March, 2024, I hired The Glass Guru to replace the cloudy glass in my patio door. They replace the…read moreglass with a less thick piece of glass which changed the integrity of the door. The door is now warped and will not close without using the deadbolt. It also leaks during storms because it no longer sits straight on the threshold - one corner overlaps so that water comes in under the door. The Glass Guru sent a representative in July to look at my door and his suggestion was to use weather stripping which unfortunately will not fix anything since the door is now warped beyond repair. I do not recommend this company to anyone. They do not know what they are doing.

I was so grateful that, despite the steady flow of customers, he took the time to talk to me and provide detailed information about the different styles what would suit my needs. He walked me through the installation and maintenance process and explained how certain features worked to make my decking experience a wise investment. I loved the samples and mock displays that helped me get a better picture of what my deck would look like and found plenty of literature to share with my wife to help us make our decision. This is a long term project, but we are definitely off to a great start. After extensive internet research, I have no desire to work with any other company on this project because I'm completely satisfied with what I've got here and intend to use them to complete our project when we're ready to move forward.

We've…read morelived in the home for 5 years and we're constantly finding things that need fixed because the work performed originally was all wrong. The front door has been on our list for a long time. I went to 4 different companies to quote the project. One company said they wouldn't do it because of the complexity. One said it would take 6 months to get a specialty door ordered and they wanted half the money up front. So basically paying thousands of dollars for a door I won't see for the better part of a year. Pass. The other company said they would need to rip the door off before they could give me a quote. Nightmare all around. Broadview was able to provide a reasonably priced quote and a 3 month lead time that ended up collapsing down to 2 months! I communicated with Ed for the sale and contract. My installation team was Randy, Bart, and Jamie. Absolutely stellar crew. Outstanding craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. I did not think we'd get that door centered on the opening due to complexities of the HVAC and structure of the original door vs the new door. It looks marvelous like it was meant to be there, centered, correct size and color. One of the guys said they've been doing this for 42 years and this was the second hardest door he's done. And the only reason he could do it is because he worked in New England where all the homes were old. They also installed 3 layers of insulation because our door had none. Like I said, the list for this home never ends. Grateful for the team, their pristine attention to detail and their commitment to craftsmanship. We are thrilled with our new door!

Edit as of 3/9/2022: A couple days later I went outside to do some chores as it was warm weather…read moresince finally getting my windows installed, and noticed a very bad caulk job where the window was not sealed properly and damage to the structure below the window. I am also attaching pictures of the caulk job and the damage that was done below the window. Overall with this experience I would not recommend this company. I had ordered windows in September of 2021 and still have not had them installed as of 1/29/2022. The second week of December 2021, I had called to see where the windows were and how much longer it would be until install. It took 3-4 days in order to get an answer. The receptionist would constantly put me over to people who had no idea what was going on and would promise to give me a call back, which would never happen. The Week before Martin Luther King Dr. Day, I finally get a call from who I think is the owner who said that they have my windows, and they could install next day. Unfortunately I work in health care and it is almost impossible to get off at that short of notice, which is something I feel like this person could not grasp. We settled for Martin Lurther King Jr. Day because I was off work. Unfortunately I was scheduled for install in the morning and we had 4-6 inches of snow and according to the owner they had the truck which was stuck in Delaware. No big deal, these things happen and I would feel awful if someone got into a traffic accident or hurt, and said that he was very sorry and would try to reschedule on a Saturday, which was something they rarely do. He said he would call up a team and would call me back to confirm. Never did call me back pertaining to scheduling on a Saturday. I am now suppose to get them installed the second week of February, we will see if it actually happens this time. Overall I have been very underwhelmed with the communication of this company and at this point the amount of money paid is not worth the service, especially one that I have yet to receive almost half a year later

We worked with McCloud windows to replace 16 windows and our back door (changed from French doors…read moreto a sliding glass door). We had a great experience start to finish. We had original windows from the 90s in our house and we were having a hard time keeping the house insulated, our heating and cooling bills were insane and we basically had heaters or fans running 24/7. Since getting the windows and door replaced, our house has been much easier to heat and we haven't had to keep the heater running. We also didn't realize how much outside noise was getting into the house- but our house is way more quiet now, and multiple people have commented on it. They're really easy to open and close, they have locks we can use to keep the windows open partially and not have to worry about people getting in or our toddler getting out. They also have drainage set up where there isn't a bunch of gunk in the windows all the time. Scheduling was really easy. I'm a nurse so I work untraditional hours sometimes and the whole team worked really well to fit us in. Aidan, our sales associate, helped by fitting in appointments on weekends and texting back and forth to help answer questions as we debated quotes. He was really helpful in figuring out which options we really needed, versus things we could skip, and helped us find some nice discount options. Al, who came to measure the windows, was efficient and even brought treats for our dogs when he came by. He gave us clear instruction for how to clear everything out around the outside of the house for easy installation. We had Brad Sr. and Brad Jr. for our installation team and they were wonderful. They were careful about keeping our gate and doors closed as they worked, because we have animals who would take off otherwise. They were super sweet to our dogs, and talked to our toddler every time she went to see them. They communicated clearly around weather and rescheduling (it was way too cold one day so we had to reschedule, but barely). They were flexible and answered all our questions. One of the dogs messed up some of the caulk, and they fixed it before they left for us. For all the windows and the door, it took maybe a day and a half for installation, and they worked bit by bit to make sure the house didn't get too cold as they worked. They also worked with us to decide where they worked, since we had to work around our toddler's nap. We got quotes from two nationwide companies, as well as from McCloud and chose to go wit McCloud both because they were cheaper for the same product and because they were local and more personable. Would definitely recommend them!
