I'm a retired public school teacher and I wanted to try to match the insurance I had in cA as a teacher. With his help I enrolled in a Medicare Supplemental plan with Anthem and then in a Medicare plan with a Humana prescription plan. This took into account my tiny budget and types of meds I use. I felt I had someone really experienced who accommodated my needs very thoughtfully and we got things done. I was amazed at how complex it is and Mr. Wood's throrough explanations even of how every part of Medicare works. He spent such a lot of time sorting it for me into understandable parts. Once we notified Coastal that we were planning to switch, they called numerous times but could never offer better pricing. Then they apparently refused to notify State Fund that we were switching to another insurer, resulting in us being double-billed by both old and new insurers, and FURTHER refusing to cooperate with us in dealing with State Fund to get a refund, being very snotty on the phone and effectively hanging up on our office manager. Do yourself a favor and avoid this broker.

He came to my house & I decided to go with Alignment Insurance. In October I received my new insurance card & I was unaware that my new insurance started October 1st. When my prescription delivery service notified me that my prescriptions were ready, but Humana was not my insurance anymore, I immediately called Tyler & asked him why he would start my insurance on October 1st, he said that this has never happened to him in 3 years & he will get Humana back for me. I would call & or text him so he didn't forget what he said he would do & each time he lied saying that its almost done. He lied to me one too many times, so I went online & wrote bad reviews, I did not want anyone else to use Tyler. Then I received a call from Jayson Cohen founder/CEO of American Legacy Solutions, after he saw the reviews he told me to send him all information & emails with Tyler & to write Re: RAPID DISENROLLMENT & he would make sure he would take care of it. He never did a thing & I never heard from him again. A week or so later I received a call from Kevin from same company wanting to help me. No way would I do business with this company. This is how bad it got. I was on Humana Giveback; I received $57 back to my Social Security check every month. November & December my checks were $57 less so that was a loss. I had appointments with my Nephrologist, Endocrinologist, PCP, Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, Dentist & I had to cancel all of them. I am a senior & these appointments were extremely important. I had no idea that Tyler would be the worst broker ever, so I had told my girlfriend to use him. She made an appointment with Tyler & she told him she wanted her coverage to start Nov 1st. She started getting worried as November got closer because she hadn't received any paperwork, so she called the new insurance & they had nothing on her. After my one accident, Irene and staff went to bat for us and not only got us high blue book payment for my totalled Toyota (within 9 days), they also got the other driver's insurance to reimburse our deductible. Just last night I received a notice that my long term care insurance premium was going up significantly (+$50 per month). Since this was the 1st increase since we purchased the policy in 2009, we really thought that we'd locked in a "no increase" policy. Since the rate increase was based out of California (where she wrote the policy), we emailed her about our recollection of the terms. She emailed us back immediately explaining the increase. DID I MENTION THAT THIS WAS ALMOST MIDNIGHT ON A MONDAY NIGHT? DID I MENTION THAT WE AREN'T EVEN HER CLIENT ANY LONGER? It didn't mitigate the sting of the increase, but at least our questions were answered and we weren't left to obsess about it until 09:00 today. We still have State Farm for our insurance needs, and our Washington agent is average (actually his *staf*f is average...I've only met the agent once in 6 years). Irene spoiled us, and hers is still the guidance we seek and trust. We'd been with her so long (even though she can no longer legally be our agent) that we think of her as family.
