In our initial messages with the owner, she highlighted the fact that her company had insurance, which was something that most companies do not tell their clients and urged me to book with her for that very reason. Who would have known that we would actually need to take into consideration her insurance policy when an item in our home was broken. Here's a rundown of everything that happened. * The cleaner Asked if she could bring her kids * Used our vacuum instead of using her own * Broke the vacuum while using * Offered to only pay for half of the vacuum instead of buying another one * Offered to bring her vacuum for us to use until the replacement came but never brought it * Promised a delivery date of the replacement vacuum multiple times and missed the deadline multiple times without responding * Purchased a used, open box, beat up vacuum that was missing screws and ultra dusty. The box was so badly damaged, she was scared to deliver it in person. * The owner of the business handled the situation very poorly. For example, she never checked in to see if there was a resolution after the initial complaint and she received full payment. She told us in private that the cleaner should just cash app us because insurance would be too big of a hassle. She sent us a chatgpt response and forgot to take the cues out . Then after weeks of getting the runaround from the subcontractor about the replacement vacuum and no check in from the owner, we submitted a review on thumbtack detailing our experience. The owner finally texts us, lacking empathy and customer service out of nowhere saying she was in and out of the hospital. She began minimizing our complaint and accuses us of taking advantage of the situation when we gave her all of her money and got the runaround for over 2 weeks. We responded saying we were willing to update the review if she could assist us with getting the replacement vacuum. No response from her. Then she responds on the website a few days later saying she is being harassed and that we are unreasonable which clearly is not the case. After a resolution was unable to be reached on thumbtack, and the piss poor vacuum was sent to our home via an Uber courier, the owner blocked us. For the amount of money spent, no one should go through this. If yelp allowed zero stars, trust me that is what she would receive.
