Her testing is unreliable and anxiety producing. just to make a thermogram appointment, your credit card information is taken down immediately. Weird but ok. Results took much longer than usual- 3 weeks. They are abnormal. She's claiming it could be this or that or something else. She claimed that I'm estrogen dominant and to throw all my essential oils as they are estrogenic. She kept saying "make sure it's benign" and I asked her "are you saying I have breast cancer?" In which she responded that the thermogram has indicated that I've had some serious physiological changes" So I go to my NMD for a second option and she states that she too, used to use thermograms but threw them out after it produced way too high number of false positives and was having to refer patients in for mammograms- and the mammogram results typically came back as normal anyway. This NMD tested me right there so I can see results for myself. she also tested all my hormone levels and said it's the complete opposite way. That I am absolutely NOT estrogen dominant, that I actually had a bit more progesterone then estrogen and that if I had listened to Christine's advice, it would have messed my hormone levels up. Christine advised me to go in for a 300$ ultra ultrasound and go back to her for testing (to figure out what's causing all this) and to redo the thermogram. Thank goodness I won't be. It's a a huge relief knowing that there's nothing wrong with me, but what a waste of time effort and money. If you get abnormal readings I would suggest getting a second or third opinion with someone who is a licensed physician and knows what they are doing. Of course I did this very last minute (the day of) and I called around. Sue was able to get me in that evening for a 2 hour "Raindrop Therapy" massage. Her space is a charming little cottage off of the main strip in Mendocino. Both she and her space are absolutely delightful! Before we began we discussed my needs, likes, dislikes, what's going on in my life, etc. This helps her get a feel for me and what my body may need. Once the massage began, we talked a bit about oils and what some of them were doing for my body. She was very generous with the essential oils (which I love) and her time to really work on my body. The combination of her knowledge, firm touch understanding of a bodies needs, oils, warm towels and stones... so wonderful. The massage ended with a salt scrub on my feet, and the ringing of Tibetan singing bowls being chimed under the bed. When I came out of the room I was greeted with a delightful cup of herbal tea. I have spoken at length with an extremely high, recognized Tulku who explained that he and others of similar standing do not recognize this man as their teacher. The people described as monks and nuns, as far as I know, take no traditional monastic vows. The teacher does not live on the property. He lives in Maui. He follows popular wellness trends (red light therapy, carnivore diet) and presents them as his own teaching. The organization runs some charitable activity which gives a veneer of legitimacy that does not match what I observed from inside. Over more than a decade, in good faith, I gave a significant amount of money to this organization under the impression that I was supporting charitable work. I was only ever contacted for donations, and I gave on a false and misleading premise - believing I was helping those in need, when in fact much was going towards funding this teacher's lifestyle. Not once was I shown empathy or compassion, even to the extent of "how are you doing?" What I did experience repeatedly, from the teacher and from the attendant staff, was coldness, condescension, and open disdain. Sincere questions were met with dismissal. Students going through hard times were ignored or shamed. The relationship from their side was transactional, one-way, and demeaning. Run from this place.
