I had HUGE issues with the staff here since the beginning and have gotten worse. When I tried to book rooms for 18 people the event manager and manager in duty were snotty and unhelpful. I asked for the manager over all 4 hotels to call me. That never happened. I was given a non -NDA room even though I had reservations for months. The floor between the 2 Queen beds was wet and my clothing smelled like horrible mildew when I got home. My daughter fell in the 3rd floor NDA room as the floor level in the tub was very different than the actual floor. We were told "we won't pay for anything 3 days from now". I can call an ambulance for you now. I called this morning and told the male employee that answered the phone to have to have the owner call me before I reach out to the Regional Manager - I was told blackmail won't work and he hung up. This is just more than not having enough staff. This is a continual bad attitude and potential dangerous health issues. I just called to talk to a supervisor and was told that I could talk to Lynn. We packed a couple suitcases, put crates in the SUV full of work papers, left a bowl of food and water fountain for the cat, and away we went. Our Hermann-Washington resting place was this BW. The staff was great, particularly the staff member managing the Saturday morning buffet (even the sweetener packets were organized in neat rows in their bins). Usually I would not give such a high rating to a chain hotel, but the customer service here really sends it over the top. We were making a LONG cross country trip on US 50 and were looking for a place to stay. There really is not a whole lot available on this stretch of the road. I had read some info on Washington, Missouri and being a sucker for historical towns, decided to leave US 50 and head in that direction. We called ahead, and they had a room available. The young lady at the desk who checked us in was friendly, helpful, courteous and professional. We asked if there was anyplace to eat that was NOT a chain restaurant. She recommended a place in the historical section, offered to make a reservation for us, and gave us excellent directions to get there. (The restaurant was a great choice) She also was able do direct us to a convenience store / gas station that sold wine and was right across the street. The hotel has recently been upgraded and remodeled. There were plenty of convenient outlets in the room for the electronics. Our bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The WiFi was free and fairly fast. Breakfast was included in the price and was pretty good with a nice variety of hot and cold items. The dining and lobby area are all nicely appointed and very comfortable. This is a great choice for the area. read more

I wish I could give them a rating of negative 25. The front desk people are horrible. We had a family event happening close by. Arrived a little after 2:00 in the afternoon. Normal check in time is 4:00. I called that morning and was told by the male desk clerk I talked to it wouldn't be a. Problem. Arrived and the female working the desk in the afternoon informed us that check in is 4:00. Told her I spoke to a gentleman that morning and he said no problem. She wouldn't check to see if any rooms were available. We only wanted to check in early because we had a family event at 4:00. She didn't like that I questioned rooms being ready. It was after 2:00. We were told to come back in 45 minutes. We did and got the same horrible attitude. We ended up changing clothes so we could get to our family event in the lobby restroom. As we were walking to the restroom she yelled if we didn't like it we could go to another hotel. We changed and went to our event. We arrived back at the hotel about 9:30 and was told our reservation had been cancelled by another woman with an attitude. There aren't many options in the area, so I think sh thought she was really hurting us. The joke was on her. We only live about 45 minutes away and only booked the hotel because we didn't want to drive the narrow winding roads to get home. The front desk personnel were so rude and horrible I never want to stay at any Best Western. read more

We have stayed at this motel several times and would have given positive reviews except for one employee on 2 occasions. This morning at 2 am my mentally disabled son had a nightmare and went to get coffee, in an area that was not blocked off and no signs saying not to enter. I was met by the only employee who had been very rude to me in the past, she said she had told him 3x to get out of there and he would not listen, that he was making messes everywhere and I needed to get him out of there. I helped him get his coffee and he went back to our room. I went to the front desk to ask the employee to show me the messes he made so I could clean them up as I had not noticed any. Her first response was "you scared the shit out of me", not very customer friendly or professional. She said she couldn't show me any messes because she had not been in there and the problem was solved, it was the middle of the night and I needed to return to my room. I again said I didn't think the problem was solved if he had made messes I wanted to see them and clean them up. She accused me of starting trouble with her even though my voice was calm and she was yelling. I asked for her supervisor and she said we would be asked to leave and barred from all Best Westerns in the future. I asked her if she was familiar with the ADA law and she became irate. Telling me it was the middle of the night and I needed to go back to bed. I am my son's legal guardian and a mental health advocate. I am not a child to be ordered back to my room and have paid over $500 on just this stay. I have 2 dogs who stay with us. I always clean up any outdoor mess they make. I bring their own blanket to cover the motel bedding, we take out our own trash and leave our room very clean always wiping down the counters and the bathroom. I am now suffering from a massive migraine and the condescending behavior of this employee especially to a disabled person is unacceptable. A past encounter I had with her was several months ago when I pipe had burst flooding my room and the hallway during the middle of the night. I ALERTED HER of the issue. We were assigned a new room and told to GET OUT of the flooded room NOW, well of course, however; she entered my room and began placing my personal hygiene products, prescription medication and other valuables on the cart and began pushing it to a new room while I was still gathering my items. I let that go but she had no business touching our personal things especially prescription medications. She did not offer to help, she came into the room and started throwing our belongings onto the cart, ironically I was the one who alerted her of the flood. She is the only hateful power filled employment we have ever encountered. I have seen and heard party going guests enter the motel at all hours of the night. Many continuing to party and eat their own food and drink in this breakfast area way past 2 am. It is very disappointing and it is flat our discrimination. I have pictures of the area, nothing is roped off and I could find absolutely no messes. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the attitude to the mentally ill was on full display this early morning. Full blown stigma, 2nd class citizens and the guardian who advocates for them is threatened to be forced to leave the premises and face being barred from Best Westerns forever. Needless to say I will not be getting a good night's sleep here. It is just really a shame.​ read more

