My daughter received a gift certificate for a massage at MTTI. The certificate was purchased from…read morethe location on Alameda. Apparently that location got sold to a new owner and they're now in a new location on Main. When I called to schedule, they told me the old owner had to refund the certificate because the prices had gone up since their move to the new location. I asked if my daughter could just use the certificate and pay the difference which they agreed to. We get there for the last appointment of the day and the lady made a fuss about the use of the certificate even though I was already told she could. I wasn't taking no for an answer since we were already there and after much discussion, she finally took the certificate and my cash. The building is old and run down. There are no actual massage rooms, only curtains between the two therapy table "rooms" and "lobby". Therefore, you can hear every conversation and noise between them to include when others use the restroom facilities at the back of the building. The noise from traffic outside can also be heard fairly loudly from inside. Because my daughter is a minor, a parent had to stay in the facility while she got a massage. I was grateful for this because the worst part, towards the end of her massage some guy who was high as a kite comes in yelling and the entire place slowly starts to smell like marijuana. I thought it was just fumes on the guy but when we left it was dark and there were about 7 guys outside the back door smoking marijuana and eyeing us like we were a couple fresh snacks. I did not feel like this was the safest place and was concerned for the safety of my daughter, myself and the young lady giving my daughter's massage. The young lady who gave my daughter a massage (Eden?) did a good job and was very friendly (the one star is for her!) so I hope she finds a job somewhere better. We will not return and wouldn't recommend anyone else goes there. Terrible business practices, sketchy massage area and just plain shady!

They made recommendations that led to tangible positive gains in my daily life. I was really impressed that these are students; the second massage was literally the best I have ever paid for. The price is extremely fair as I have paid way more for far less. This place comes with my highest recommendation and in November if you refer a friend you get $10 off! So mention my name if this review swayed you :-)

This is a cosmetology school, so remember to be patient, as these stylists are still learning. For my wash, I was pleasantly greated by Karin. She took me back, put on the drape, and took me back to the wash bowl. At first, it seemed as though she was having a little trouble with the water temperature getting it adjusted properly. after the knobs started cooperating, everything was great. She gave me a thorough wash including getting the hairs at the base of my skull that many people miss. She had great pressure and my hair felt so clean when she was done. We then moved on to her station, where she went to work creating beautiful curls with just a round brush and a blow dryer. When I was done, I was able to get in to get a lower leg wax. I was pleasantly greeted by Marina, who took me back to get my lower legs waxed. She did a great job waxing my legs, only missed a little spot, but the hairs are really light and could easily be missed. This was the least painful leg wax She was sweet and did a good job. I was very pleased with the Karin and Marina. Both did a great job, I can't wait to go back for more services.

I attended the esthetics course and Monique Marquez is an absolute TERRIBLE instructor that…read moreretaliates if she doesn't like you by writing you up or giving you bad grades. She causes a lot of emotional disturbance within the class and creates division and isolation for the students she does not like. If you asks questions she takes it as if you're challenging her authority and becomes irate. She will instantly change her behavior and start talking down to you. She sexually harassed another student by touching her breasts and justifying that she had no ill intentions, Management was notified and nothing was done. Her teaching is absolutely horrendous, during daily theory she will rant off the subject matter and start lecturing her personal opinions. She has constant tantrums, Stomping her feet or screaming down the hall. She will try to intimidate you if you upset her and will stare at you and stand in front of you as if she's going to physically harm you. It's disappointing because the equipment provided is one of the best available in El Paso. If you do decide to attend maybe try the night class with Nilka. If you can't do nights 100% choose a different school. Monique won't teach you the proper way to use the equipment or product anyways.

I've have my daughter tried several ballet classes in town. This one is the best from my point of…read moreview. They have very big building, nice and clean dancing rooms. Teachers are very patient to the little ones. And they always have teaching assistants helping the little ones out. Highly recommend!

My daughter was enrolled at this ballet studio for nearly four years. We invested thousands of…read moredollars in tuition and performance tickets each year, and I volunteered hundreds of hours backstage--organizing the younger dancers, making last-minute costume repairs, and assisting with check-ins. I got along well with the backstage crew and never received a single complaint from any of them. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this studio due to the inconsistent and unprofessional leadership of owner Monique Foster and backstage manager Courtney. They show clear favoritism toward certain students while applying rules unevenly and aggressively toward others, creating an environment that was often unfair and hostile, especially for younger dancers. During our final production, my daughter was repeatedly singled out by Courtney with severe, aggressive reprimands over minor issues. I stayed close to my daughter to support and protect her backstage. Near the end, Courtney called me out in front of several other moms and gave an exaggerated account of an interaction she claimed she had with my daughter that day. I pointed out that both my daughter and Courtney's own daughter were behaving typically for their age--recounting the previous evening when I had had to ask her daughter multiple times to stop clapping and blocking the walkway. Monique intervened, became confrontational, and threatened to have me removed from "her" theater for "talking back." She then claimed she had received multiple complaints about me "doing things wrong," but when I asked for specific examples, she could provide none. She also didn't appear to know my name, which further undermined her accusations. The small amount of positive support we experienced in our first year at this studio faded over time. Interactions with Monique became increasingly harsh and unpredictable. My daughter, who once loved ballet, began dreading classes and frequently came home in tears. We've heard similar experiences from many other current and former families. While there are talented dancers and some wonderful people associated with the studio, the lack of consistent, fair, and age-appropriate guidance from the leadership makes this a poor choice for families seeking a supportive and safe environment for their children. We left after almost four years and are now much happier at a different studio.
