This middle school is a great fit for my family! I have an 18 year old son who attended Peary MS…read moreand then graduated from Juniper Serra HS. For math, you should consider taking Mr. Yamachika's classes, if interested. He teaches math in a very interactive way which will catch most student's attention and hopefully your child will excel in math like mine did. I can only refer teachers based on the ones we personally knew but you should rest assured knowing that your child will SUCCEED here if he/she WISHES TO DO SO. One thing I do regret is not enrolling/following-up on the Magnet program here while my son attended Peary but he did take AVID classes. That is an alternative program if you missed the application deadline for Magnet. Please take advantage of all the programs LAUSD has to offer. It is our responsibility as parents to do our part as well. Sadly, there are many negative reviews here - please do not let that discourage you. It's all up to your child. I believe in this school so much so that I have enrolled my daughter into the Magnet program at Peary. She just started her first day yesterday. Let's go Huskies! Here are a few more excellent teachers we had the pleasure of knowing a few years back. Ms. Smith-Nobles (English/History) Mr. Fletcher (P.E.) Mr. Lagasca (History) Mr. Fokwah (Science) Mrs. León (AVID) Ms. Irons (English) Ms. Knight (Science) We missed a few teachers and I apologize for that. I simply wanted to share this review as soon as possible with the hopes that people will not be deceived by the negative reviews. Hope this helps.

Something we had never experienced before. It ended up being one of the best decisions we could have made. At ECMSG, the Dean and his team did an incredible job holding my son accountable for his negative behavior while also recognizing and reinforcing his positive efforts. That balance truly helped him get back on track. Because the school is smaller, there is much more individual attention and staff really pay attention to the details. The supervision staff genuinely care about the students and build healthy, supportive relationships with them. On days when my son wasn't feeling his best, he could easily request a check-in with the counseling team, which made a huge difference. The office staff is always warm and welcoming. They consistently go above and beyond their job descriptions. The school also provides strong support for parents by clearly explaining the grading system and offering tutoring to help students stay on top of missing assignments. The Special Education department is patient, accommodating, and incredibly supportive. The Principal is highly involved not only with the students, but with the surrounding community as well. He builds meaningful relationships with the kids and truly listens to parents. He has an open-door policy and never makes you feel like your concerns aren't important, which was very different from our previous experience. Their outdoor education program is another highlight. The students learn hands-on skills and how to solve real-world problems in meaningful ways and we get invited to come hear the kids present on their learning. I am extremely pleased with our experience and highly recommend ECMSG to any family looking for a smaller, supportive school environment where students are truly seen and supported.

I especially appreciate how involved the principal is in everything happening on campus. What stands out the most to me is the strong support system and the clear communication the school provides to both students and parents. We are very grateful to be part of this community.

Such a beautiful, and fun place to have our kids start their Catholic foundation the sisters (nuns)…read moreare amazing, but in the last two school years (2024-2026) this nursery has a dramatic change. A committee was put in place made out of volunteer parents which dictates how to manage the nursery. They have full access to personal accounts (billing) , private chats (playground app), and medical files (parents tb test) and who knows what else. This is sad and disappointed to know that Sister Gisela (principal) has no authority over what she has created. What was once a place of trust and faith now feels compromised -- and unfortunately, it's a serious privacy concern that could lead to legal consequences. This school used to be a peaceful, beautiful and holy place to families. Now it has become full of disappointment, evil vibes, sadness, anger and arguments upon parents and sister Gisela.

This school is soooo reasonable and the education is top notch. You pay $130 per week. First, if your Catholic you will appreciate the fact that it is being run by the Sister of St. Claire's. It was a little intimidating at first because they are the real thing. They are Godly, stern, caring and compassionate. It is amazing to send your kids to a faith based school that teaches your kids faith followed by a top notch education. I am very good about teaching my kids at home but that coupled with the education at St. Anthony's put my boys at an educational advantage. This school is well structured and safe environment for kids. They are also big on socialization skills which is important for preschoolers. They put on a shows like the spring show, coronation of the Virgin Mary, All Saints day and some many other cool stuff. They take so much pride in everything they do that it just makes you feel like you know you have made the right decision. Kids must be potty trained. Uniform worn 4 days a week. Burgundy polo with dark grey pants. This could be purchased directly at the school (very reasonable). You can buy lunch Wednesday's and Friday's only. Friday's only is pizza day and free dress day. They respect all COVID restrictions and adhere to all the public health standards. Homework is assigned every week and due the following week. Open from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm. Principal is Sister Gissela Phone number is 310-329-3166 I hope that helps you and you cannot go wrong with this awesome preschool.
