Absolute nightmare. Brought our 5 kids(1-9) and played one game. We couldn't enjoy ourselves because every screen was playing pornographic music videos. Our kids were scandalized. Tuesday Night Review! I found a Groupon for $36 which included two hours of bowling for four, and included shoe rentals. This was a great deal! Social distancing rules were followed, employees all had masks on. We ordered beer, and were told we needed to order food with it. I will never come back here. My 9 and 5 yo sons wanted to try bowling on a sat night. COST US $70 FOR 1 GAME PLUS SHOES!!! My 9 yo son wanted to order food and we couldn't afford it since our game was so much! Drinks were somewhat reasonable I ordered a beer and jack and coke at the bar it came to $14 which I thought was ok. Other reason for 1 star was at 9pm they announced "cosmic bowling" and were suppose to turn the lights down. They only turned a few of them down I have no clue why! read more

I went on Saturday afternoon 2-4pmish and there was a good amount of people. We were asked for a debit card to hold our tab when checking in for a lane. The fee for games at this time range is $6.95 a person and $5 for renting shoes. For covid, it was every other lane which was good. This bowling facility is very spacious and has the bowling balls organized well from lightest to heaviest which I appreciated with a child. They ask right away if you need bumpers if you're with a kid. The staff and prices are what lowered my rating. I was very polite and they barely look at you or say "you're welcome" when thanked. The lack of good and friendly customer service goes a long way for any business. The young man at the food stand wasn't very nice as he could barely hear us because wearing masks but he sort of screamed and asked rudely "what did you say" multiple times. Their grill was broken so they couldn't make the loaded fries we ordered but he still charged me for them $7.59 even though I changed to regular cheese fries which are less and was what we were given. They charge a covid $0.47 fee not sure what that's about but they're prices are so high they cover any kinda inconvenience that would mean the covid fee. They charged us $7.98 for 2 regular 20oz Gatorades which is kennywood prices about, I realize you pay more when out but even convenience store prices you can get 4 bigger size Gatorades for that price. Nevertheless, we had a good time and were spaced out enough that we had our own privacy. The location and parking are both great. They have a small arcade and bar but we didn't use these. I'd say alternate days are probably better deals and we will avoid buying drinks here if we visit again, will see about bringing our own possibly or else go to another alley. I'd recommend they work on their customer service skills and friendliness at most. Edit: The management staff gave us coupons for two free bowls and credited difference on fries. They have specials every night. My fav is the Monday all you can bowl for $16. The staff are super helpful and the system is easy to navigate. We had a rather large group and they didn't miss a bit. It was a fun experience bowling. Also, their food is magnificent. It didn't taste like bowling alley food. I had the chicken sandwich and fries and it was restaurant quality. This bowling alley is ran extremely poor!!! I went in to bowl on a Tuesday night by myself so I only needed one lane. The entire bowling alley was being used by leagues. They have 52 lanes. A bar that is away from all the kids. A consession stand that serves you at your lane. And goofy shoes. I also hear they have an arcade, though I didn't see it. Their pricing isn't horrible, however, after we bowled 3 games the guy at the register decided to tell us that if we would have arrived after 9pm then we would have paid less. We arrived at 8:54pm. Booked a bday party online here - easy and simple. Followed up with a call to confirm everything. Was greeted with such kindness and warmth, even with a busy Saturday night. Everything was efficient and easy. Felt like family welcoming us and our 6 teens. Food was delivered and was SO good. We were checked on often and taken care of very well. Teens had fun bowling and in the arcade. It was a busy night and they still were very attentive and sweet about everything. We had never been there before and WOW... this is our go to from now on. Recently came here with a group of friends when in Pittsburgh. We couldn't find a spot at the one in downtown and came here. The place is huge, there are a lot of lanes and very spacious. Service was nice, kept clean and can get a bit crowded in the evenings especially with the league crowd. The pricing at this location seemed very reasonable, the prices vary depending on what time of day & week you visit. Saturday evenings are most expensive, even then it seemed pretty reasonable to me. You can also rent bowling shoes at the location for about ~$5. We had played two games and had great fun. On the down side, we spent quiet some time searching for bowling balls. Once you pick the lane, you have to go choose the bowling balls from the side - with sizes going upto 15 but the small/medium ones tend to run out. We also tried some pizza while playing the games. The food served here was decent. They serve beers and some bar food like pizza, chips, etc. The pricing at the bar was decent and could have been a bit more reasonable. They do have some vegetarian friendly food here. Overall its worth visiting if you are in the area for the reasonable prices or if you couldn't find a lane at the downtown location like me :p read more

