Before he started we chatted briefly about what my goals were and why I was interested in the audit. We came up with three goals and went from there. He tested the air quality of my home and did a blower door test. We found some surprising areas that was losing heat and were inefficient. He was helpful in ideas for quick home fixes to making a list of problem areas to focus on. I was pleased with the whole experience. I wouldn't have realized energy audits were a thing until I spoke with a co-worker who recently had one conducted. I am glad I got one done on my home. I Hired Apco to put new siding on my house, it did not need it we really just wanted a color change…read moreand a new look, what a mistake! I am giving one star only because you must to leave a review. I told the salesman that I had extensive construction back ground and wanted to make sure the siding was installed correctly, he told me that there crews are so good they never have problems! I said I want to make sure the siding is left with proper room to expand when hot and shrink when cold, also nails are to be in the nail slots loosely so siding can move horizontally when expanding. I was told it woud take six weeks for them to start, at eight weeks I was calling them beause I had not heard anything and weather was now getting cold, finally they called with a start date. The day they came out Jay who was the supervisor showed up to meet me and we talked for ten minutes and he left! I went to an appointment, when I came back nine workers none of which could speak any English were there. Hitting the nails far to forcefully there work was beyond sloppy, siding cut to long or to short! The salesman said it would take seven to eight days to complete the Job, they were done in one day! These people do not know what a level is used for evidently, I have siding that is not level and started at different heights on each side of electical conduit on the front of my home so it looks ridiculous! Our house house has several exposed areas where improper cuts were made and are now subject to water infiltration. We have had them out two times to let them fix some of the visual problems, I have wasted my time walking around showing Jay the superintendent all of the eye sores and he gets two items fixed and says they are done! At this point we have siding up high on the east side of our house that was cut to short, but clearly not nailed properly because it is starting to come off! Our experience to this point has been terrible and we are still trying to let them make it right. The biggest problem is the siding being nailed to tight and cuts that are to tight, which leads to warping and leaking in the years to come. I have the manufacturers istallation instructions which were clearly not followed, and voids the manufacturers warranty. The proper solution would be to tear the siding off and have a trained supervised crew start over! I could go on but this is already to long save yourself a lot of grief and premature aging and find a company that cares about quality!

Nearly half of the windows installed are unsatisfactory -- several won't open, some have poor seals, and multiple screens arrived ripped or damaged. The door installation was also done incorrectly. The door does not lock properly, and the doorknob was installed noticeably crooked, which is both frustrating and concerning from a workmanship standpoint. Communication throughout this process has been poor. Despite raising these issues, it has now been over a month and the problems with the windows still have not been properly resolved. We also used this company for siding, and that portion of the project went much better, which makes this experience even more frustrating due to the inconsistency in quality. Unfortunately, based on our experience with the windows and door, we would not choose this company again and wish we had gone with a different provider.

My new house needed some cedar siding boards replaced due to wood bees. I have mixed feelings about…read morethis review. I got their advice on painting vs stain then found the prior owner's paperwork. I told them I wanted to stain the boards. They delivered some boards that were pre-painted and had to replace those so I could stain them. The installers were nice and came on time. However, they didn't have a paint brush to do the touch up work. When I got home, I found they hadn't replaced both sides of the dormer. Once I talked Warren, he found that it had been missed on the work order so they had to bring another board that I had to stain and schedule the 2nd. trip. I kind of had to keep emailing to keep the project moving forward, although I realize it is summer and I was a very small job. I will try them again next spring to have a siding checkup and hope it is easier. All nice people and reasonably priced.

Nice phone conversation…read more However, with the stressors we've had I didn't quite put it all together until tonight when finally looking at my receipt that I was correct when I was given a price and then it become much more expensive with so called taxes and fees as the excuse when I questioned them and that's what I'm told. $40 mirror plus $16 and change for backing plus $6 and change surcharge and tax isn't almost $90. Our glass was also packaged up so we couldn't see it upon arrival. I wanted to see it but was informed it's hard to mess up up a mirror during the somewhat awkward in person pick up where we wasn't acknowledged until we hesitantly rang the bell lightly after a long time standing waiting. When we took it out IN THE PARKING LOT it was very dirty with stuff we thankfully was able to see that it was moving off of the glass BUT never thought about looking at the backing. After we was home we removed it completely and with alot of scrubbing we got it somewhat clean. This should have been presented to us professionally and clean and we should have been shown the product before packaging it up . However, they was aware we wasn't planning on using a backing on our project as long as their work looked good we didn't expect anything less as they are a professional business. LOL but the contact paper was put on sloppily and now we have to use a backing. We are afraid if we try to fix their sloppy creases it may ruin the mirror finish so costing us even more from poor work. I tried my best to smooth it myself but the photos shows what I still have that is not as bad as it was but still sloppy. We were taken on around $20 in addition to sloppy unprofessional work. It's our fault we didn't press harder against their excuses on costs. We don't typically get ripped off by local businesses and I'm usually a lot more inquisitive and this is why. Can't trust no one. Hope you enjoyed screwing us. I don't mess with karma however you all do. Glad it's not my karma. Probably should watch our statement close and change our numbers. We needed this mirror to move forward with our project but it only put us further in the hole and more behind. We should have waited for our favorite glass company an hour away from us that we usually use and next time we will. Update: I just read through google reviews to find multiples who was quoted and overcharged. Wow just wow! I knew I wasn't wrong. Crooks!! I expect a 50% refund due to the poor product of what we should have been charged on top also the extra $20 fake fees charged. Around $55 refund expected back to my card. Update: was refunded more than I asked for after an email to the owner. No apologies but lady in office when I called told me it was the owner who I had to of worked with due to the day of the week he's the only one working there then but there was two guys so ‍) but who she believed I worked with on the order and she did verbally apologize for our experience and took care of me based upon the owners email.
