I've been working with merchandise since 1967. I thought I had worked with some wonkers, these people take the cake. They are dishonest, disrespectful, insulting, and manipulative. The shirts I received were over 50% unusable, unsaleable. I ended up giving thousands of them away to homeless people & a domestic abuse shelter, the shirts were good for layers and rags, but not to show, not to sell, not to wear. I am not a fan of poor customer service. Here we have poor customer service....that is my one thing I cant stand. I read the only other review and was shocked at what they wrote...my experience was totally opposite. Here I am taking the time to go to the store (if you can call it that) to see their trophies. I am looking for trophies for my Cub Scouts pack's Pinewood Derby. Lets just say that when I got there, I wasn't sure if I was in the right place...place was, well, ummm, how do you say, what is that word...oh yeah, a dump. I can get past that, not looking for a super wall to wall carpet place, but seriously?? That being said, there was a woman and a man in there...we assume woman was secretary, man was owner. Not being sexiest, she said she was the secretary. Well I kept being interrupted by the man.....rude. I'm the customer, trying to spend $$ at your place. This got the woman frazzled and she wouldn't help me... I kept asking questions, and didn't really get the answers. So I left wondering why they wouldn't help me more....was there some trophy crisis in the world?? Never even saw the trophy top, had to imagine it. Nope. Instead I spent my $$ on-line at some company in California.....sad, very sad. I try to support local business, but when they don't support you, I go somewhere else. read more

I contacted American Trophy last week to get a quote on having T-Shirts printed for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society walk, Light the Night, occurring in September. I sent an e-mail with full details as well as the graphics needed and explained that I am a local resident whose workplace is sponsoring a walk team. I waited 5 days for a response. Upon receiving none, I placed a phone call. The woman who answered said she answers all emails immediately and must not have received it- she rushed me off the phone, saying if I forwarded the email again she would call me back in ten minutes. Well, I forwarded the email. And it's been 3 days. I've since contacted another local printing company and received a response as soon as the business opened the following day. What a difference. If you expect prompt service, I recommend calling anyone BUT American Trophy. As an addition to this, the owner of American Trophy just called me AT WORK, to try and win my business. When I explained I never received the promised call back, and went elsewhere, he told me "F--- you, go f--- yourself" and hung up on me. Very classy. read more

Don't waste your time or money. The place is run by two incompetent clowns who could care less how the customer feels. My company placed an order for 100 T-Shirts... They held our deposit for almost 2 months, didn't respond to our emails regarding the order and were extremely rude when they finally completed the order... This place is a joke. Do not waste your time or money these people do not know what they are doing and when they make a mistake they do not care or do anything to fix it. They promised us a deadline and then when I came in to pick it up they simply "forgot about it" and I was out of luck. They even charged me extra for it but didn't get it done in time for our event. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. Read the reviews before even bothering to work with them. It will be a disappointment. PS they are actually more expensive then any other screen printer in the area. read more

I should have checked reviews before I contacted this place. I had almost the exact same experience as the other folks who posted their disappointment. I just wanted one trophy and had some questions that were pretty basic. The person on the phone identifies himself as the owner and quickly loses patience with me after a couple of minutes of me asking about pricing. He then asks me for my credit card information, having decided on absolutely nothing and then when I express some hesitation to giving him my credit card, states " I literally have thousands of orders coming through every day and I can't waste my time talking to someone for 15 mintues for a $30 trophy which is really like 5 cents to me. I know this sounds bad, but I think you need to call somewhere else. We've been around for 65 years and have so many happy customers that come back to us all the time." And then he hangs up on me of all things! So, maybe I was worth pennies to him, but his terrible attitude and overall approach to business is just so disguisting that if this review does anything, convinces anyone to not do their little or big business there, I will feel like justics was done. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This place is absolutely terrible. We purchased a few large orders totaling well over $1500. Dealing with them through email or phone was one thing, but actually going to the atrocious building was another. The owner seemed like he was agitated and on drugs the entire time- Talk about rude and non cooperative. They messed up our order and ordered the wrong items, and then when the correct items came in and items were scheduled to be completed we got a call stating that some of the items were misplaced. I asked how that was possible and the girl could not tell me. Another person then called me back and said no they were not misplaced that the screen printer had an error and ruined them, ok fine mistakes happen but then proceeded to say that we would need to pay the burn fee AGAIN to have them reordered and remade- for a MACHINE ERROR on their end. I told the guy no and he proceeded to talk over me in a very sarcastic and rude tone, telling me that just because i am a customer does not mean I am god. I asked him numerous times to just tell me when we could expect these items to be done and he kept going with the sarcasm. I told him that it was extremely unprofessional and not how a business owner should present himself to customers. The entire time this was going on I had a customer in front of me that unfortunately heard the whole thing. In the end he hung up on me and when I emailed to say that we will be picking up the items that WERE completed and going elsewhere for the other items they emailed back saying good because I wasn't allowed there anymore because I couldn't "control" myself. Not once was I ever out of line or anything but professional. This place is a mess. YES pricing is very competitive for the area- and that is where the 1 star comes in...but everything else is a shambled confused mess. read more

I had a special order that I was entrusted to do for a state organization. It was a simple thing. Letters & a small logo. I had originally dealt with a secretary, she took my order, I choose the letters and colors and paid 50% of the over $3000. price. When I picked them up, I had no time to check them as they were closing early. The owner was there, I think his name is Pete, anyway, when I said I wanted to check the shirts, he told me that they were mine & I had to pay the rest of the money, no matter what. I insisted on looking at the shirts. Many were crooked, some had ink so thick, I thought it would crack if it were folded. When I mentioned this he said that they were my shirts and if I didn't pay up, I'd end up in court. The whole time I was there, he was yelling at me. He was so close to me, I felt spit on my face. Stay away from this place. They are unprofessional, arrogant and Pete seems to have violent tendencies. I left with the shirts, but I was frightened that he was going to hit me. Our next order went to a very nice place in MA. read more
