Without singling me out, they have made me feel welcome. I love the 101 classes but I've also found that some of the other classes are totally doable as well.These classes are the first few classes I've ever taken, and I will say that the instructors are very good at what they do. Even though they are totally amazing and super limber I am still able to find the pose and make progress. I feel like I'm personally getting something out of it and nobody else cares. Each instructor has their own slight take, and I find it fascinating to take different classes with different people. It's amazing to see the dedication and "tallent" flow in different ways, but the same at the same time. I don't feel nervous anymore In fact it's the opposite everybody including the patrons, seem to be welcoming and encouraging and I feel encouraged. I love the stretching and the balance. The space is brand new and very clean. My friend mentioned that not all yoga studios, have music, and I will say that the music keeps the pace. I have several friends who do the hot yoga and absolutely love it. I don't think that's for me as I always think everything is too hot. If you're looking to try yoga or you've been doing yoga, I would really suggest checking out YogaSix. I even found myself doing some yoga at home in between the days that I don't get into the studio but I really like the space at the studio. YogaSix is easily five stars for me.

I lovingly think of these people as "Yoga-nuts." I found Hummingbird almost accidentally when a friend posted about their massage services. Hm, hadn't heard of this place. Oooh! They have Sunday morning meditation! Drop in! So I donned my baggy sweats, put on my most comfortable tie-dye shirt and headed down there to check it out, slightly nervous about the whole yoga-nut crowd. Hummingbird is lovely, a comfortable, serene space and Linda is as down to earth as it gets. She is not perfect, and she is one with her not perfectness, and she is happy to have you on the journey with her. Meditation with her is peaceful and enriching. I called the studio to cancel and the front desk answered with "hello," then hung up while I was in the middle of speaking. When I called back and explained that I had just been on the line, I was told there was "no reason to be unkind," even though I was simply explaining what had happened and repeating my request. When I asked how to cancel my HOTWORX membership, I was told it had to be done online or in person, but no instructions or link were provided when I asked where to go online. Questions about when management would be available also weren't clearly answered. After being a paying member for over a year and a half, the front desk interaction felt cold, rude, and dismissive. Because of the customer service alone, I cancelled my membership and will not reconsider returning. I have also reached out to management directly regarding this experience. Unfortunately, based on how this situation was handled, I would not recommend this HOTWORX location.
