Despite reading numerous amounts of very distasteful reviews for this institution, I decided that I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and look into them myself. I went to one of their open house events where surprisingly, I ended up starting the application process. I gave them all my documents, completed the application process, paid the application fee and even did an interview. When it was time to get my acceptance letter, a random man who I had no previous conversations with informed me that I would have to pursue the LPN and not RN program because I had foreign documents, mind you they're evaluated and were shown to them from day one. I told that man I wasn't going to do the LPN program and he laughed in my face and walked away. I went to go see the person from admissions who I did my application with to just to get some clarity, that man said NOTHING to me not even a fake apology for providing incorrect/incomplete information. I knew right there not to go not a step further with this place. Smh what a waste of time and money. MORAL OF THE STORY ALL THE BAD REVIEWS ARE TRUE, DO NOT IGNORE THEM. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

believe all of the negative reviews. they have not one care in the world for the students accept to get the money by any means, even zelle. the classrooms are loud and overcrowded, unprofessional students who cheat on exams. they deter you from requesting accomodations. their only idea of accomodations is extra time on exams and that is at their discretion lol i had an idea what i was in for when i came to apply but gave them the benefit of the doubt and boy was i wrong. need to report an instructor? automatically place blame on you and ask for proof, how can i get proof when you all do not allow us to record? not even making sense. i would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. i had a meeting with the president to address my concerns, the night before i sent her an email so i could recall everything that i wanted to address and the next day on the way to the meeting she has the receptionist call me to tell me that she was not coming into the school today. she did not even try to reschedule with me, just disconnected the call. did not email me or try to set up a zoom call, she doesnt not care just collects the american dollar. absolutely disgusting. you are not valued here you are just your coin. ****believe the reviews******* recently had a situation where a program approved paying for my entire tuition 7-14 days after the tuition was paid for by my student loans and the school refused to reverse the billing and accept the payment from the program. they keep telling me how they already processed such and such amount of claims and there was a deadline. i explained in depth that the program denied my application in competence on the part of the admissions rep of the program and the reps at amg do not care its all about that good ole american dollar, they got paid they do not want to wait to be paid again. typical behavior honestly. i cc'd many people in the emails including both presidents of amg and not one of them replied or chimed in on the issue, they left the billing department to email me some generic email about how they have deadlines and that it was my responsibility to make sure that the program followed through. again after i explained that my application should have been approved 1 year ago!! that my tuition from 1 year ago should have been paid they still do not care and refuse to send the loan payment back. now lets discuss the fact that there arent even enough computers for each class to take exams, we have to wait around for hours before we can take our exams. by the time we get to take our exam we are hot, hungry, tired, ready to go home and unable read more

I have been very disappointed with gentleman who was applying policy that they didn't have in writing ... at least when I had asked to show me a copy of policy they said they don't have it ... so how can you apply something that you don't have a prove of ... ???? This school Is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life. They play games with your money and do not have an ounce of concern for the student. The price of credits and ATI fees go up throughout your semesters, be ready to take out more loans. ATI exams count for 10% of the grade to pass most courses which is too heavily weighted in my opinion. They constantly change the passing grade requirements, and hold you up as a student. Just wait until you have to take the exit course, they force the students to retake a final for EVERY class they already passed. Most schools just give and exit exam. RUN!!!!!! Run as far as you can from this school. I was one of those students that said, " I will give this school the benefit of doubt". After reading all of everyone's review i still went here. I wasted my time here. Time that i wish i spent somewhere else. If i continue to write about this i will be here forever. The school is located across from the projects. The school appearance is horrible. You don't know it's a school from the outside. Put it this way you don't feel safe in the school nor in the neighborhood whether is dark or light outside. While i was there i try so hard to make changes because i was a part of student council. I am at a different school now and i am so happy. The only professor who cares about her students is Professor Hussin. She is the math professor but other than that none of the professor cares about their students. They want us to fail. Dean Mel is the dean of the school, and he is so fake to his students, if you tell him to help you, he likes to say, "use all the resources on your canvas". I know nursing school is hard but please choose wisely. One more thing i will add the presidents of the school don't respect the students. The leaders at this school care zero about the students .All they pressure the students about is money , they charge students $500 if you miss a clinical, whether you have a doctors note or not , the clinical directior magalee is rude , the bursar and some of the professor talk the students like we are 5 year old . There is no one to talk to about concerns , All they do when you have an issue is look at you like you crazy . One whole week No ati access because they forgot to send out information for the students to practice and no notification acknowledging the issue , All of a sudden, a post is made ...pay, today, to avoid the late fee Not even a grace period when they messed up . The only thing the bursar Dwayne finds important is sending out notification about dismissing students when has outstanding payments instead of working with them to solve the issue, Despite all this , there are excellent professors who are there for us and they really want the students to progress in their academics thumbs up . Nursing is NOT for every Tom, Dick and Harry. many students feel entitled, they think they'll pass the program with no to little work. those who give negative reviews are DISGRUNTLED students who don't study, then blame the school and teachers for their failure. these students think they'll pass the program because they pay "$30K", yet won't do what they're supposed to do to pass. Nursing school is hard. No if ..buts.. or maybe. However I passed my NCLEX on The first try glory to God !!! During nursing school I was homeless, experienced death in my family , and so much more... God made a way... and with Gods help I never gave up. If I can do it you can too! That being said, I'm looking on returning to AMG for the LPN- RN bridge. AMG is the worst school I ever attended right from my elementary