    False advertising: They told us it'd be two guys and a cube van, but when they showed up they were…read moreactually THREE guys and a cube van! Yahoo! So Josh and his two colleagues phoned us on our moving day to tell us they were running ahead of schedule, and if we wanted them to come a bit earlier they could. What a pleasant surprise! Our old apartment was in the kind of sketch part of Vanier, and Josh & co took good care to make sure none of our stuff got jacked while they were moving it in. And hot damn, they were efficient! They loaded all of our stuff in like half an hour tops. When we got to our new place, the guys were equally as efficient, despite the fact that we had a lot of going up and down stairs to deal with. They never nicked the walls, and damaged nothing. They were just friendly, quick, efficient, and overall delightful. Did I mention they were inexpensive? We ended up tipping the guys twice as much as we had budgeted for because we were just so happy with them. I pray we don't have to move again for a long time, but if we do, I know we'll be calling these guys again. We would highly recommend Two Guys and a Cube Van to anyone!

This is a family business who take pride in their work and really care about the customers they serve. In the midst of all this Covid 19 stuff Movers were deemed essential and they showed up on time as promised and worked their butts off to get us loaded and ready to go. They supplied 4 free wardrobe cases for my closets and after I emptied them at the other end they took them away. The guys were energetic and worked really hard all day long. They seemed to never run out of energy and they never said no to anything we asked them to do. This is the second time I've used Adams. My move into the house I just left was done by them in 2013 and they did such a great job I could not think of anyone else I would trust more when it came to this move. This is my retirement move so likely the last time I'll need their services but I highly recommend them to others. The price was certainly right and they even gave me a 5% Seniors discount.

When the movers arrived, we were not fully packed. The crew jumped right in, they came with additional boxes on the truck and helped pack what was remaining. This was a very difficult emotional time for us - especially my mother - and Adam and his crew were very courteous, patient and respectful. They were more efficient than I could have imagined and a very trying day for us was made that much easier by not having to worry. The move went without a hitch and not a single scratch! I was so impressed by the exceptional service, I hired Adam's again for my move. They surpassed my expectations and the job went quickly, efficiently and seamlessly.     We had a great experience with Marc and his team. I…read moreidentified 3 well rated moving companies and contacted them. One did not respond at all. The second one wanted me to provide a detailed list of items to move - instead of coming to see us and providing a quote. And the third one - Top Notch (Marc the owner) - contacted us quickly and setup a day/time to come and talk to us, and assess clearly what needed doing. Marc showed up and I liked his honest approach immediately. He was very upfront, took notice of special items, asked many questions and told us, with great sincerity, how great his team was. I knew from that meeting that I would go with Marc. Moving day came - and - due to pretty severe illness 1 week prior to our move - we were behind on our packing. Marc and his team were wonderful and got us moved regardless. His team was fabulous: friendly, happy, fast, efficient, and careful. We really enjoyed dealing with them. I had a number of precious pieces of furniture that they were very aware of and very careful with. (Note: I had gotten appraisals and purchased insurance via Top Notch for these items and this is an important step, as the standard move insurance is by the pound and will not come close to covering actual replacement costs for anything of any value.) It was all moved without incident. I enjoyed listening/watching them work. They worked/communicated as a team, and moved with quiet efficiency. The movers showed up on time ,were very pleasant and knew exactly what they were doing. By that I mean ALL of them were expert. This wasn't a case of a couple of well trained people directing amateurs as is often the case. Each one of them were expert and very impressive.     AVOID, AVOID, - Long but worth the read. Good reviews mean nothing if you're not taken care of when…read morethings go wrong. I liked my contact in the office and went with my gut. July 10th, our move started well -- the team inspected all the walls both before loading and at the new house before unloading. Good start but unfortunately, went downhill. The move took as long as our move from Montreal two years earlier, including a 2 1/2-hour drive. This move was a 5 minute drive from where we were living. It became clear that our antique furniture was mishandled: My buffet was gouged and a piece broken off the back. The roller ball from an antique table leg fell off and was lost. I asked them to check the truck; the response was "It's dark." I asked them to let me know the next day -- never heard back. My husband's desk had a piece broken off. Too many things to list. Several other items were broken. Boxes were well-labeled, but mostly ignored. Here's where some of them ended up: Cutlery box office upstairs Pantry items furnace room Fancy glasses upstairs hallway Bathroom box office upstairs Master closet items office upstairs Office supplies kitchen counter Living room décor upstairs office cupboard Bedroom furnace room When I couldn't find my cutlery box and asked the team leader for help, he literally said: "Nope, it's late. We're done. Deal with the office." That summed up the attitude perfectly. I still tipped them and said it would have been more. Some boxes weren't found for a long time. One of the movers even said, "It was a bad day." -- It added so much stress especially that boxes couldn't be located. One imoportant box labelled Bedroom wasn't found for over 3 days. It was finally found in the furnace room behind a table that the box wasn't visible. The Aftermath I followed the office's request and sent a detailed email with pictures, copied many people. Then... silence. July 23 - I asked if they could check for a missing box. No response. September - told they'd send someone assess the furniture repair,and did but then nothing. By then, I had already followed my bank's advice after being refused asking to a partial paymenht, submitted all documentation, and they agreed I was justified -- so the payment was reversed. That finally got the company's attention. When they contacted me in November they said they couldn't resolve anything "until payment was made." I told them I would love to pay my but no one had gotten in touch to actually resolve anything or answer questions.. That was the last straw and I spoke with an owner, who was shocked by the breakdown in communication. and other things that happened. He reduced the bill by $300 and sent someone to repair the furniture. They were also supposed to: Install a new roller ball on my table which I supplied btw. Steam clean the upholstered part of my slat bed and realign it. Assess wall chips left by the movers and repair. Arranged for movers to come do this. But it was never clear who was responsible for what.bThe steam cleaning wasn't done by them nor the person who came to assess the wall. One mover even commented he "has bad days all the time." I told him: That's not what customers want to hear.It was arranged for 10:30 and got texted before 8:00 they were on the way. I re-arranged the time again. When I relayed that to the owner, he suddenly decided to cut off communication, even after emailing asking him to call. He claimed the wall and mattress issues "weren't move-related. even after our discussion" They sent $100 and stopped responding completely. All businesses have problems and it's all how it's solved that the story gets told. Final Thoughts This whole experience has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Many details are left out, but in short -- the lack of responsibility, poor communication, and dismissive customer service were unacceptable. Please, avoid this company

They made everything go smoothly, they were thoughtful and helpful and it was our best move yet with Boyd's!
