What can I say this place gets 3 stars because they're nice. But I'm sorry I'll keep things honest: I've come here 5 times due to a Groupon and each time takes 20 mins except the one time I got the girl that knew how to thread eyebrows. It's always a slow process for some reason and the last time the lady and her finger in my eye almost and in my mouth almost . Like her finger positioning was uncomfortable . It seems like most of the people working there don't really know how to do eyebrows or it just seems like they learned recently because you can tell they're not really experience long-term. I have gone to other places where my eyebrows literally take 5 to 10 minutes but here she's always going back because she missed a spot there and she has to go back in to get an area that she missed there. Also the Groupon o bought was for 5 sessions BUT you have to use the 5 sessions within 6 weeks. That means you have to get your eyebrows done every week. Who gets their eyebrows done every week? It doesn't allow time for sufficient hair to grow back so when you do go for your second third or fourth appointment they don't have enough hair to pluck or thread so they end up taking longer because your baby eyebrow hairs can't even be threaded. I find that obnoxious that you have to go every week in order to use the Groupon. read more

This was my 2nd time getting Brazilian wax. I got my 1st one done elsewhere and it was a slower process with the same level of pain. I ran into a groupon deal for this place and decided to give it a try. Most of their customers are walk-ins but I made an appointment anyway. They made the process as quick as possible I was in and out in under 15 mins. Since it was so much quicker than I thought , I also got my eyebrows threaded while I was at it. For $7, cmon you can't beat that. Overall, their other services are also very reasonably priced. They also offers facials and henna body arts. Parking is private lot in the back, but be cautious since the entrance is easy to miss. read more

I've been here three times and every time I go, Amita starts the cotton threading and stops halfway and gets someone else to finish it. It's always a new person and they are always training. This time the new lady cut my face with the cotton. I don't know what else I could say but it was a horrific experience. read more

I have been coming here for 8 years straight! The prices are amazing. $23 for a regular Brazilian. $35 for a purple wax Brazilian. $7 for eyebrow threading. Each one of their employees take their time with you. Amita (The owner) and Radha are my favorites. They do an excellent job. I moved to CT before and would make back the trip down here because I trust nobody else with my eyebrows or Brazilian. Very friendly employees. Have to agree with the previous review about professionalism. While waiting I heard her ask the girl in the chair if she wanted her lips threaded (very loudly)the girl said no and she continued to ask her and said "are you sure?" As women we all know this is a bit rude, if a girl wants her mustache done...she'll ask. She continued to do this to each customer. Each time I've come here the prices have changed without notice. I would my its waxed and eyebrows threaded and it feels like they were making up the price and when I brought it to her attention she ended up taking the lower price, idk how I felt about that. My regular brow place is closed on Sundays so I needed to find somewhere else to go. I went here after reading reviews. There was only one person doing the waxing and threading at the time I walked in so there was a wait. They did try calling other people in to help with the 3 more walk ins that came after me so I appreciated the fact they tried. After about 35 minutes of waiting I met Rhada. (I was the 3rd in line) Even though it was busy I have to say she was worth waiting for. Knowing there were 3 other clients waiting after me she took her time with my eyebrows and did an excellent job. I was very happy with them and her service. It only cost $7 which was cheaper than I usually spend so she appreciated the $13 tip I gave her as she deserved it. I would come back and recommend to anyone. read more

My friend recommended me to Amita's beauty salon so I came here today for the first time. I have never gotten my eyebrows threaded before so I was a bit nervous but Jenny made me feel more than comfortable. The process wasn't painful at all and my eyebrows look so much better than any time I've ever gotten them waxed! It's only $7 to get your eyebrows done!! How can you beat that?! I will definitely be coming back here on a biweekly basis to see Jenny for my eyebrow threading! And once Jenny was done with my eyebrows, her coworker Radha came over and started massaging my face. I loved my experience at Amitas! I've wanted to get a henna tattoo for the longest time and finally found this place. I was able to walk in on Saturday afternoon and get started immediately (with no wait). I showed the person doing my henna a picture of what I wanted and she was able to replicate it free hand in less than 5 minutes. She gave me good tips on how to make it last long, and she, along with the other staff, were friendly. I got a somewhat intricate design on my forearm and it was only $10! I've had my eyebrows threaded by Amita for almost 15 years. Her salon doesn't have a large staff but the waiting is never long. I love the way my eyebrows look after each thread and she always takes direction if I want to change something. My only complain is that there's too much talking while performing the service, and unfortunately recently I got spit on my face too which I was upset about. However, if this happens again, I feel comfortable to tell her this is an issue. The prices are very reasonable compared to any other place I've been. If you let the owner do your eyebrows BEWARE. I asked for a clean up and she thinned them out and left a bald spot. She tried to justify what she did as i was there i was so upset i colored them in with a pencil she said i should have had them colored in before I came in so it had a shape. What? All I asked her for was a clean up. Not thin them out & a bald spot special. She destroyed everything i worked for for months. Now I have to start from scratch to grow them out again. Went here yesterday to get my eyebrows done and it came out great! I got here around 6:45pm and they close at 7pm on the dot. I don't think they were happy that I got there around that time, so everything seemed a bit rushed. Eyebrow threading here cost $7 and they have a minimum of $20 to use credit cards. My Groupon deal would be expired today so I called them around noon today to make an appointment. I asked them if I could come at 6:30pm and they said yes but called them if I could come earlier. I was able to come earlier so I called them around 4pm. They asked if I had a Groupon so I said yes and they told me that they would not accept it this week. I told them my Groupon will be expired today so I need to use it today and you accepted my appointment earlier. They told me that I need to compline to Groupon to refund or extension. I told them if that is how you treat the customer, I do not want to go anyway. And they told me that they do not care if I can come or not but they will not accept the Groupon. This is ridiculous. This is a place that should provide SERVICE and nice environment. Do you really want to go somewhere like this one to get your Brazilian wax?
