Perfect spot to drop by for a pint and good food. We came for lunch before going to the National Gallery across the street. Food and drinks came out fast with great service.

Vegetable soup with beautiful brown bread. Excellent.

My only regret eating at Lincoln's Inn was that I wasn't hungrier! I ended up having a pureed vegetable soup that came with a side of Guinness bread, and both were excellent! A huge win was asking our server for recommendation of a light lager and she introduced me to Rockshore, which became my go-to for the next two weeks. I was there with a group and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. Good, solid, Irish comfort food. Save room for dessert -- folks ordered a range of things, but a friend and I shared the chocolate cake. It looked far richer than it was, which was a good thing -- it was light, but super flavorful. The location is great -- nearby museums, the park, shops, etc. Recommend it for a great lunch spot.

This has to be one of the best places to start a trip to Ireland. The food was delicious and the ambience was nice. It was very crowded so the service took a bit of a time. Make sure that you get to water so that you're not waiting for another one. Better yet get yourself a beer.

Steak pie, chips, salad, and chicken salad on soda bread. Perfection.

Midway through a tour of the UK and Ireland, we popped into this space on a whim - and we were rewarded! The Guinness is creamy, the steak pie melted in our mouths, the fish and chips divine. Even the pickiest eater in our group was thrilled with the chicken strips - "the best I've ever had." Plus the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We've been to a lot of places in the past week from London to Glasgow to Edinburgh to Bradford to Belfast - and this little pub has them all beat. Do yourself a favor and come in!!

Jess made our last night in Dublin so special. She was engaging and friendly, just like most people in Ireland. The ambience was pure Irish pub. People on the sidewalk drinking their pints and smoking while chatting away. Inside there was a mix of locals and tourists. Although on Thursday evening we were the lonely ones. We started with the smoked salmon appetizer. It did not disappoint. A very generous portion for 12€. Good soda bread with it. Next we had the fish and chips as well as the Irish stew. Both were really good. My vote was for the fish however. It was very light and crunchy extremely fresh. Good chips. My wife enjoyed the stew. Loaded with fresh cut veg and potatoes. Loads of good Irish lamb. We finished it off with a sticky toffee pudding. Yummy. We stuck around for the music at about 9ish. Two guys and a lady. One playing the guitar one on the squeeze box and she was playing the recorder. They were just sitting around the table playing. So much fun. Overall a really entertaining night

I had the Seafood Chowder, it was silky smooth and delicious with the lightly smoked White Fish. My daughter had the Irish Stew, I tried it, it wasn't what I was expecting. Much lighter than American Beef Stew but, still very delicious.

One of the friendliest pubs we've been to while in Dublin! Which is saying a lot because most places are nice. The food and service is top notch. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Say hi to Jess if she is working. She's an amazing bartender!

    The best vibes in Dublin

Hands down our favorite place we've gone in Dublin. The food is amazing and Jess is even better. I don't even wanna go home.

This bar was the best afternoon stop post-gallery visit. We popped in to enjoy a few pints of Guinness. The staff was friendly and the bar was lovely.

A group of us wandered down the dark alley one Sunday afternoon, a little anxious about what we might discover... Pleasantly surprised to find ourselves inside a Sleeping Beauty-like cavern of candlelit wonder, we stopped to marvel over the interior before giving the solitary bar man his rush of the century. The place was empty before we arrived, but luckily we'd brought a large enough group to make the entire place our own. The candelabras, mood lighting and high, domed ceilings make this place enchantingly atmospheric, but let's not forget the practicalities. Recipe for a good night with a large group: large tables - check, cheap beer (3.40 a pint!!!) - check, pool table - check... Ok this place is a winner. And get this - they even have a foozeball table! Rad! The toilets are definitely worth a gander... many, many mirrors, and easy to get lost in after a few pints of the dark stuff. Me and 1 of my friends decided to order some cocktails so we went to the bar to see what we could get I ordered a mojito and a White Russian for my friend. I should have known it would be a disaster when the female bartender had to as the waitress how to make it needless to say it was not very good. After a while my friend decided to get one more round before we left. Well to say we were shocked is an understatement. When the waitress came over she went to order a drink to which the response was cant you see I'm busy what's wrong with you going to the bar, as she turned and walked away and went back to the bar to chat with another member of staff. The girl that had been looking after us earlier I think had finished which was a shame. Needless to say we didn't stay for another drink. This would put me off going back I could understand if it was busy but service like this is not acceptable

The Wind Jammer is not, however, one of the really fun early houses. For fun early houses that serve already somewhat inebriated people, try The Chancery. The Wind Jammer is the type of early house that caters to shift workers and Gardaí from Pearse St coming off the night shift. Apart from a few couples the morning after the Trinity Ball, they wouldn't let in too many post-club revellers. The door is closed most early mornings, and they have a CCTV camera to give ya a good hard scrutinising before they'll let you in. The only time I was there for early pints, there was only one other group of young lads there and the barman looked like he was about to stop serving them. During the rest of the day and night, the Wind Jammer is a quiet pub frequented mainly by old, grumpy locals, who would sooner bite your head off than ask you the time of day. If you're really desperate for a drink and can't make it til half ten when the rest of the pubs open, by all means go to The Wind Jammer. Otherwise, there isn't that much else to recommend to it. Oh, one other thing. The Wind Jammer is the closest pub to Windmll Lane Studios, so U2 and The Saw Doctors among others have retired there for post-recording session pints over the years. Not the type of thing that would interest me, but sure it might interest you so I thought that I'd tack it on the end there
