I called Comfort 1st on a Sunday and not only did they take my call on a Sunday, but they fit me in early morning the next day(there was rain in the forecast for the next few days). The technician that came out was knowledgeable and personable, and found that it was not a roof leak but a pvc pipe leak. I was not charged for the inspection, but was recommended some insulation work, based on what he saw. I will absolutely be using them for ANY work in the future. Do not recommend this company at all. We've had these solar panels now for three..three and a half…read moreyears. The only positive where the contracted company to install the solar panels themselves and the installers were cordial, kept us up-to-date and excellent at their craft. We have had zero rook leafs (we had a new roof put on immediately before our solar panel installation to ensure a long longevity for the roof and solar panels.). They do not call you back in a timely matter even when promised they will for a current customer. The salesman was so slick and tried to switch out the panels he initially sold us on until we caught it before signing the paperwork. I even called the solar panel manufactures myself and asked if they were being discontinued, nope they sure weren't, and when we called the salesman out on it, ge skirted aroubd the answer. And already we're having issue with a solar panel. Something that cost 32k should not be failing with a 20 year lifetime. And your electric bills will not be cheaper in the summer, even though there's abundant sun but your AC is working overtime to cool your house, and certainly not cheaper in the winter when there's less daylight hours. Extremely disappointed.

While he was there to provide the quote, he noticed the kitchen floor was really cold (he took off his shoes when he entered the house). He pulled out his thermal camera and we saw the floor was 30-40F! I had noticed that area of the kitchen was cold in winter, but didn't realize it was coming from the floor, where kitchen is cantilevered out past the foundation wall. He proposed insulating the cantilevered area with spray foam, and then said he could insulate all the rim joists in the basement for the same price. A week or so later, while he was onsite doing the insulating, I mentioned I was going to finish the basement later in the year, and expected to use 3 inch foam panels. He suggested using spray foam instead since that would give me a few inches more space in the room. He gave me a price and I said I'd think about it. As I thought about it, I realized getting a few more inches in the room, and also getting a better sealing product would be worth it, and would save me many hours of labor and a lot of material costs. In summer, I started work on the basement project, and once I had the framing up and electrical roughed in, I called (now July) to schedule the spray foam. Randy honored the price from January, scheduled the job quickly, and it looks great! Something I especially appreciate about Randy and Paragon is that the guy who quotes the job actually does the job; it's not some sales guy, it's the owner who quotes AND does the work! Because of that, any questions get answered and you know exactly who is accountable for quality and completion. I did get other quotes for the attic, and Paragon was very competitive. I really appreciated Randy's suggestions, and they did not feel like a sales pitch; it felt like I was getting good options to consider that would solve a problem I had.