school; Amg is the only school I was despised by the director ( prof Brown) to the extent of setting traps for me which I fell in one that kept me at home for five (5) months. Ms Brown (the director) is a nightmare. She even threatened to expel me from the school because of a 'hearsay" with out hearing from me. One of my classmates told me that she said that I am not humble because I pass all my exams. She gets angry at you when you are doing well; instead of encouraging good students, she discourages them. One of my seniors said " they hate it when you make As which is very true.. They are perfected in giving the students 89.9; they force an A student to become a B student for no reason. Ms Brown loves those teachers that are perfected in failing students. The moment she discovers that a class is doing well, she sets the next exam by herself to make sure everyone fails because she will set what was never taught in the class. If you had never failed any exam AMG will help you to have that experience for sure. The worst part of everything is that you have no one to report to, you just take the rubbish the way you see it. I cried out my eyeballs during medsurg 1 & 2 becos the teachers she hired for the courses have no clue of the subject matter. I nearly quit during medsurg 11 because the teacher was busy reading the slides and text book and setting the most difficult exam for us, it was a terrible experience. At a point I quit my job, registered for extra lessons just to pass medsurg. I thank God for his mercy that period. At a point I thought something was wrong with my brain because I study hard and still don't do well in prof Lukmon's medsurg 11 unit exams but I later found out that it was everybody that was failing, the class average was nothing to write home about. But I thank God for Hesi which prooved that I have been working so hard. So, if you are interested in AMG get ready to give up your job at a point if you don't want to fail and be ready to study on your own in some of the courses. Another problem with Amg is unstable internet which made some of my class mates to fail medsurg 1 because they couldn't finish their hesi exam. Nonetheless, I must acknowledge prof Modest( maternity and pediatrics instructor); she knows her stuff, I give it to her. Prof Emeka( fundamentals instructor), he knows his stuff and carries students along, thanks to him. And finally prof Ventura( pharmacology instructor) is a rare gem, he has all the medications in his brain and needs no book or slide to deliver. DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. I'm a current student here at AMG School Of Licensed Practical Nursing and all in have to say is that this school is HORRIBLE. 1. The staff (Nickla Brown and Nathalie) are VERY unprofessional, they are rude and extremely nasty to their students. They don't know how to talk to their students in a respectful manner. 2. This school is extremely expensive. It is $27,000 which financial aid and the loans you take out doesn't cover the cost of the school. You will end up having to pay $8,000 out of pocket This is the only school (LPN) that costs this much. Other programs that I know of cost half the amount of this school. The others are $18,000 3. You will have to pay the school 300-$400 every month and to top that off you have to pay $1,300 for ATI 4. No, books are not included in your tuition (again tuition is 27000 and you have to pay 8000 out of pocket) no books included, no shrubs included, nothing. 5. THIS SCHOOL HAS NO WI-FI !!!!!!! 6. $27,000 and they don't have a LIBRARY !!! They do noooooooooot have a library !!!! 7. Cafeteria is small and can only fit about 15 people. They have no vendor machines, and every couple weeks the bathroom is out of order. It's winter and the heat in the classrooms doesn't work. Every couple days the heat is OFF ! So you are sitting in class with your jacket on, freezing. 8. On Fridays you can dress down, you don't have to wear shrubs, that's ONLY if you pay them $2.00 Sooooo, what do they do with that $2 they collect from the students ? NOTHINGGGGGG !!!! I recently graduated from this school and the only thing good about the school are the teachers the hire to teach. They will instill a vast amount of knowledge that will carry through in your nursing career. However, the director of the school "Nickla Brown" is the most nastiest and unprofessional person I ever had to come across. She has no respect for the students and even some of the staff. The school is so expensive already and the level of disorganization on how students are always left in the dark about classes being rescheduled and clinical rotations baffles me. They charge you for practically everything, even to wear your own street clothes on a Friday. If you so choose to, that's a $2 fee that they claimed goes towards providing free coffee to the students of which never had sugar or cream to mix. The library has been so long under "construction" which is over 1 year now. They took all the boxes filled with snacks they use to stack their vending machines, placed them in library and locked the room so no one can go into it. Now that's basically a storage room. They charge you if you miss a clinical day, but funnily when myself and classmates sat over 2 hours at clinical sites on more than one occasion waiting for our teacher to show up and never did. Ms. Brown had no explanation,apology or even a plan on how we were going to make up the day we waisted sitting in a lobby waiting for instructors that never showed. The owner for the school who is there everyday, has yet to come into a classroom and introduce herself to the class I was in. There is talks of them opening an RN school and rest assure I wouldn't even attend it if I was offered a free ride through the school. And not to mention this RN school would probably run you up to $50K. After all the ridiculous fees for ATI and other crazy things, It ended up costing like $31K not the $27-$28K they tell you. Do not go to this school. I repeat do not go to this school. I am currently attending this school and I am in pharmacology class. This class is set up to make you fail. How do you have a test with on 31 questions and was told to study six chapters. They are purposely making the test short and very very hard so that you fail and not make it into fundamentals. The instructor is unfair with the wording of his exams. Exam three had fifty questions. There are about forty seven students in my class and only one person pass. You have to study eleven chapter for an examination. Who can retain all of that information. The class is only five weeks. This is the worst school to go to. You have to pay $2 on Friday to dress down. They don't even tell you where the money is going. All they care about is money. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Cafeteria is so small for students to eat in. There website saids that they have a library. That's a big fat lie. There is no library. made the biggest mistake of my life coming to this school. Please don't come here. Not to mention that even with full financial aid and a full loan you will still have a balance. Plus they don't tell you when you sign up for the program that you will have to pay for an ATI program that is mandatory. You need four payments of $369. Please don't go to this school. Every time we take a test. There is not enough computers to take the rest. Students have to wait till other students finish to use the computer. If another class is taking a test. The test is rescheduled for another day. This school is the worse. And to think there planning on doing a RN program. Run away from this school. Worst school to come to.
