Less than 4 months before the wedding! Oh, yeah, I was in a bind! We had the event at a remote venue in Verde Valley and they helped us plan exactly what we wanted. THEY LISTEN!!! They do what you want, how you want it and when you want it. They're flexible when things happen or change and work together as a team. The team consists of the creative and the organized. A perfect combination to get you the perfect event. The fee was reasonable and we were able to relax and enjoy our day. The fact that it was all inclusive for planning, cake, photography, and decorating made it easier than working with separate entities for each. They negotiated with other outside vendors for us as well, and that was a true blessing. They offered to do more and, had we more time before we hired them, I would have had them do my bachelorette party and the rehearsal dinner too. Things always go wrong at an event like this, but they handled it with professionalism and discretion. To be honest, I didn't even know about it and it did not impact our day at all. And now they are doing the follow-up - a debriefing if you will. We get to go over everything, make recommendations, and, be sure all the after-wedding details are done. Would I recommend them? Yes. Would I recommend them to close family and friends? Yes. Can you afford them? Do whatever you have to do - they are worth every dollar and every minute of NOT having to stress about the biggest day of your life. We needed a day of coordinator but what we got was so much more. My fiance (now husband) and I thought we had everything taken care of with the exception of the final details. We had already booked the DJ, hair & makeup, the venue, had our invitations sent out.... what more was there to do??? How little we knew.... Alexa's organization and expertise blew us away. We filled out a number of online surveys so that she could make sure that she had every last detail taken care of. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, to the order that our family members would walk down the aisle, to who we wanted photos with (and who we didn't), toast speeches, what songs we wanted played and when, EVERYTHING was addressed and on the day of our wedding, she made sure that neither one of us had to worry about a thing. She attended so many of our meetings with our venue (even though we had a coordinator at the venue) and had an answer for us every time a minor dilemma or problem surfaced. Alexa also provided a number of helpful suggestions for seating charts, cards, first dance moment, re-use of floral arrangements to save money and so much more. I could tell you about how intuitive she is or how quick she was to respond (which is probably my biggest pet peeve when working with people). Or how on my wedding day, she was invaluable and handled everything with class, ease and a level of professionalism that is rarely seen. I had a vision for what I wanted the florals to look like for my wedding. Before meeting with Julie, I met with at least 5 florists. I very clear in expressing my ideas. All of the florists took over two weeks send me the proposal. They quoted me by the flower--each flower costing a certain amount which always ended up being wayyyy over my budget. When they finally sent me the proposal it was nothing like I pictured. When I would ask them to revise it, they would either tell me what I was asking for couldn't be done or they wouldn't even respond to me. ALL of that changed when I met Julie. I contacted her and she responded almost immediately. She asked me to send her pictures of ideas I had. By the time of our first meeting she already understood my style and had even more suggestions for me that were beautiful! She had the proposal done the same day and worked within my budget. She doesn't stem count so I got more flowers than in any of the other proposals for much, much cheaper. She even custom made one of my centerpieces. She has such a fantastic eye and is so experienced that she made everything more beautiful then I even thought possible! But Julie is so much more than a florist! Even though she wasn't my wedding planner (I already had one by the time I met Julie) she treated me like I was one of her brides. She constantly checked on me. When I had an issue with anything for my wedding, she went out of her way to find a solution. She was with me every step of the way and she made me feel so special and truly made my wedding planning process stress free. She is the best! I am SO thankful I found Julie. Disorganized. Unprofessional . Careless…read more I was referred to Stephanie by another wedding planner who does larger budget weddings. She suggested that I contact Stephanie a.k.a. "The B Team" for our wedding. When I contacted Stephanie she sounded sweet and she seemed to understand just what I wanted: bridal, romantic, traditional. This is my first and only wedding and it seemed like things were going to go well with Stephanie. Initially, her fee was low but at two critical moments in the wedding planning Stephanie called me demanding that I give her more money so that she can complete the negotiations. It was always a crisis, and she needed money within 24 hours, or my wedding planning would not be complete. I found out later that these vendors asked to speak with me directly and Stephanie refused to give them my contact information. She told me that she was the only one who could negotiate these deals and that I needed to pay her more for it...twice! Stephanie charged us almost $4,000 for our flowers, and ordered the wrong centerpieces!!! Stephanie did not have the courage to come tell me about her mistake, instead I walked in to my wedding reception and found thousands of dollars in flowers that I didn't order. I have been informed that this large Phoenix based florist will no longer be working with Stephanie in the future due to her disorganization, and lack of professionalism. Stephanie was responsible for handing out corsages and boutonnieres to important members of my family, she had a list of these people emailed to her weeks before the wedding. Instead of checking the list on the wedding day she simply gave them to the wrong people and let me know, "oh well, I just gave it to so-and-so". Oh well?! Stephanie also ruined our guest book, charged us for a headpiece for the flower girl that she never gave to the flower girl ... I can go on and on. What is the point of having a wedding planner if they are going to make these kinds of mistakes? I won't go in to the lack of integrity that she has in negotiating her fee, I will mention that one of her vendors called her "shady". This means that if you choose to work with Stephanie, some of the best vendors will not be available to you because they will not work with her. Buyer beware!!
