This facility runs on a shoestring budget. They advertise that their caretakers provide activities to their clients. Not True. The food provided is marginal at best. Half the caretakers are Jamaicans and show a disregard for caucasian patients. The owners make promises that are nothing but simple BS. People are being moved from facility to facility without families being notified. Deena and Bruce the Managers are money hungry greedy individuals. They overcharge and provide marginal services. They will probably face several lawsuits because of their ongoing false statements and lousy care. read more

It has taken me over a year to be able to write this review. During our interview process Deena of Amy's Eden assured our family over & over that this was the place for dad and that the staff was extremely well trained and he would be very well cared for. The home was bright, airy and very clean. My dad lived there for 10 days. On the 10th day he had to be transported to the hospital where he died 4 days later. In his time at Amy's Eden he was overdosed twice. Once due to hospice that we were told we had to use, not by Amy's Eden. Once because the Any's Eden caregiver did not know how to read or fill out the medication log. My step-mom, sister and myself spent the first 7 days at Amy's to help make sure dad was settled and this was the right place for him. In those 7 days we essentially did the job of the caregiver day and night while trying to work with a new hospice regarding medications. On his last Friday a caregiver said it was time to let them do their job and care for him. For $20,000 we sure thought so. We checked in via phone on Sat and Sun and were assured all was well. They claimed he was taking his medications, eating and overall settling in. To say we were beyond thrilled is an understatment. During our visit on Monday we had to immediately call in the hospice nurse who had us transport to the hospital. He was covered in bruises, there was a hole in the wall and they were feeding him food while he was almost completely incoherent. My dad died of aspiration pneumonia complicated by COVID 4 days later. More than one staff member was positive for COVID while being at the house, with no mask, interacting with other staff and the 2 residents. 10 days for $20,000 and no consequences for their actions. Amy's Eden really knows what to say to take advantage of families during a most vulnerable time. If you are looking for a very expensive and quick end to your loved one's life Amy's Eden is the place for you. read more

I placed my husband at Amy's Eden Senior Care, March 13, 2025 and paid first and last month's rent. Sadly, my husband passed away 3 weeks after arriving. I have been trying (since April 20/25) to get a refund of over $10,000 for the last month's rent. Amy's Eden is a family owned business, Deena was the person to get in touch with. My aunt is in one of their assisted living home in Carson City, NV. She and her daughter is happy about their service except staff is bit strict on visitors. They may consider safety of their clients but their beloved people always make them happy. Other than that , Assisted living is great and comfortable and luxurious homes worth for money. read more

Amy's Eden Senior Care has been a fantastic place for my dad. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, and the facility feels more like a cozy home than a senior center. Dad enjoys his life in Amy's Eden assisted living home beautifully kept garden. We've seen such a positive change in him since he moved in. My mother in law was placed in one of their facilities approx 2.5 years ago. She did not even stay there a week. We pulled her and took her home. She was given medication that she should not have gotten and it caused her to fall. I have been trying to get a refund for the past 2.5 years and all I get is it has been sent to the book keeper. They will gladly take your money, but if your family dies, they will not follow the contract, refund any money owed to you. They claim to not have received any communications or other excuses. DON"T USE THIS PROVIDER! Instead use "Comfort Keepers" a much more ethical business practices company. I want to WARN others about this business and their policies. They require upfront payment for services and in my case my mother passed away after 2 days of service. They collected 24 days of service upfront and their 20 page contract states that a "2-week notice is considered services rendered" which I missed; my fault. Don't make this mistake in paying for upfront services. I emailed Amy's Eden, Called multiple times and they were non-responsive for 30 days. They were impossible to get a response from! Phone number disconnecting your call, voicemails not returned, emails not returned. I finally stopped into the office and they explained the contract stipulation which I missed at a time of need and needing service. I believe they only were going to respond since I filed a complaint with the BBB, Nevada Attorney General and Nevada Dept. of Health and Human Services Bureau. Three avenues if you have a similar issue. What bothers me most is since my mother was on hospice I asked the office manager what should happen if my mother should pass and was told I would get a refund. Never mind not mentioning they require a 2 week cancellation notice. Comfort Keepers on the other hand has a pay as you go service which is much more ethical and we also used them. They were excellent to work with and I highly recommend them. DO NOT USE AMY'S EDEN! - If you do you know that if your loved one passes they come first not you the customer. Beware of the cancelation policy and terms of service carefully before making a mistake. It's a shame how is someone to know when they will pass? This business should be shutdown! BEWARE. Please read! My sister was battling breast cancer and decided she needed help with her aging husband. She paid ahead to Amy's Eden Senior Care. The help was friendly but had no experience. She decided to change the hours from 8 to 4 hour for the last two shift. Also decided to terminate after the these two shifts. She followed the contract and gave the two weeks notice. She was owed a substantial refund. She contacted them but after two months, she was finally given about one third what she was owed. Given all the stress she was facing, I stepped in to help get her get the balance owed. I made several phone calls and never received a phone call back. This went on for two weeks. I finally sent a registered mail demanding what she was owed as per small claims legal requirements. The demand letter stated payment was due within two weeks or we would proceed to court. The registered US mail cost ~$10 ( which should not have been necessary had Amy's Eden Senior Care behaved ethically). I continued to reach out to them to resolve the issue but never heard a word back from Amy Smith, owner, or Deena Andrade, legal agent. After 13 days, my sister finally received her money. Shame on Amy's Eden Senior Care for adding stress to a woman under going cancer treatment. This behavior is dispicable! read more