We checked in on one of the busiest holiday weekend - memorial weekend. We were very surprised that for a busy holiday weekend, there was only one staff member working the front desk. Although we had no trouble checking in, I was pretty bummed that there was no one to help with our luggage. In addition, when we requested extra towels and other toiletries, we had to stop by front desk to pick some up. Other than that, the room was very clean and exactly as described. We were happy with the size of the room and the cleanliness. Also, we enjoyed the free continental breakfast which had a fairly good selection from a DIY waffles to pastries to eggs, bacon and fresh fruits to make a few. I forgot to take pictures of the room but I did take pictures of the breakfast area! (Which to me is pretty important!) lol I love love that they have a grab and go if you're in a hurry to have breakfast!! read more

I am not one to write a lot of Yelp reviews, however my stay at this Best Western in Washington, MO impelled me to do so. I have stayed at dozens of hotels from exceptional to mediocre, but never blatantly RUDE until my stay at this Best Western. From the moment I checked in, I immediately noticed the front desks' lack of customer service. The employees of the front desk talked amongst each other and payed absolutely NO attention to their guests They made me feel like they were doing me a favor by letting me stay at their hotel. I visited Washington for a family wedding, and left feeling utterly disappointed If you and your family expect good customer service, I'd recommend to stay away from this Best Western! I was wary of staying with Best Western because my last Best Western experience in Missouri was dreadful (St. Charles location.) Fortunately, this experience for the most part was more positive. This Best Western is A-OK. Check-in was easy, and our room was ready for us and clean. It is a standard size room - 2 beds, desk, dresser, and a chair. The chair was oddly crammed into the corner between the bed and the window, but whatever, a chair is a chair. The bathroom was clean, but there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke originating there. I wasn't sure if we were maybe near or above/below a smoking room, but when we mentioned it to the staff they came in with air freshener and it was no longer a problem. The complimentary breakfast was standard, waffle iron, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, instant oatmeal, cereal, and a variety of breads. Coffee is dispensed from a Douwe Egberts machine (actually decent.) Seating in the breakfast area is a little scarce, but we made it work. My only 2 issues with this hotel is that 1) the beds were not very comfortable (for me.) If you are a fan of an extremely firm mattress, this is the place for you. Personally, I felt as though I was sleeping on the floor, and woke up with achy hips as a result of the hard mattress, and 2) when we called to make the reservation we were told that this hotel was absolutely 100% NOT pet-friendly. As it turns out, the hotel *is* pet friendly, as there were many guests with their dogs (this hotel is very close to Purina Farms.) Luckily, we had friends watching our pup so we weren't out extra money for boarding, but that's a serious lack of communication between reservations and actual hotel policy. Hard mattress aside, I'd stay at this hotel again if necessary. read more

This was a perfect location to stay in. We stay in hotels a lot and this place had the most comfortable beds and the cleanest rooms. Everything was simple but so comfortable and the staff was accomodating. The rooms were quiet even though they were full with two weddings. Our room was right over lobby and we heard nothing through the night or even day. Full breakfast was awesome every day. Definitely will be using them again when we are in town!!!!! read more

I cannot say enough about the Best Western in Washington Missouri. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible! I recently had foot surgery and cannot safely get into my home. My husband and I called on our way from the hospital and was told they could accommodate us plus give us an assessable room. We have been here for the last 19 days and everyone has been SO Supportive, helpful, friendly, and accommodating! The hotel is very clean and the breakfast delicious. We could not be happier! Everyone from the front desk, the dining room crew to the couple the cleans our room daily are very professional and jovial. If I have to be away from my home this is the place. One weekend there was 4 weddings going on. The hotel was clean and quiet just like a normal Tuesday. The staff friendly and went about their positions. That is a great staff to be that full and no noticeable changes. Well done and Thank you! read more

