I was a long term patient of Dr. Spector, whose work was always top notch. When I was referred to Dr. Sedaghat, I assumed he was equal to Dr. Spector, whose practice Dr. Sedaghat acquired. I was not disappointed in the least. I was seen immediately and my issues were addressed until they were solved. It would have been easier to just fill the root and send me in my way, but Dr. Sedaghsat, took the time and cared to make sure that any infection that existed in the tooth was gone. This required antibiotics and four or five visits. Once the whole area was good, he closed it up and I have not had an issue since. He and his caring staff remind of you of the old time doctors/dentists who REALLY still care. His staff, from the first call to the assistants are very pleasant and caring. When I was quoted a reasonable price to fix the root canal, I would not have been surprised if the price went up based on the amount of subsequent work was involved that surprised us all, but the price didn't go up and if it did, I would have paid it. Dear readers, Dr. Sedaghat is a life saver. I was in a real bad tooth pain not knowing what the issue is. After going to urgent care and getting x rays done I was told that I need to see a root canal specialist. It was Friday evening and I called every specialist in Great Neck that exist. No one wanted to take me the next day and would only allow me to be seen till 3 days after which would be Monday. Of course I would have been dead by then from pain. The angel of go-d, dr. Sedaghat to the rescue was the only Dr that gave me opening to be seen in his office the next day early morning. Beside his great urgency availability, he's skills are unbelievably great. Dr. Sedaghat is unbelievably professional, proficient and has the best bed-side manner imaginable. A root canal is supposed to be uncomfortable, if not painful. Yet each time I've gone to him (3 times for 3 different teeth over a period of many years), I've had the same, wonderful experience. He makes sure that you are comfortable, explains everything he is doing as he does it, and gives thorough, easy to follow instructions before, during and after the procedure. I can't believe I'm saying this - but I actually look forward to going to the dentist when I know it's Dr. Sedaghat. Amazing, amazing, amazing! Dr. Amir Sedaghat is a truly one of a kind endodontist. From beginning to end, my experience with his staff and he was nothing short of comforting and reassuring and pleasurable. Let's face it, route canals are not pleasurable. If a doctor can find a way to make that happen, I think that that he is truly unique. I was absolutely petrified when I was went. During the procedure he was kind, empathic and gentle and he checked in with me constantly to make sure I was doing well. I had no pain during the procedure and no pain after it!! Dr. Sedaghat is an amazing person and dental professional. He has a unique way of administering novacaine so it greatly reduces the pain of the needle. He is caring, and constantly checks to see if you are comfortable. He is the perfect person to see if you have pain issues or dental phobia. He works with each individual's unique issues to make the process as stress and pain free as possible. I have had three root canals done by him, and would never go to anyone else. My dentist referred me to Dr. Sedaghat for a painful infection under a 4 tooth bridge. I was seen immediately that afternoon and was treated with great skill and gentleness in an office atmosphere that projected orderliness and calm. Following the first treatment, pain was reduced immediately and eliminated entirely in 1 1/2 days. For the second, final visit to complete the root canal, there was no pain or even discomfort. Dr Sedaghat is awesome! Unfortunately, I have had more than one root canal Dr. Sedaghat has made a very miserable experience painless and easy! He is patient, kind, and listens to you. He is very reassuring and takes the time out to speak with you. I recently had " tooth pressure " at the site of an old root canal.... Where to begin... Dr. Sedaghat is a superb Endodontist! Besides being so knowledgeable and talented as a dentist, his bedside manner is what will stay with me. Just a warm and caring person who explains everything in detail, answers any questions and puts any apprehension you might have to rest. -He was able to complete my root canal in one visit -No pain at all- not kidding...(I've had cleanings with more pain than this!) He was extremely patient and took the time to run several tests to ensure the source of my pain. He was very thorough and explained to me what could be wrong and our options moving forward. The office runs the appointments on time...2 pts right there. Dr Sadagat ran my root canal in two visits, the first to take xrays and discuss what was to be done. He then consulted with my dentist, and did the procedure on visit #2. The dr was great. Didnt feel a thing . Afterwards, just needed tylenol and Advil for 8 hrs which they gave me in the office. They also give you clear written instruction of what to expect afterwards....which for me was no pain. read more
