A1 did 3 projects here for me this Summer. They turned a Jungle that was my backyard and made it into a awesome dog area with fencing that separates the dog area from the rest of the Yard. On Time and Hard Working well Managed, the guys that did the work are some of the best. A-1 has been in business for a long time and there's a reason why. We ordered a load of topsoil and a dump truck to load out some old stumps and shrubs. We had excellent communication from Borge the dispatcher and driver who showed up on time and with a great attitude. The quantity of the topsoil was the best I've seen in a long time... no sticks, rocks, or large clumps... just perfect black soil that was easy to spread. I've used A-1 three times this COVID 2020 Building season and have been very happy with their service. Once had a driver not call so I wasn't there to make payment. Delivery still made and when I went buy to pay I was informed supervisor was informed and it'd not happen again. So far top soil in the spring 15 yds. Sewer rock in fall 8 yds. Another 5 yds of top soil today and hydro seeding coming next week. Hydro soil was also guaranteed that if it didn't take this yr they'd re-seed in spring at no cost. All deliveries were same day and done timely. Lastly I treated them respectfully and I received same in my encounters with office staff. read more

I am not usually a DIY person but with us needing to sell our house soon and a rotten deck out back, i needed a cheap fast fix. I ordered 2 different products form A-1 and they where SUPPER than if i bought bags from Lowes or Home Depo! I got my patio put in in 1 day thanks to theses guys. the only hiccup we had was that i had to wait 1 day for the other product but the office called and communicated that to me beautifuly and i got the rest of my order, NEXT DAY! 10/10 will definatly use A-1 again! :) read more

After having miserable customer service from another company, I called A-1. While I ultimately didn't contract with them, I felt I needed to give a shout out to Ted, the estimator/supervisor that came out to my property. He gave me loads of advice, walked around the yard with me, was very professional, yet he explained things in layman terms for me. The sticker shock of his verbal quote nearly sent me into seizures and he knew I probably wasn't going to hire them, but he continued on and helped me immensely. I really appreciated that. I called and asked them to come out to give me an estimate to clear and level a 10' X 30' area in my back yard. They came back with an estimate of $11,300. I don't mind a business making a profit but I do not like being bent over with the assumption I would find this outrageousness acceptable. Stay clear of this business unless you have a boatload of money. read more

The following review is my personal experience with A1 and my own opinion only. Sadly, I did not do my due diligence on this company. It came to light from several people and digging further into reviews, after my experience with A1, that I was treated like many other customers were...horribly. I give a one star because I can't give 0 stars, which they should receive but I did want to acknowledge that the front desk ladies were the only nice people in the bunch, both in person and on the phone, worthy of at least a one star. My experience with the main employee, Ted, and the owner, Brett, was, how can I say without being a whiny woman, tragic at best. They both tried to intimidate and bully me when I questioned the inadequate job their company did. I filed a complaint about their improper grading of my property with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) when I could get no assistance from A1 to correct their mistakes. I suggest if you're reading this review you also read the review at the BBB website. Long story short, A1 did not adequately complete the work I paid for, the owner screamed and yelled at me when I called him on it, employee Ted conveniently forgot we spoke and in my opinion, had I been a man they would have treated me with much more respect. I would not recommend A1 or any other company affiliated with the owner or their employees. Contacted A1 Lawn for weed whacking on a Tuesday, was told someone would contact me with a quote by the the next day. Bethany called left me a voicemail in which she did not offer a quote only a request to call her back. Called back and spoke with Valerie who said she got the quote from Bethany and arranged to have service Thursday, possibly Friday. No one called and no one showed up. On Monday called the office to find out what was happening and was told there wasn't any notes in the call log. I asked to speak to the Melody the Office Manager who informed me she didn't know what happened and that I was on the schedule this week. I asked for the GM to phone me. Once I got him on the phone I asked him what he was going to do about it as I had been inconvenienced and he told me that he was ONLY the GM and didn't handle the schedule and that my lawn not getting mowed was not an inconvenience to me! The GM ended the call by saying that since I wanted to cancel that was ok as I they were clearly not going to be able to "help someone like me". Do yourself a favor and hire someone who wants the work and has the integrity to show up when they say they are going to. Horrid customer service - arguing on the phone with an employee is the wrong solution. If the conversation had started with an apology, this may have gone down differently. read more

This is my first year for using this service. We encountered a small problem with our patio area rug. But it proved to be no issue. A-1 Management reviewed the situation and resolved the issue promptly. I am quite pleased the way the manager stands behind his employees. They plow our subdivision! For the second time they haven't finished our driveway! Guys we're rude!

Do NOT get work done here. I only gave them 1 star because you can't rate them any lower. Their business practices are shady. Estimates and pricing are confusing. It seems like you're getting a good deal up front and then they hit you with a much bigger bill after the fact. I ended up paying twice as much as I was quoted because of lots of last minute charges, like dump fees and "manpower" hours. Just so you know, they say they'll haul off your bags for free, but they don't. Also, it's $25.3 per hour for each person working on your lawn at any given time so if they send 5 people to do the job, it's more than $125/hour. When I called for an explanation, I was told that there was nothing that could be done. The person on the phone even checked with her supervisor, and they refused to concede. The takeaway here is that I gave them the opportunity to right the wrong, and they chose not to. I will pay my bill in full, but I will never hire them again. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere. Don't get ripped off like I did. read more
