The staff was super kind and considerate. Dr.Garza is very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the situation with my vision and my options. The only complaint that I have is that I had to wait over an hour to wait for my examination. Luckily I didn't have my next meeting until after lunch, but because I had to wait so long, I had to skip lunch and rush to my meeting after the examination. I understand that they are busy, but they should try to schedule the appointments further apart if they're too busy. read more

I had a great experience there myself and was looking forward to scheduling my kids for eye exams too but when I tried to email book an appointment online etc, to try to get my son scheduled, no one even had the decency to respond.......(and this was months ago, not just a few days) so I definitely won't even be going back here myself. Thought this was going to be our new eye clinic but not even getting a reply back for scheduling to say they are busy or will get back soon, is annoying and unprofessional. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the FRONT office staff will eventually ruin your business if you don't get rid of the people who are not very nice or not doing their job properly with follow ups. I have been a client of Complete Family Eye Care for several years, and I've always been very happy with the level of professionalism and service of all the staff. The front desk staff are friendly and courteous, and the techs are as well. I've been seen by both of the Drs. Garza, and I totally trust them with my vision and eye care needs and would highly recommend them both! I've seen Dr. Bita Garza for the past several years. I am an RN, and I am grateful she shared her concerns about potential infection when I was first considering contact lenses, leading me to select dailies rather than longer-duration contacts. She does a great job educating about the "why" behind her instructions (eg, why it's important to remove contacts every night), which helps ensure clients will follow them. And although disappointed, I appreciate her honesty in telling me that if I had LASIK it might only last a few years due to my changing prescription. There is a fantastic selection of frames for glasses, and the staff are so helpful in picking out the best ones for my face shape, degree of funkiness or flare vs. a more professional look. And they are so knowledgable about insurance, discounts, etc. Due to the whole pandemic situation, I didn't find opportunity to spend my FSA dollars as planned this year, and they helped me select eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses so I wouldn't lose any money. I live in far north Dallas, so it's a bit of a haul to get up to McKinney. But when they moved their office from Plano it was a no-brainer to stay on as a client with Complete Family Eye Care. Waiting time for the doctor is pretty long... after initial eye exam, the lady told me doctor would be with me soon, but almost 20 minutes now... still nobody showed up:( The doctor called because I was late 10minutes for the appointment @8:30 so he couldn't make it on time. When I got a new job (and therefore new insurance) I was seriously sad that my old eye doctor (of almost a decade) wasn't on my insurance anymore. I was sure I wouldn't find someone I'd be as comfortable with, but I am so glad I was wrong! Dr. Garza is someone who really cares about his job, and that means he can come across a little intense (i.e. passionate) about topics like contact care, and eye care. The thing is that it told me that he wants his patients to be healthy for a long time to come, and it's kind of refreshing to see that level of passion in a doctor. I had Lasik eye surgery and unfortunately it resulted in a thinning and then bulging of my cornea. I had been to other optometrists but Dr. K Garza was the one that got on me to do something, referred me to a cornea specialist and is why I had a relatively easy procedure to save my eyesight versus looking at a cornea transplant. Since then both of the Garzas have been taking care of our whole family and when my 8 year old needed glasses they made it easy and helped him feel less stressed. I was searching for a new eye doctor on the web. I saw their web site and then reviews and made an appointment. I just needed a regular exam and a new Rx for lenses. They were able to accommodate me quite quickly. Dr. Garza was great. She was very thorough and patient in asking my many questions, The staff was also great to work with. They understand the importance of a patient trying to control healthcare costs and were able to fit me with an excellent frame and set of lenses are less than I would have expected (and my lenses were pretty loaded, progressive, lots of coatings, etc, etc) I highly recommend them! read more

I called today at approx 3:30 pm to make a New Patient initial appointments for our family of 4. And it was answered by SUE!! First of, her voice when she answered, was not welcoming at all and I could see her disappointed face from her voice ( like telling me, really why do you have to call now?!) ... first thing she asked, was "Whats your insurance and your medical insurance"... No , not "how are you" nor any effort to make you feel welcome".... then she asked for my Grp or ID number and told me the earliest they have available is mid to late January--- as I was looking on our grp number to tell her--- she spoke again and said " we will be closing in 30 mins!!! " WOW, Like I'm asking a BIG FAVOR from her already. It all boils down to her BAD ATTITUDE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE of Not WILLING TO HELP !!!! NOT ACCOMMODATING AT ALL!!! I dont think the good reviews here are all real because SUE is the perfect example for a 0-1 "falling" star review. She is going to continue to push away clients from this practice!!! BEWARE!
