I popped in here for some lunch yesterday and wish I had not bothered and just had a sandwich instead.
As a pub the place is very nice inside. Just the usual beer you can get in any pub so nothing for a beer lover to travel for however it is a very comfortable pub.
The real problem was the food I thought. Now it was just a carvery but as a carvery goes it was pretty rubbish. The vegetables were dry and there was some sort of creamed/cheese potato dish that smelled like it came from a bin and did not taste much better. I have no idea what they put on it to make it like that but it ruined the dinner. The bacon itself was quite nice though.
Don't let my one bad carvery experience put you off though, like I said its a nice place so worth stopping at. read more
