I went in for a contact lens exam and wasn't given a pair to try on and hold me off until I ordered more contacts. I asked if it would be possible to get a pair of trial lenses as I didn't have any more and wasn't given any but was told no. This is a first for me, in every contact lens appointment l've ever had in my 20+ years of wearing contact lenses, l'm given a pair to go home with. You pay $120 for the exam and leave with nothing. How am I supposed to know this prescription will work out if I don't get the trial pair?! I do not recommend the Terrell location, it has been a nightmare dealing with them and getting contact lenses. 0/0 stars **update** I reached out to the office manager at the email provided and never heard a response so I think it's just to save face. It was awesome. Every person I came in contact was professional and personable. I paid about what I figured it would be. But the best part was, about a month later, I was having issues with one of the pairs of glasses I had purchased. I took them in to the store in Terrell, along with two pairs of prescription sunglasses I had not purchased there. Not only did they fix the glasses that I had purchased there, they repaired the prescription sunglasses I had not purchased at their store! All at no cost! I highly recommend this store and the company should be proud of the people they have working there. They are top notch! read more

I came in from Georgia to lead a workshop here near Dallas. I lost my right contact, so I could barely see the people I was working with. It's disconcerting being out of town and half blind. I called America's Best in Terrell and Ashanti immediately took charge in wanting to help me. She found my prescription online and then put me on a brief hold to check if they had it in stock. Yes, they did. I was in a hurry, so I asked her if she could have it ready for me when I got there. "I've got it right here," she said. I didn't know this part, but while I was on hold, Ashanti asked her General Manager--Shamyra--if she could get me a trial pair since I was already an America's Best member. When I walked in the door, Ashanti greeted me by name and handed me the trial pair. I couldn't have been more grateful. I was able to finish my workshop with perfect eyesight and no worries. Made appointment online completed paperwork online when arrived for appointment was asked to complete the same paperwork on iPad. First part exam 15 minutes after scheduled appointment time was asked about retinal screening told it will be $40 neither one of your insurances cover it I have my insurance coverage there in hand & does cover it at $39 the employee disagrees and I waive it as I did it last year and paid out of pocket for it (reason I had my coverage in hand) screening felt rushed and not heard I repeated every answer twice as employee asked after each answer like they were not actively listening. Second exam with eye Dr felt again rushed I said 3 times I feel like my chair is sitting too low it's not comfortable on my neck way I'm sitting for the eye exam ignored each time. During exam was given 1-2 seconds to view and answer which view was cleanest or best good Lord how would an individual that required more time to process and answer be successful with this process? I felt like I was hearded thru like livestock and the staff I dealt with could care less. I asked for my updated Rx and I wanted to leave did not care to stay and look at glasses. This is my third time here and each time the service has regressed. read more

I'm pretty dang blind and called and they said my glasses were in and very rude when I called back almost 4 hours later to see if they found then they told me it would be possibly next day they had to sort and find. Meanwhile I said I want a refund and she starts arguing with me rudely places me on hold someone comes on the line after I requested refund of 607.00 and was told they found them. They ordered my husbands glasses with his work eye shields for the side and he never received them they actually had to order another pair of glasses and after 3 weeks he had his side shields that was suppose to come with the glasses the first time! I recommend trying another location this store has very rude people and bad customer service. I'm not one to complain but this is utterly ridiculous! ok finally I can do a review. So I Forced my mother to come here she is stubborn and didn't want glasses or get her eyes checked. Well to bad anyways we had the best person to help us thank you Jessica B also known as Jessica #1 as she put it because there are 2 people named Jessica there. Jessica B is so funny and so knowledgeable about her stuff. She made my mother feel comfortable and we laughed alot way to break the ice. Yes free eye exam if you get two pairs of glasses. Mom did add stuff to her glasses and Jessica explained everything to us and in the end it's everything my mother needed. They also have double checks which I think is good just in case anything is missed but she didn't miss anything. She did an awesome job and my mom loved her glasses. She went above and beyond and we could tell she did loves her job. That's what we need more of expecially during these hard times. read more

This by far has to be the worst place to go . The staff seem to be very snarky towards each other . My glasses were made incorrectly. When asked to have them made correctly, the price changed by $150. One pair of frames were too tight, the other had incorrect lenses. When asked to speak to the manager, they said she was not available and would be available in 3 days. After I kept asking questions, I was asked to the leave the store. They have both my deposit money and both pairs of glasses. There was no resolution to this problem today. completely unacceptable. The Terrell, Tx location is awful! read more

So I went in today for an eye exam. When I first walked in the door I was asked if I had a mask and I said no because I don't wear them. The receptionist gave me a kids face mask and then I asked if they had an adult size. She then proceeded to tell me no and if I would've just brought my own I wouldn't have to wear the kids one. Talk about rude!! The way she said it was with a major attitude. I almost walked right out the door for how rude she was. The receptionist is the first face you see when you walk in the door. She needs to learn some manners or proper etiquette or something. There is never any reason to treat customers that way!! I'll definitely be finding somewhere else to see the eye doctor if she continues to work there. read more

Do NOT waste your time at America's Best in Terrell. I was helped by James and Jessica at the time. I brought in my own frames in, and after weeks of waiting and no call from them ( had to come check on my frames myself) was told they couldn't use them. This place is unprofessional and not very friendly. I highly suggest customer service classes. read more
