction to that drug. That's a complete disgrace and is a good example as to why I'm placing multiple complaints against this organization.
That same site manager was not happy that I placed a complaint against them through the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization. She said, very rudely, that she would "love to talk to your (my) lawyer" about my psychological evaluation papers and the fact that he questioned them. Her quote just shows her arrogance and stupidity. The lawyer I was referring to is a disability lawyer. She mistakenly thought that I was legally threatening her. That's how out of touch she was with the situation and hints that she may also be paranoid. That's a complete disgrace, any way you look at it.
I am going to hire a disability advocate and continue on with my complaints against this corrupt facility. I'm sure that I'm not the first patient to be abused by them and I'm sure I won't be the last. The advocate from the Community Care Behavioral Health Organization that investigated the complaint told me that I am not the first patient to complain about this facility and that there are currently numerous other open complaints leveled against them that need to be investigated.
Due to American Treatment Network's dishonesty, lack of professionalism and complete arrogance, I now have no therapist and I had to stop taking the two medications that their doctors prescribed me. I'm in much worse shape now than when I first walked into that disgrace of an establishment. Again, that's a disgrace.
Please heed my warning: If you or a loved one is suffering from either mental health issues or drug addiction, learn from my huge mistake and stay far away from American Treatment Network in Havertown, Pa.
