These two people stood in front of the heating unit looking at it, and doing nothing more. We asked questions about the system condition, and how to check, and operate it. Neither of m&r's people had any idea what to check, or how to check it. We asked if they had an AMPCLAMP, a meter for measuring current draw. They did not. All they had was a common VOM, which would not tell anyone anything. One of the two simply stood looking up at the machine, saying nothing. We asked the "Knowledgeable" one , who was holding the useless meter, if the circulating pump was running. This kid put his hand on the pump, and said that it was running, which was obvious. M&R charged us over THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for NOT doing what they specifically hired to do. M&R should be ashamed of what they did to an elderly, limited income, couple. This is not a "Shill review", posted by employees, and friends, it is our first hand experience. NEVER HIRE M&R (DIS) SERVICE! One star is far too many.

He had to return to his shop 3 times to get the correct parts. When I requested a statement he said it would be provided AFTER i had paid? When I asked for a breakdown of the charges he said he could provide that but that he remained on the clock until I had paid. At 2:15 he said he could not complete the job that day, which was filling the hole with dirt, and would return in a couple of days. When I called the office the owner said she had heard about me and dismissed my concerns. I was very dissatisfied with the entire interaction and will not use them in the future.

Most recently a simple request to connect a swamp cooler resulted in a $530 bill after the plumber(?) broke the shut of valve and didn't have tools to fix it (the same employee had handled a previous call where he had to back to get tools). According to him, the valve just broke when he touched it. He proceeded to charge for his time sitting around while waiting for a part, then bragged about what an incredible job he did He even took the time to measure all of the filters and belts (none of which were being replaced), and cleaned out any spiders that may have been in the cooler!?). He was condescending, blamed us for any issues, and even called me a liar. He padded his bill by lounging around and performing unnecessary tasks. Sadly, his supervisor basically said the employee is always right, but they'd talk to him about not directly calling customers liars, and the solution is can't we just get along. So what should have been a quick job, ended up as an hours-long ordeal with high expense and a water damaged garage. Unfortunately it appears that this level of service has been deemed acceptable by the company, so will likely be the norm in the future, so it is time for our families to find a company that takes more pride in the work not only of the owners, but the employees they oversee.
