Recently my wife and I were traveling up the shore and stopped in to the AFH and were amazed at the fabulous selection of top quality furniture. We spent over 2 hours just browsing from set to set and we weren't even really looking for anything in particular. Over and over again we would call to the other and say "hey look at this, Wow beautiful" We were very warmly welcomed by Tim and later met his son who happened to be there that day. Every variety and style could be found. The craftsmanship was over the top. It was so fun to look and dream. Being a woodworker myself I know what it takes to produce and finish such fine furniture and immediately recognized that this was not "just another furniture store". You will not be disappointed. So as we were walking through I remembered that we did have a need for some chairs for a Prayer Cabin we were building at The Wilderness Fellowship Ministries here I am the Dir. We asked Tim about what he might have in a cherry chairs and he led us to a number of different sets so we could look them over. Well needless to say our newest prayer cabin is now displaying two of the most beautiful hand crafted cherry chairs I have ever seen or sat in. Upon retirement, we needed to downsize the size of our home. When we built our new home, our existing furniture wouldn't fit so needed "new" furniture to not only accommodate our smaller home, but would out last us. Therefore, we didn't want to purchase imported / inferior quality furniture. We had purchased several pieces of furniture from Amish Furniture Haus in the past, i.e., bookshelves, but now we were looking at a major revamping of our furniture. Since their livingroom and bedroom furniture is American made and handcrafted, we decided to purchase our "new" furniture there. Yes, their furniture is not "cheap" but prices are "reasonable". But then again, quality items are never cheap. Since it was going to take 6 months to build our new home, and it takes approximately 3 months to obtain our new furniture, Amish Furniture will hold your furniture until you are ready to take possession (within reason). We are very happy with our livingroom furniture and subsequent other items we've purchased from there. We continue to purchase furniture items from there, as needed. read more

I ordered a Marshfield loveseat and 'chair and a half' from Amish Furniture Haus. A very kind and attentive young man, Josef, gave me lots of his time and help in selecting fabric. When I phoned with questions prior to visiting the store, owner Tim was extremely kind and helpful. The furniture was delivered yesterday ... I love it! I can feel the quality when I sit on them .. solidly made. And the fabric selection looks even better than I anticipated! The delivery folks were kind and careful ... left no messy wrappings for me ... and they arrived right when they were expected. They have a good selection (and online catalogs), and they were very helpful throughout my shopping. The custom-made table was ready ahead of schedule and delivered and set up on my dining room rug. Easily the the best quality wood furniture in the Duluth area. The prices might be a little higher than the big box stores but the value is still better when you consider the materials, workmanship and catalized varnish finish. No made in China lacquer finished crap in this store. Also we found a nice rug for our living room. read more