Service was amazing and information was available from a knowledgeable attendant. and availability was very nice. Pro-Shop prices were fair and service in the Pro-Shop was fast and effective. A re-drill of my thumb slot was 5 dollars. Lane surfaces were very optimal. Our pair of lanes were oiled within the hour of our arrival. Food and drink was typical of a bowling alley with prices slightly above average, not a complaint from me. Equipment was in good working order. Lane 17 had an error that needed resolved and they moved our ongoing game to lane 18 while slight repairs were conducted. We finished the night on lane 18, a right side lane; my preference, and lane 17 was occupied at the time we left with no signs of error. Restrooms were clean with the exception of a sink out of order due to a sanitation soak; something which I see rarely done. I did not get to experience the bar, which is unusual for me, but I intend to submit a review of the bar. The appearance of the bar is spectacular and the selection looks extensive. For habitual bowlers, this lane is a great spot. Everything I could ask for was present and all conditions were excellent. This standard is hard to find at local venues, and I appreciate AMF's dedication to provide a comfortable bowling experience. read more

Came bowling with my family 2 days after Christmas. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening and were able to get a lane. We were surprised by the price (almost $7 per person per game) plus the cost of shoes. This was a Friday early afternoon. The bowling area was well maintained and clean. There was at the time a food selection of balls in good condition. We had a great time. We got bottled drinks from the snack bar. There is a full menu but we didn't try that. There is also a full bar which has pool tables and a small arcade that looked fun. The site also had lots of advertising for discounted days and student rates as well as special events like leagues and New Year's Eve. The women's bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Being so early in the day it was obvious that it had probably not been cleaned for a long while and it could also use some serious remodeling. read more

Came here with a group of friends yesterday to celebrate my fiancée's birthday. We got there around 7, it was fairly busy for a Wednesday. We waited in line to get our shoes and to pay for our game. They are severely understaffed which I totally understand because a lot of people are right now. We had a group of 11-12 people coming. So we asked if we could have two lanes. The lady behind the counter was immediately rude telling us we couldn't have two lanes for only 4 people. We explained they were on the way and we just had gotten there first. She then tells us we NEED to have everyone there to get two lanes and refused to give us the lanes. So I politely asked if she could please give them to us because everyone was on their way. She finally budged and said that leagues were starting again so we need to call ahead or we aren't going to be able to get a lane. I told her it was our first time there and we didn't know any better. She was still extremely rude about it like it was our fault for not knowing that? She also made us put everyone's shoe rental and games on our 1 card? I've never had that happen at any other bowling lanes I've been to. At one point our ball got stuck in the gutter and she runs over extremely rude again saying "I have 52 lanes to watch I don't just know when a ball gets stuck I cant watch every lane." We weren't even concerned about it but again rude for no reason. I get they only had two workers there and it was very hectic but it's really not difficult to be nice to people. If you hate your job that much find something else. Don't take it out on paying customers. I honestly would never come back here - the environment was negative and so was the experience. Great family location! There are a lot of lanes, interactive graphics, and a huge parking lot. I have bowled at a lot of places, and AMF is pretty decent! Their pro shop is excellent and very knowledgeable. Food is decent, but the cook and service is a little slow on busier days. I think when I go there is only one or two people working. read more

We just moved back to Pittsburgh, and my husband started playing in a league at Mt Lebanon Lanes! We come here a few times a week for him to practice and for me to learn! Everyone that works here is so nice and helpful. It gets busy with leagues most nights, but if you go closer to 830-9, I've found it's easier to grab a lane. I'm not sure about the pricing since we get the league pricing and it's very affordable. They have a bar, and let leagues bring their own food in sometimes so it must not be a huge deal to bring your own food in. This place is a local gem. read more

This bowling alley has all the amenities you could need of a bowling alley. It's huge! They have many balls that you can use and their wasn't a time when they didn't have my shoe size. There are a few things they could work on. 1st the website is never updated with their specials or prices. If you call for a price, it seems like no one knows the right answer and they always tell you a different price. The last Saturday night we went there, they had a bowling league taking up all 52 lanes until 9pm. It was disappointing. Also they have a bar and food. It's basic bar food. Great lanes! Right off of Washington Road these particular lanes are in an older building but it has been kept rather well. Automated lanes & scoring as well as properly waxed lanes make for a great bowling experience. The restrooms are a tad on the small side, considering this place has 50 lanes. There's a bar, cafeteria, pro shop, and other amenities. Coupled with good service it is definitely worth the trip. read more

Took my nephews & nieces on 12/26/2019 - the day after Christmas. Their bowling prices that day were significantly higher than any other bowling center in the area ($6.49 per game - everywhere else is between $3.75-$4.75). Yet, their lane equipment is sub-standard. Their bumpers don't go up & down per player, they have to be either up or down for everyone. And our lane had problems, the rack frequently didn't set all 10 pins. You're much better off going to Sports Haven, Paradise Island, Main Event, Noble Manor, Crafton-Ingram, Princess, Legacy, or West Pike. read more