I stay at 1-2 hotels per week. This is a terrific Hotel. Newly renovated in lobby and rooms. Very, very friendly staff. Complimentary Buffet breakfast is better than any Holiday Inn Express, Drury Inn, etc. Food seems to be more fresh with more variety. I was surprised that this hotel was nicer than any Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn that I normally stay at. Loved it and it is my favorite hotel when I travel through my region. I cannot say one negative thing about the rooms, food, or service staff. I've now stayed there twice and both times were consistently excellent. read more

Great quiet, convenient location near stores and restaurants. The hotel was very clean inside and out. Pool and gym were open and the gym had wipes, etc. for the equipment. The gym must not be used much, the clock hadn't been reset for the change in time. LOL. Wish their breakfast had different hours on the weekend - 6-9 is too early. The front desk clerk said they are limited to county laws about hours and length tho. Bed was super comfy. The room fridge is larger than the standard square one and the coffee maker was Keurig and had reg and decaf Green Mountain coffee. Love the Pharacopia bath products! A big plus for me is the make up mirror in the bathroom and the large full length mirror on the clothes closet door. Breakfast had lots the standard cold items (including mixed fruit - although that was not very good) and lots of yummy hot options including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, biscuits & gravy and waffles. My only complaints were about the design of shower; we had a walk in. It didn't have a ledge to place your foot to shave your legs; the shelves that hold your shampoo are slanted so everything kept sliding off, the bumps on the shower floor to reduce slipping are smooth and don't work (especially if there is soap or shampoo). All the edges of glass from the shower floor to about a foot up and the shower door's tracks were filled w/ black mold. Yuk (and unhealthy)! I reported it upon check out and was told it would be reported to housekeeping. Overall it was a very pleasant stay! read more

There aren't many places to stay in the area. We were traveling from St. Louis to Kansas City for work but didn't want to stay in a hotel over Memorial Day weekend. Someone in KC suggested the MO Wine Trail. We were traveling for 3 weeks with 2 big Labrador Retrievers so finding dog friendly lodging and restaurants along the MO wine trail took a bit of pre-planning. The Best Western is a nice hotel to stay at and it's pet friendly with a small pet fee. The rooms are spacious and and the beds are comfy. It was the best night's sleep I had during my 3 weeks of travel. I enjoyed the Washington area with all the wineries nearby. There were lots of wedding parties staying at the hotel. We saw two brides leaving the hotel when we were checking in. There is a great grassy area to take your pets to potty near the hotel. Although one dog came back with a turtle in his mouth. My husband told me to go over to a tree where he put the turtle and as I bent my head over to look for the turtle I saw a big black snake. I screamed, jumped, ran back to the hotel parking lot and left the dogs over in the grassy patch!!!! The hotel reservation staff said the nursery draws snakes and turtles for food. So my advice is if you take your pets across the street to the grassy area near the trees watch out for black snakes! The hot breakfast was nice in the morning and has an outdoor patio to sit on. We used the fitness room and the pool area during our stay too. We were only there for one night but really enjoyed the hotel. read more

Horrible customer service. They basically robbed me. I reserved a room for the night of my brother's wedding several months in advance. The person I booked with took my card info, but said I wouldn't be charged until the stay. They didn't inform me that I would be charged if I didn't cancel 24 hrs in advance. My boyfriend tried to check in under my name last night when he arrived to check us in. They informed him there was no reservation under my name, so he paid for the room with his credit card. They then also withdrew money from my credit card for the room. Thus we were charged twice. When I called to sort out the misunderstanding, they informed me he was not able to check in to my room because he wasn't listed on my reservation. However, when I made the reservation, they mentioned nothing of the fact that I would have to be the one checking in or list everyone in the room. They blatantly screwed me out of money, and were unwilling to see this misunderstanding and fix it. I have several family members who stay at this hotel often....definitely not anymore. I will be sure to let everyone I know how horrible they treat their guests. My father also has a reservation, but when he arrived, they let him cancel his reservation on the spot...not 24 hrs in advance. So I guess that was an exception? The front desk staff was friendly but had our two reservations incorrect, A third room reserved by a friend was also incorrect. The surprise was that staff didn't seem to think it was important. Also, either a pungent air freshener or cleaning product made it uncomfortable to breath in common areas. read more

My husband and I where staying at the hotel for our 7 yrs anniversary. And I had fell in the stand up shower and I fractured my C1 vertebra and damaged my hip and back and I can hardly walk anymore. There is no grip on the floor, and no handles in the shower. But they are denying that they are at fault in any way and that there showers are safe. Because no one else has fallen in the shower. I have over $40,000 in medical bills and still going. They are not taking any responsibility. The company was not concerned about it at all and have dismissed me regarding the matter. The staff was very unprofessional about the matter. They didn't even want to fill out an accident report for their insurance company. They would not return my calls, when I was finally able to get there insurance companies info they had already fixed the shower floors so the insurance company doesn't believe me, even though I have pictures to show the shower floor had no type of adhesive on the floor. The insurance company said cause no one else had gotten hurt staying in the room we where in they where not at fault. read more
