I was traveling with my 4 children and I called to make a reservation and I was worried I would have to get 2 rooms to fit all of us. They had a room available With 3 queen beds. I was so relieved that they actually had a room with 3 beds and they were very accommodating of my 2 pets. While my stay I also had my mother's ashes with me in the hotel room since I didn't want to leave her in the car. I unfortunately left her ashes in the hotel room after I checked out I didn't realize it until front desk called me letting me know the housekeeper had found my mom's ashes. I was already unfortunately too far out to turn around and go back because I was having really bad car issues. I thought I could return the next day but my car kept going out on me. Finally I called front desk asking if there was anyway they could mail my mom to me. The front desk was so understanding of the situation and me made feel so much better. They mailed my mom and made sure to wrap her really neatly and really secure. I am so grateful that they were able to do that for me and she arrived in amazing condition. I wish I would have gotten the employees names that helped me. But I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have no idea how much you helped me and lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.

The parking lot was empty, there wasn't a traffic light anywhere to be seen, and people were riding bikes and walking dogs through town. While some people (particularly lone women) would find this creepy, I enjoy it. Coming from huge cities, it's sometimes nice to encounter such a quaint town. Especially one with a Dairy Queen so close where you can get food only that DQ's in Texas has. The Travelodge is old and it's obvious as soon as you pull in and see the old swimming pool converted into a parking lot with a basketball goal placed on top. The decor is what you'd expect from a Middle Eastern owned / managed place. The pictures on the walls are mass produced, the shower curtains are typical, the towels are small, and the carpet is mediocre. However, the beds were a good size, the pillows were soft and fluffy, the comforter was nice (not the thin, itchy kind), and the A/C was cold. My son stayed up most of the night taking advantage of the free Wi-Fi while watching the flat screen TV. I feel bad for not remembering the name of the Manager, but he and his family were super kind. They played outside and were happy to answer any questions I had. In the morning, they thanked us for staying, provided us with coffee, and waved at us while we left. Good ol' Texan hospitality!