The tv screens showing football games, basketball games, etc. are old, non-HD TVs so not the best to watch in between bowling frames. I enjoyed bowling as a young kid but after spending my teen years by an overseas Army Post where pretty much the only thing we had to was "hang out at the bowling alley," I've steered clear for the last 20 years or so. However I'm an Aunt now and love spending time with my nephews. At 9 and 13, they aren't the easiest to "entertain" for the day. I had them for the day last week and as I was wracking my brain for what we could do, I remembered that I frequently drive by a building with BOWLING painted on it large enough for an Astronaut to see. I thought, "they'll never go for it" but was thrilled to be proven wrong. Both boys loved the idea so off we went to Mt Lebanon Lanes (when did they stop calling them Alleys?) Recalling the smoky, dingy, run down bowling alleys of my youth, I was pleasantly surprised to find Mt Lebanon Lanes well lit, clean, organized, HUGE, and did I mention clean!?! Not a whiff of smoke to be found! The trauma of my teen years faded away as I dealt with pleasant staff, nice shoes & balls, and a building filled with happy people bowling away. The only thing I missed from my teen years at that Post Bowling Alley were the snack bar prices - wow have prices gone up since the 90s. My nephews both had a great time bowling at Mt Lebanon Lanes and I quickly realized that it's a fantastic activity for kids. It keeps them active and engaged plus they aren't glued to their iPods! They enjoyed enjoyed watching each other bowl and laughing when just about every ball I threw ended up in the gutter. We did have something get messed up one time with our pins but some magical elf who lives behind the machines had it fixed so fast that my nephews didn't even have time to finish arguing over whose fault it was. When we arrived at the Lanes (still want to say "Alley") and checked in at the front desk, the helpful staff told me about some sort of "Summer Pass" for kids. And although it sounded like a great deal, I laughed because I thought "I'm lucky I got them here once." Well the joke was on me because my nephews loved it so much that they've already asked if we can go back next time they have a day with me. We will definitely be returning to Mt Lebanon Lanes and I'll be kicking myself for not buying their Summer Pass. read more

Went in here to get 1 lane to bowl a couple games with my wife and a friend for my birthday around 7 on a Friday. There had to have been 10 lanes open, at least. The guy working there (who by the way stood there and cleaned the counter for a good two minutes before even acknowledging us) tells us he has nothing open until 9:30. Bull. Will never go back there. I know them workers here a t the bowling alley just by coming here so often they do give you tips. And take lane reservations I believe. Food is ok. I like it. It is nice bowling alley!!! This place is good cheaper than meadows. Also they are now doing sa summer pass you can get which is $26 but you can bowl 3 games for free any given day with that. Found a way to be here much more! They offer the free bowling for kids summer program, which is great - each child gets 2 games per day free, though you do have to pay for shoes, which was around $4. The lanes are clean and well lit, there are a few video games and air hockey, plenty of bowling balls in all weights for everyone. The only downside is the Lounge (snack bar) which is VERY overpriced and the service was pretty slow. Nice staff! Seems like there's a special every day! We go weekly. Some weeks are busier than others but staff has also been nice to us and informed us of times we had to wait to get a lane. I wish I can give minus rating. Went to redeem coupons given to my kids for summer reading program by the library. The kids had a very bad experience. Rude customer service. They have a "Kids bowl for free" program , yet wanted to charge more because the kids bowled few times more them the 10 times limit in one game(It was our first ever bowling game - not sure of the rules). They wont accept electronic coupon given by their own web site for summer registration. I thought it is not worth wasting my time explaining to them about their own program and ended up paying. My friends and I are frequent bowlers in our area. We recently decided to try an AMF location in Mt. Lebanon, PA on Washington Road. We understand there are leagues going on which is why we called ahead to ask about open lanes. The person on the phone told us there were some open but they were a first come, first serve basis. We decided to try it out anyway and when we arrived they had plenty of open lanes after the league started. We asked for two lanes next to one another and started our games (we normally compete against one another). In the middle of our game the manager came over to ask us to move onto the same lane because there was more people coming in who wanted to bowl. We were a little confused why we were being asked to move in the middle of gameplay when we were there first and were told we could have the lanes next to one another without any problem. However, we stopped our game to move anyway. Unfortunately, not only did they put a bigger group next to us it was also a group with 10 children. They were running in front of our lane while we were in the middle of throwing, there were several of them up on the floor while we were trying to take our turns, and they were running through the seating area. We expressed our concern to the manager and said we didn't feel comfortable paying $5 per game, per person when we were inconvenienced twice and we were concerned of the safety of the children considering they were running behind us during our back swing. Instead of helping the situation, we got told the most she could do was discount our shoe rental and we would have children next to us anywhere we bowl. I'm not sure why there is a first come first serve basis if it's not followed but also I'm taken back by the fact the manager wasn't concerned about the safety of the children running in front if bowlers. I understand it is up to the parents to watch their children too, however, there are rules on how many people can be on the floor at once and 10 children should never have been assigned to one lane. It wasn't reserved for a party and the area couldn't accommodate that many people. Im extremely disappointed by how this was handled. We Bowl every night of the week and we will not be giving business to this location again after the way it was handled by the staff and manager. Not only was it unprofessional, to discount the price of shoes after interrupting a groups game and then putting a larger group that was a bigger inconvenience next to them, is ridiculous considering how high their pricing is for bowling. The Meadows Casino is extremely high class compared to other bowling alleys in this area, and they don't even charge $5.25 per game/per person on a week night. On weekends, Mt. Lebanon Lanes will charge you $6.25 per game/per person. If you want to charge these high of prices then I suggest getting better management to accommodate your guests. read more
