There were some minor issues that my husband was able to address all within a few days (branches too close to the roof, 1 roof tile needing replaced, etc. The 3 "red" flags (noted to be the MOST important things needing fixed) were , in our opinion, not "red flag" notable at all. One of them was a wasp nest!...really???....we, of course, took care of that immediately. The other two were on a side entrance to the garage concerning the stairs. Not a big deal at all and we have someone coming to fix that in the next week or so. In our 11.5 years here , because of the location of those stairs, we have never once used them. The inspector also noted that our gas fireplace in the family room did not work. This was absolutely incorrect! It works perfectly fine! The gas was turned OFF due to it being summer. Another incorrect assessment was that our jetted tub in the master bath did not work. I was curious because last time I had used it , it worked fine. So...I personally tested it and I have NO idea what he was talking about because it worked perfectly!....We have bought and sold 9 homes over the course of our marriage and never have we had a home inspection that was so out of line.
