Clean train station depot, friendly employees and an easy on/off train experience. The antique steam engine and the two statues on the right side of the station building(with your back to the tracks, they are on the right side of the building) are great to checkout and stretch your legs for a bit. Amtrak is the worst shit ever I will never ride this shit again to many stops for freight trains they need to get there own tracks this is totally ridiculous 8 hrs delay without wi fi and the food is terrible. read more

This is the 2nd trip we have taken with Amtrak. This one was slightly longer from Chicago to Seattle. While yes we were expecting our sleeper car to be tight and lacking in space, Amtrak could do a better job of setting up their sleeper cars to have more storage. The area where the chair sits needs to have shelves installed above it on two sides and storage needs to be made available under the bottom bed. On this trip our Porter, Craig, couldn't have been more attentive. The food was very good but the wait staff, the two women were constantly complaining about their jobs and how busy they were, Donna & Jeanette. The store where you can buy snacks, water and soda was ridiculously priced, come on $2.25 for a can of soda. Amtrak you may offer a much needed service but that doesn't give you the right to gouge people. read more
