You can tell that great care is taken by curating the collection, especially in the children's book and Canadian/PEI history sections. I found a delightful "Winnie The Pooh" book from the 50's that was very fairly priced for its condition and age. They're not priced to move - the books here are priced aggressively, and rightly so! It's a town where many a tourist passes through, ready to spend their money. I was all too happy to help stimulate the local economy and bring home to NYC a book I'll treasure for years to come.

They also have a wide selection of new magazines, plus a few tables of new books. The cafe looked decent, although I didn't order anything so I can't comment on the quality of the food. The espresso machine was nothing fancy, but looked like it could make a good espresso drink (not like some of them I've seen/bought from that seem more like regular coffee makers disguised as espresso machines). I voted "not wheelchair accessible" since, while the door is accessible, the shelves are way too close together to navigate a chair through.

You will most likely need the help of an employee to find specific items because the store can be overwhelming. The items are sold at market value. If you are a collector, give them a shot. It might surprise you.

All in the same size store. It is chaos. And it's awesome. I'm always on the search for a specific issue of a comic I read in the 80s that I need to complete my collection (boy, does that sound geeky). So of course we had to stop in here. There is very little room for people. It's floor-to-ceiling books, comics, trading cards, games, etc. They have absolutely everything, but good luck finding it. Boxes on top of boxes of comics in sort-of order. Fortunately the owner knows where everything is. He's a very busy man, from the looks of it; the store was very busy on our visit, and it was a Tuesday. If you love digging (literally) through mountains of media in search of a hidden jewel, you will absolutely love this place. Definitely worth a drive to the valley.

Chapters is very similar to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers chain in the USA, most locations there offering Starbucks too. This Chapters store is pretty well organized and offers a great selection of books, literature, guides, and magazines, plus a limited selection of music & movies, games, cards, house warming gifts, candles, and soaps. There are also discount book tables too, plenty of kids books and hockey history books. I like the selection of local history books of New Brunswick and the Maritimes here. As a shopper from the USA, I immediately notice many titles in stock have two prices: US and Canada (higher). Those titles I'll only browse, make notes, and wait until I get back to the states for the lower prices and sales taxes. If I absolutely wanted the book immediately and couldn't wait, then I would suck it up and buy it. Nonetheless, I can enjoy my favourite Starbucks drink while reading a good book or magazine.
