Boiler room management provided the host with a room and key for keeping our valuables. Few of the ladies who were at the party kept their handbags in this room and locked. After the party is over, we went to pick the bags and noticed that someone opened the lock and robbed the handbags. There were a total of 5 ladies handbags and one of the guy's wallet were stolen. There was also a suit case missing which makes us think that the robber kept all these handbags in the suit case and left. Their office manager was feeling really bad at the time of incident. He looked into the cc tv footage next day and saw a person walking away with the suitcase. We were informed that they have liability insurance and not to worry. Later, the insurance company informed us that Boiler room's insurance policy doesn't cover theft. Just want others to be aware of this.

There were individually plated salads with either ranch or homemade Italian dressing and rolls with butter. Everything was extremely clearly labeled as to dietary restrictions and even allergies such as nuts. The service was truly took this place to the next level. There was a small bar offering both alcoholic beverages and soft drinks and even a mocktail option. Servers came around to our table constantly to clear dishes that were finished, fill water glasses and keep coffee hot. When my friend mentioned she had had an early start to the day and needed that coffee for her drive home, the server offered to get her one to go. Just phenomenal folks here. HIP at the Flashlight Factory may claim their "clients are not just another number," but their…read moreactions certainly prove that their clients are nothing more than dollar signs to them. Long story short, HIP notified my BFF via email only one week before her wedding that, to comply with the fire marshal's mandate, their venue would no longer be able to accommodate her wedding. Fortunately, the bride and bridal party were able to miraculously find another amazingly accommodating venue that same day, but HIP's handling of the issue was nothing less than classless. What was already a stressful situation was exacerbated by HIP's incompetent and unsympathetic actions, including (but not limited to): - delayed communication of the venue's inability to host the wedding - being unresponsive to requests to finalize details of the venue transition (yet still having time to post videos to social media about the situation) - trying to charge ridiculous prices for minimal venue involvement ($2,500 just to use the venue as a hotel and to take pictures there), - and claiming the rented tables were damaged when they were returned (even though they were already damaged when provided in the first place) just to be able to keep the $500 deposit We're so thrilled that the wedding turned out well despite the frustration of having to deal with HIP, but their behavior and attitude were completely unprofessional and, quite frankly, rude. If you're looking to have your big day at their venue, I'd recommend thinking twice. Give your business to people that truly have your best interests -- and not just your money -- in mind.

Seamless. I pre-paid online. I presented my ID and had my room key within five minutes. Customer service was friendly! Check-out was just as easy. Gave my room number and was on my way! The room: The room is spacious. I got a double-Queen room. Plenty of lighting. Decent sized flat screen. A large closet with hangers and an iron inside. The bathroom is where things went wrong. There's an obvious plumbing issue. While showering, the water was not draining. Unfortunately, I had to shower with a pool of water at my feet. When I got out the shower, the floor was completely soaked. The water was flooding from underneath the tub. Also, there were obvious flood water marks near the toilet. Amenities: Free breakfast including items such as yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, Cinnabons, sausages & more. Free coffee and tea available as well. A very large pool is onsite. A small but mighty gym is on site as well. Vending machines and an ATM are in the lobby. I did see multiple signs reminding guests about "Quiet Hours." Which makes me believe this hotel has issues with guest hosting room parties. Outside of the bathroom issues, I would re-book if working in Downtown Pittsburgh again. But for a leisure, social trip I would consider booking elsewhere.

I asked whether I could pay for an early check-in, and instead of responding professionally, she looked at me with obvious disgust and acted like my presence was a problem. Her tone was cold, dismissive, and openly hostile. She told me there were no rooms and that I should just wait, with absolutely no basic courtesy. The way she treated me made me feel deeply unwelcome, and honestly, it felt racist. I was so uncomfortable and upset that even though I could not get a refund, I still left and checked into another hotel. That is how bad this experience was. If this is how they treat guests, people should stay far away from this place.
