I called to get some information on having my side gate enlarged from a man gate to gate wide enough for my four wheeler to be able to store in the back yard. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was rude, dismissive and downright condescending. He quoted me without even coming out to look at the place $950. Dismissive time wasters. I called for an estimate for replacing a large gate at my home to better accommodate vehicles and improve access. Staff who came was prompt and courteous and said he would email me with an estimate shortly. I never heard from him or anyone again. After a month of leaving voicemails and getting no replies, I finally was able to speak with Don who essentially told me they weren't going to do an estimate for me and didn't plan to follow up with me because they weren't going to do the job. He then dismissively wished me "good luck." It is now august and I probably won't be able to find anyone to do it before winter. read more

Called and arranged services over two months ago for a relatively easy fence fix. Scheduled for three weeks out and agreed to put 50% down. 5 weeks later, we called for an update. We had to leave numerous messages before getting a response and then were told the following weekend they would be out. Two weeks later, we are still waiting. We called to follow up two more times. No response. We left a message letting them know we'd be cancelling their service and and they literally submitted the charge to our credit card the same day which we are now refuting and we still have not received a call back. Absolutely unacceptable service and lack of communication. We do not recommend. A contractor should be reliable, set a date, communicate appropriately and work to resolve any delays through proper follow up. read more

This company left behind large piles of dirt in my yard from the post holes, bits of trash and extra tools. I called to ask them if they typically leave the dirt behind or if they could haul it off for me. The person on the other end of the phone began to raise his voice and tell me that I should have read his d*mn contract, that they leave the dirt behind. The fence is good quality, but customer service left much to be desired. Is it pretty typical for fencing services to leave all of the dirt behind? It's going to take me a while to get my yard cleaned up after they came through. read more

Their installed latch on the backyard fence never worked and they took no responsibility for fixing it. Contractor refused to acknowledge the problem over the phone. Never addressed our concerns to him by text messages. We would not recommend this fence company. read more

The wait was a little longer than forecast, but the repair work crew was efficient and had the repairs done in 1.5 hours. The crew was cordial and courteous and when done one of the crew masked up and came to my door to let me know. The materials they used were superior to the ones the contractor used five years ago. I would recommend them to others ... just try not to get antsy for delays in the schedule. I know the company is having a very busy short season in Alaska. Great work! read more

This company doesn't stand behind their work and have caused a big headache for me. While digging a post hole to reinforce sections of fencing that they built a couple years ago, they cut a cable that knocked out my cable tv and internet. They also pulled on my last section of fencing and now it's leaning at a significant angle. When I called the company, they denied that they had anything to do with that section and would do nothing about it. I won't work with this company again. read more

They came to insert fence posts over the weekend and told us they would be back Tuesday once the posts set. It is Wednesday and they have yet to come. Keep in mind, we have a dog who loves to play outside and without a fence she's able to easily escape into the busy street. I gave them a call just trying to get an estimate of when they would be out, and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude. He tried to tell me I was lying about the workers telling me they'd be back on Tuesday. They already were 2 weeks late in even coming to install the posts. I am completely appalled by the lack of customer service and understanding by the man on the phone. No one support this business. They are very rude and didn't even try to explain or help us understand what was taking so long. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Anchor Fenceworks built a fence for our neighbor so they could keep their dog from wandering. Anchor Fenceworks trespassed on our property and built the fence from our property without asking permission. We had no problem with that in the interest of helping our neighbor get their fence built. However, Anchor Fenceworks left piles of dirt and rocks in our yard from the post holes. Our experience was similar to Josi H. but we had no contract with this disreputable company. We were treated like dirt ( no pun intended) and we were only a neighbor. I had a piece of plywood set up to protect my potted plants I was overwintering. They removed the plywood, laid it on top of my plants and used it as a table to cut the pieces for the fence. They did not bother to put the piece of plywood back, but left the plywood lying on top of my plants. They walked on my potted plants. They knocked over some pots but did not bother to set them upright again. They damaged a couple of pots. They broke branches off our lilac bush. They clearly have no respect for other people's property. I called the company and explained what the workers did. The guy hung up on me. When I called back he had the recorder answering the telephone. If you hire this second or third rate firm and have a problem with their work, good luck getting this business to stand by their work. This company used and abused my property and then hang up the phone when I try to tell them about the problems. I have filed a complaint against their business license to deal with the mess and damage they did. Here's a bit more information: Anchor Fenceworks has no quality control. They forgot to finish nailing a couple of boards. There is one nail in each of the two boards but I can pull the other side of the board out at least an inch because they forgot to nail the rest of the board in place. I said they built the fence from our side of the property line. The neighbor wanted a gate so we can talk to each other without the fence between us. This is an example of what you will get if you hire this low quality bunch of scammers. Do not count on getting professional service. Do not count on getting problems fixed. Once they have your money you likely will not get the time of day from these low life bozos. My neighbor said they were completely unreliable regarding when they would show up to build her fence. Their wokmanship appears to be of very poor quality. There are large gaps under the fence. Had they expended a tiny bit of brainpower and a bit of extra work and used the dirt from the post holes to level the ground under the fence they could have eliminated the gaps under the fence. My neighbor bought good quality cedar to build the fence. The object was to keep her wandering dog at home. One of the gaps is almost large enough for her dog to crawl under the fence. Anchor Fenceworks has no quality control. They forgot to finish nailing a couple of boards in place. A couple of boards are nailed on one side but the other side of the board is loose. I can pull the loose side of the board out at least an inch because they forgot to nail the rest of the board in place. I said they built the fence from our side of the property line. They hang up on me. If you hire them and have problems with them you have only yourself to blame. In the attached photo the plywood was in a vertical position held in place by two concrete blocks. These bozos removed the concrete blocks putting one of the concrete blocks on my plants and laying the piece of plywood on top of my plants and using it as a table to cut some of their fencing. Several of the plants were tipped over and upside down and left that way. There are three pots in the photo and two more not shown in this photo. Many of the pots still in an upright position are partially filled with sawdust. Remember I did not hire these bumbling trespassing idiots. They came on to my property without permission and did not care what they destroyed or damaged. They the owner or his manager hangs up on me when I complain about what they did to my property.
