I really appreciate that they got me in the same day for my cat. Dr. H was concerned and helpful in treating her.

Many months ago I brought my cat in with a hematoma in her ear, the emergency hospital could have…read moredone the surgery that morning but the senior vet said he could do the surgery. I went to pick her up and was guided into a room with a young women vet who without my permission did the surgery she was out of vet school 3 months. I was told the vet watched her but he said he had to leave early to take his wife to the hospital. it was illegal for him to let her do the surgery by herself. He said he watched her the entire time. THEN WHY DID HE NOT DO IT HIMSELF IF HE HAD THAT KIND OF TIME I HAD NOT GIVEN PERSMIISION FOR ANHYONE ELSE TO DO THE SUGERY. I went back again I said my cat is not well, They said she won't have to eat or drink water for three days NOT TRUE one of the vet assistance was like a mad dog ( I love dogs but this was nuts) staring me down there to protect her and agreed. At three am my cat was drinking tons of water I rushed her to emergency where the doctor said she had almost no electro lites and was trying to supply them by drinking she could not! she was on deaths door. She said did they not give her an IV this was wrong who monitored this cat? I said I don't know when I called the vet he would not refund me, he was sweet but it was an act, I deserved to b e paid for. both the surgery and the emergency hospital, I should have taken them to small claims court but I was so upset I could not write this review until. now. This place and his too sweet response was an act I believed he has many years of being this way but when his vet made a mistake she didn't take responsibility. He said he had to leave his wife was sick and he had to take her to the hospital (oh sympathy for him now) well if she is that sick call an ambulance. Yep everyone loves this vet but he did not take financial responsibility for his mistake and the emergency hospital notes mention. the surgery was not right. (in medical terms ) they have Mal practice I submitted it to them they said they passed it along but I never heard back they simply evaded responsibility. This man took zero responsibility my sister has Parkinson's I don't drive her to the hospital I call an ambulance! they are not expensive maybe 150.00 I spent close to 4,000 for the emergency hospital and his cocky knows it all vet student.the next vet commented on wow so any stitches he laughed! This clinic said they could see my 22 year old cat to check his blood pressure and refill his blood…read morepressure medication that was prescribed to him after a visit to the emergency vet for a ruptured blood vessel in his eye. Our regular vet did not have the equipment to take his blood pressure, and the emergency vet had given us just 6 days worth of blood pressure medication, just enough time to try to get him an appointment with our vet. Mountainview said no problem! Made us an appointment to get him in right away, and I thanked them so much for getting us in on short notice. Day of his appointment, I packed up my kids and my 22 year old cat who was just diagnosed with hypertension at the emergency vet after a blood vessel burst in his eye. Arrived 20 minutes before our appointment time to find a sign on the door saying they were closed due to staffing issues. I was in shock. I had told them on the phone how critical it was to get my cat in somewhere ASAP due to the small amount of BP pills we were given at the ER vet!!! And how I was so grateful they got us in due to that fact! The sign said they had made every attempt to contact everyone that they would be closed, but I did not receive any notice whatsoever!!! I double and triple checked my land line, answering machine, cell phone, email, and text messages, and there was nothing. They left me scrambling to try to find another vet that could do blood pressures on a cat and get in for an appointment with only 1 day left of life saving critical medication for our cat. I left them a phone message asking what happened! Why would they not notify me, especially in as dire situation as we were in?! I never heard back. No response. Ever. It was a miracle West Main took pity on me and got him in the next day, as we were going to run out of meds, and refilled it for us. They are our new 2nd vet now. Absolutely appalling treatment of what was going to be a new patient for them with a hobby farm full of animals.

Our normal vet quoted us $1,100 - 1,500 for the procedure (looks like a simple snip) so that was a definite no-go. Dr. Spencer took a look at it and within minutes said it was not a problem at all and could be done with ease. The entire team of ladies were so kind and obviously love animals. My pup is super friendly and they spoiled him with treats during the consult. The front desk lady was so accommodating and found a window to fit my pup into the schedule for the mini surgery the same week?! The procedure was no muss, no fuss (took less than 15 minutes) and it costs a fraction of what our normal vet was going to charge. No hidden fees, no "fee for processing the fee" here. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND bringing your animal here; it's worth the trek. Dr. Spencer has seen it all and has expert knowledge that put me at ease. I could not be more pleased with the results!!

Something I've noticed, It gets harder, and harder saying goodbye. My wife and I have been crying since 3pm, it's 8pm now, no dinner, no nothing, just tears. Knowing we'll never see our sweet "Luke" in this life again, is gut wrenching. He was something special, I know all pet owners say something similar. But, in fact he was very special. He had more facial expressions than any of my other 4 legged besties. He and I would have conversations and in his own special way we'd communicate. He'd wake me up every morning, at the same time every day, with his cold nose on my back or arm. Who's going to do that, now that he's gone. Anyway Art Spencer was very kind, patient and understanding as was Barbara and the other young lady (who's name escapes me). They were all very kind and understanding in our time of grief.
