Haven't been to Alyse in a long time. I used to go every week as.I hurt my back badly at work. She gave an awesome Massage on your pressure points, while telling you what organ was connected where on your body. It was a very cozy space upstairs in an old house. She and Mike expanded and opened a Shop downstairs with beautiful loose stones and Gems. I do believe they are moving if they havent already. As a fellow suuuuuper picky therapist myself, it's hard to find someone who can effectively relieve my discomfort. Alyse is such an intuitive therapist and energy healer. Her healing hands know exactly where to work the knots out and reverse my pain and improve my posture from hunching over at work all the time. Usually, therapists do a cookie cutter routine and avoid focused work, but not Alyse. Aside from the physical benefits, my mental stress was dramatically reduced and I left feeling completely rejuvenated and balanced. As soon as you walk in, you automatically feel like life slows down a bit and everything smells like heaven. Alyse is a gifted therapist! I find it difficult to find someone who has the experience and intuition to effectively apply various treatments beyond what you typically receive with massage therapy. I have some joint and soft tissue issues and going to Alyse has allowed me to manage them more effectively and resume more rigorous fitness activities. I have been seeing Alyse for prenatal massages and it's been great. Not just because of how she fixes my hips and back but also because it's fun to chat with her (but silence also isn't awkward, I am just chatty). I like that it wouldn't be crazy to bring my toddler with me while I get a massage, although I haven't because I enjoy the "me" time. But Alyse has toys and things to occupy kids! I bought a package of 5 prenatal massages which came with a discount. So great and I am sure I will love each one. This is silly but I also love that there's a bathroom on the 2nd floor (Alyse is on the 3rd). As I make my way slowly up the stairs I always think hmm do I need to pee first? And duh, I'm pregnant, so yes. It's convenient! I asked her if she has considered doula training because with her magical hands and calm demeanor she would be a great birth worker. Alyse is really amazing. I recently experienced lower back pain and neck/shoulder pain. She was really good at relieving my pain after hearing my needs. The massage was so relaxing that I fell asleep in 20 mins. One other thing, the location is not really straightforward. It's in the attic of a house. When I walked in there I was skeptical. There are a lot Massage Therapist and those who say they can enlighten you. But this is different. Working with Alyse was amazing she was kind patient gentle and respectful. She let me pick what type of music I wanted and made sure I was comfortable throughout. During the massage I forgot I was in a massage therapist office (attic) and I felt like I was at home with a friend. If I lived closer I would be there often but since I live a distance away I have to plan out my trips months in advance. I have to say was hands down of the best massages I have ever received. I have been having some low back pain and she worked that area expertly. Just had a GREAT massage here with Alyse! The space is tranquil...soft hues of lavender and rich, royal purples. The spa was very clean and the owner/therapist was extremely personable. The massage was well done. I felt as if I had the relaxation of a swedish massage paired with the benefits of a deeper tissue massage; Alyse did use a lot of efflurage, but also worked in some specific trigger-point work. Furthermore, she was very knowledgeable and explained to me why certain issues were manifesting in specific areas of my body. Personally I enjoy hot towels and they were incorporated throughout my massage. I especially enjoyed the Dove chocolate at the end of my treatment. Where to start? Alyse a straight forward genuine type of person.... So I look to strengthen my life with regards to becoming the strongest version of myself through experiences and knowledge obtained through research... At this time in my life I have obtained many muscle imbalances through a quacky chiro that I saw one time last year and the visit was just to get a renew feeling... Ever since then my life has been down hill with constant back and neck pain... I have now through many experiences and techniques on my way to a healthier, more functional version of myself... Ok now you may wonder why I have shared my perspective and experience... That is to better help future clients make informed decisions on the type of person they look forward to aiding them in order to better themselves... Now here's my experience... Sunday July 28th I meet Alyse for the very first time... Initially left a message and received a call back the day before to book an appointment... Very easy and smooth process... So as I've been looking to correct my own muscle imbalances (tension mainly to the left side of my body)... Alyse has been the first person that I've seen to actually point out many trigger points and tense locations that I had missed... Now just so we are clear, this is a method that I had recently started researching and practicing... As our session continues she really gets in to a rehabilitation state with my body which you can really admire and appreciate when you understand the basic operations of the muscular system... So as she's working the trigger points over and over you feel the connections to the connecting fibers of all the muscles being released... For simple definition and understanding figure a trigger point under the scapula and when messaged being felt up to the base of the neck... Alyse is a very motivated, committed, & knowledgeable type of person... It is hard now in days to find someone who isn't just about presentation but is about their successful techniques... Like I've said before she communicated effectively on what she is doing and if you ask her specific questions she has more then an answer but a possible root cause of the problem... I'm excited to have found a professional like Alyse who can really apply her techniques... Certain things I would probably have not found out if I had not met this expert... I Believe with her assistance and extra knowledge shared to me, we will soon be having me back to 100%... I can appreciate her precise techniques as I know many others will as well...
