The staff onsite were very helpful and very friendly. We had our dog and it was a very small fee. The rooms were VERY clean, spacious and modern. Breakfast was provided, there was an attendant onsite that wiped down the food station and refilled everything during the breakfast hours. Breakfast includes grits, eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, etc. The best part was the coin washer and dryer on each floor and the easy access to parking from all floor levels. The hotel is next to a BBQ restaurant and across the street from a Quiktrip. Check out after breakfast was a breeze. This is a great stop for travelers, I highly recommend it as a place to rest your weary eyes.

I was greeted warmly and friendly. Other staff members I passed by all said hello and welcomed me. The biggest detractor I have for this hotel is it is located next to a restaurant that is open until 1:30 and has live music. My room was on the side of the hotel that faced the restaurant and ultimately a factor but it was so loud. I also thought the rooms were a bit more dated than the Hilton app showed, but not terrible. Guest doors all seems to be chipped and worn, which could be a simple fix to make things look a bit more updated.

This place has all the bells and whistle's so if you want to stay just a few miles from downtown St. Louis and you don't want to spend a fortune then this is the place for you.

When I arrived to check in, I was told they did not have any of that type of rook available. When I asked what they could do, I was hoping they would realize their mistake and perhaps give us a second room to accommodate our party. They did not. I was offered free breakfast which is not commensurate with what we needed. After speaking to the evening staff I was assured the manager would call me the next morning. I did not receive a call, and called and left a message with no call back. We had to make alternative arrangements last minute with some of our party, but this was way out of line. I would have exptected at least to be refunded the difference in the room rate as well, but no such luck. No apology, no rectification, and no follow up. Stay here if you want to have to scramble last minute and be charged for a room you never get. I guess this is why credit cards have dispute options.

I get that this is a buffet-style restaurant, but the servers went out of their way to do absolutely nothing. Instead, they stood off to the side and talked, and talked, and talked...excessively loudly. I now know, amongst other things, that the servers were a mother-daughter combination, that the daughter was born on April 22nd and is a Taurus (which apparently explains some of her friendships based on the line of dialogue), that she doesn't drive, that she is stringing on several guys on Instagram, that she had stashed away some of the food that they were running out of because she wanted to make sure she had those items before they ran out, that she is having issues at her other job and is facing potential termination (I can't imagine why based on what I've seen), and that she decided to leave some work for the Monday morning crew to deal with because she didn't feel like doing it herself. During all of those conversations, we had to get our own coffee and juice (which was not an issue), get our own clean silverware from other tables (which was annoying), get our own clean dishes from other tables (which was really annoying), get our own ketchup and hot sauce (which was incredibly frustrating since we had to walk past the servers to get them and most of the bottles at thier station were empty), and bus our own plates by stacking them on another table (which was just stupid). The only real interaction we had with a server was when she dropped the check on the table, and even that was eventful as she asked if she could take one of the dirty plates while simultaneously walking away before I could answer. I get that the breakfast cost me very little based on the credits I get for food from Hilton, but we intentionally stayed at a DoubleTree because the most important criterion for my pregnant wife was to have a really good breakfast, and DoubleTree tends to have great breakfast options. My room was clean, no issues and they had sanitizer wipes on the nightstand to wipe down things as you see fit. Overall I have no complaints & this was a much better experience than my last visit at a different location.

Minuses: *Housekeeping requests are not honored. No linens changed, no beds made - just left rumpled like when we woke up. So ridiculous, it was actually funny (not really). *Hotel updates have been laid over a dated structure - the rooms have wall a/c and heat, controlled by a modern thermostat. We had to change rooms, due to planned maintenance. Room 1: the wall unit could not be turned off. Room 2: the wall unit made a high screech. I forgot to put them back on top of the dresser when I checked out. I mentioned it to the general manager who checked me out of the room, letting him know the two bottles were still in the drawer, but I forgot to put them back out on top of the dresser. He was supposed to advised the housekeeper that they were still in there, but they still charged me for them anyways. So I would pay close attention to your accounts to make sure you do not get charged for stuff you do not use or anything extra.