I negotiated a price for the master suite in December 2021 for a good friend. They wanted $8,900 per month for the room. I was able to get it for $7,500. That was all we could afford. Five months later they raised the rent $600. So now it's $8,100 per month. Out of reach if my friend still wants to take her medication, one of which is $497 per month. They said they were losing money for that room. There are only two residents in this four bedroom house. Not knowing what the other resident pays but guessing around $7,500 also. They do have someone there 24 hours, but they are allowed to sleep at night. The meals basically consist of a lot of frozen pizza, chicken tenders, fries, salads, and other frozen meal. My friend also had a lot of UTIs, rashes under her breasts and inner thighs while there. They have a lot of bosses but very few caregivers. Our caregiver worked Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day. If the relief did not show up for her days off, too bad she had to stay. They have an "activities director," but the only activities consist of getting out of bed, moving to the living room, and watching tv until bedtime. The activities director was not there often. It was a frustrating experience and I have now had to move my friend to another group home. She has dementia and change is very difficult for her. I would never recommend Amy's Eden to anyone who needs a residential care home. read more

Very poor care for the elderly that cannot defend themselves. Nice talk but they don't deliver what they say. My husband was scheduled to move in on a Saturday - no med sheet, no bed alarm. Caregiver knew nothing about him. He got up on his own the first couple nights because the caregiver slept right thru him calling. Caregiver worked 5 days 24 hrs. She asked me if I could stay with the 2 clients while she went to Walmart. I pulled my husband out quickly. They don't return any money. No ethics or morals. The excuse the mgr gave for not having things arranged on my husband's arrival was that she was tired. They are in some sort of financial difficulties & reorganizing. Beware of a wolf by another name. The owners live in Missouri! We are not alone with pulling our spouses out immediately. They are predators only interested in the money. Be very careful who you put your loved one's care with. I found a wonderful place that cares & treats my husband with love. There are plenty others that are a lot cheaper & do such a better job. read more

We had to transition our mother from her home to a home with a caretaker 24/7. She's had some pretty severe health bouts along with hospital and rehabs so many times in the last 2 1/2 years we have lost count.. it's taking a huge toll on her on her health and she won't recover in some aspects, let alone be able to take care of herself and her house at the same time for she lived alone. Everybody at Amy's Eden has welcomed us and treated us like family, very patient with our emotional state and most of all our mothers, within 2 days her blood pressure was extremely lower, she is at ease, she looks great, stress level much lower, no long scared for she is never alone, She has been there 3 months and no trips to the hospital that is amazing right there, she's even putting their address as hers on her outgoing mail, that might not seem like a big deal but it is for anybody who has done this before as we have with grandparents. Don't get me wrong it's been extremely taxing and difficult for her but she's came to accept this life transition and she's stronger and healthier then she has been in a long long time and so very grateful. She is thriving there and the goal is to get her into a independent facility or semi assistant living place but It looks like she's gonna be happy right where she is. She's letting somebody take care of her it's a beautiful thing to watch considering before her whole day consisted of a check sheet with just a few goals... getting out of bed, getting showered, getting to the kitchen to eat, to couch, not falling, and not forgetting to take her meds that's about all she could accomplish in a day and on a good day a load of laundry. She was a prisoner in her own home and so was I and her boyfriend..for I was running two households and taking care of her too. Now she has a much better quality of life and she's so relieved not having to rely on me and her boyfriend for everything, as a mother her guilt in that was huge. I hope this helps the family of somebody that's transitioning or the party that needs to transition..for us we had to change our way of thinking, it's all about state of mind, acceptance and a willingness to let go. My father-in-law was a resident here for several months up until his unexpected death late last month (March). We were not able to visit other than FaceTime calls due to Covid, but he seemed to be well taken care of and content. Today, his son received a bill in the mail for the month of April ($6,750) for 27 days at $250 per day AFTER his death. We have barely had time to grieve. Be wary before you sign a contract.
